Abstract

Abstract: Analysis of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Method on Class IV Indonesian Language Literacy Ability at SDN Pedurungan Tengah 02 Semarang. This research aims to analyze the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method in improving the Indonesian language literacy skills of class IV students at SDN Pedurungan Tengah 02 Semarang. PBL is a learning approach that focuses on students in real situations in everyday life to solve problems, thereby improving critical thinking, collaboration and problem solving skills. This research method is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews and document analysis. The research results show that PBL can improve students' literacy skills, including reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. However, several challenges such as limited teacher resources, how to manage classes, and time constraints remain obstacles in implementing this method.   Keywords: Problem Based Learning, literacy, Indonesian, basic education, SDN Pedurungan Tengah 02. Abstrak: Analisis Metode Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada Kemampuan Literasi Bahasa Indonesia Kelas IV SDN Pedurungan Tengah 02 Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis metode Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi Bahasa Indonesia peserta didik kelas IV di SDN Pedurungan Tengah 02 Semarang. PBL adalah pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik dalam situasi riil atau nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan, sehingga meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, dan pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PBL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi peserta didik, meliputi keterampilan membaca, menulis, berbicara, dan mendengarkan. Namun, beberapa tantangan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya guru, cara mengelola kelas, dan keterbatasan waktu tetap menjadi hambatan dalam penerapan metode ini.                                      Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning, literasi, Bahasa Indonesia, pendidikan dasar, SDN Pedurungan Tengah 02.

Abstract

Tujuan peneilitan ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi membaca dalam soal asesmen nasional pada kelas IV di SD Negeri Pedurungan Tengah 02 tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025. Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan test dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas IV di SD Negeri Pedurungan Tengah 02 Berdasarkan hasil analisis terdapat 6,67% peserta didik memiliki kemampuan literasi membaca sangat baik, 26,67% peserta didik memiliki kemampuan membaca baik, 30,00% peserta didik memiliki kemampuan cukup baik, 13,33% peserta didik memiliki kemampuan kurang baik dan 23,33% peserta didik memiliki literasi membaca tidak baik. Adapun teori pendukung literasi yang relevan: Teori kontstruktivisme: Siswa membangun pemahaman mereka melalui pemahaman mereka sendiri melalui pengalaman dan interaksi dengan teks. Teori sosiokultural: Lingkungan sosial dan budaya sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan literasi siswa. Adapun faktor yang melatarbelakangi hasil dari kesulitan peserta didik dalam menjawab soal asesmen nasional adalah peserta didik kurang bisa memahami soal, kurang teliti dalam mengerjakan soal dan kurang bisa memahami teks bacaan hal ini didasarkan pada minat baca peserta didik yang rendah.

Abstract

Basic skills that must be possessed by elementary school students are literacy and numeracy skills. Skills and numeracy are important for an individual's capacity to apply thinking. Thinking is the capacity to examine and understand statements, through practice by controlling language and numerical signs experienced in everyday life to show approval orally or in writing, so that skills and numeracy become the main units for dealing with everyday problems and answering the challenges of the 21st century. This test is expected to train the educational and numeracy skills of elementary school students through the application of Game Based Learning. The technique used in this study is PTK or Homeroom Movement Investigation with the Stephen Kemmis and Mc. Taggart test plan model consisting of two stages of preparation. Based on these figures, the results of Game Based Mastering show PTK of 53% and Exploration of Learning Activities of 89%. While the skills show results of 51% and 68%. The completion of this study shows how the implementation of game-based learning can improve the academic and numeracy skills of students at SD Pedurungan Tengah 02.
