Abstract

ABSTRACT   Sungai Piring is one of the cassava chips production centers in Tembilahan. Cassava chips MSMEs in Sungai Piring face various challenges, one of which is managing sales data. Manual sales data management is often inaccurate and inefficient. Point of sales (POS) applications are one solution to overcome these challenges. The POS application can help cassava chips MSMEs in Sungai Pring to manage sales data more accurately and efficiently. The POS application can help Cassava Chips MSMEs in solving this problem. The POS application can help Cassava Chips MSMEs in managing sales data, providing more personalized customer service, managing stock more accurately, and conducting more effective marketing. the implementation of the POS application can provide significant benefits for the MSME business. Cassava chips in the river plate. UMKM keripik singkong di Sungai Piring menghadapi berbagai tantangan, salah satunya adalah dalam hal pengelolaan data penjualan. Pengelolaan data penjualan yang manual seringkali tidak akurat dan tidak efisien. Aplikasi point of sales (POS) merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Aplikasi POS dapat membantu UMKM keripik singkong di Sungai Pring dalam mengelola data penjualan secara lebih akurat dan efisien. Aplikasi POS dapat membantu UMKM Keripik Singkong dalam menyelesaikan persoalan tersebut. Aplikasi POS dapat membantu UMKM Keripik Singkong dalam mengelola data penjualan, memberikan pelayanan pelanggan yang lebih personal, mengelola stok barang secara lebih akurat, dan melakukan pemasaran yang lebih efektif. penerapan aplikasi POS dapat memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi bisnis UMKM Keripik singkong di sungai piring. Aplikasi POS dapat membantu UMKM Keripik Singkong dalam meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan pemasaran, sehingga dapat meningkatkan penjualan dan keuntungan.

Abstract

The production of cassava chips in Kuala Lahang Village, Gaung District, holds great potential for sustainably improving the local economy. This study analyzes the impact of cassava chip businesses on the village’s economic growth, focusing on increasing entrepreneurs’ income, creating job opportunities, and developing local community skills. This business provides opportunities for residents, especially farmers and housewives, to process local agricultural products into high-value goods with strong market demand. In addition to offering extra income, cassava chip production also opens up new job opportunities across various stages such as peeling, slicing, frying, packaging, and distribution. This initiative also fosters entrepreneurial skills at the village level. Thus, the activity not only enhances individual welfare but also contributes to strengthening the local economy and empowering the community. This analysis highlights the importance of government and stakeholder support in the form of training, access to capital, as well as adequate production and marketing facilities to maximize the economic potential of the cassava chip industry in Kuala Lahang Village
