Abstract

A child's motor movement is a movement that is carried out with the aim of exemplifying the behavior carried out by every human being. Children's motor skills are influenced by the maturity of the child's nerves and muscles. In other words, it is looked at and adjusted to the child's age and neurological maturity. Motor movements can be carried out if there is coordination of thousands of complex muscles, the movements of these muscles can be carried out deliberately, automatically, quickly and accurately. The aim of this research is to find out how much influence the traditional coconut shell stilt game has on improving gross motor skills in children aged 5-6 years. The research method used was quasi-experimental or pre-experimental research using a quantitative type of experiment. The design of this research is a group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at the Baitulmutaqien Tonga Wetan Kindergarten. The practical implementation time in the field is 12 meetings in 6 weeks. The research population was only 19 KB-RA Baitulmutaqien Kindergarten students aged 5 to 6 years. In this study, saturated sampling was used, that is, the entire population was used. The instrument in this research is standing on one leg in a "T" position. The hypothesis testing technique uses the Wilcoxon T test. The research results show that the Sig value (2-tiled) standing on one leg is 0.014 ≤ 0.05. This indicates that providing the traditional sport of coconut shell stilts has a significant influence on improving the gross motor movements of KB-RA Baitul Muttaqien Lidah Wetan Kindergarten students.

Abstract

Gross motor skills are the ability to move the body using large muscles, most or all of the body's gross motor skills are needed by children to sit, kick, run, go up and down stairs. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of walking on a boardwalk on gross motor development in children aged 5-6 years. The method used in this research is quasi-experiment. The design of this research is pretest and posttest (the one group pretest posttest design). This research was conducted at the Asfiyah Lidah Wetan Islamic Kindergarten, Lakarsantri District, Surabaya, East Java. The practice time in the field is 7 weeks with a training duration of 2 times per week. The population in this study were all students at Asfiyah Islamic Kindergarten who were active in walking on the boardwalk with a total of 45 students. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling, namely a sampling technique with the number of samples equal to the population. The research instruments that I carried out were using tests of walking forward with arms outstretched, walking sideways with arms outstretched, walking forward with hands on the waist, walking forward with hands folded in front of the chest, and standing on one leg in an airplane stance. The collection technique in this study used Wilcoxon. The conclusion in this study shows that there is a significant Sig (2-tailed) influence of the activity of walking on the boardwalk on the gross motor development of children aged 5-6 years at the Asfiyah Lidah Wetan Islamic Kindergarten using the outstretched hands forward walking test, walking sidewaysarms outstretched, walking forward with hands on your waist, walking forward with your hands folded in front of your chest, and standing on one leg in an airplane stance. It is proven that the Sig value. (2-tailed) of the five indicators < 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between arm muscle strength, arm muscle power, and balance on the accuracy of squat pointing results in UNESA UKM petanque athletes. The main problem is the lack of specific research that explores the physical factors that influence the squat pointing technique in petanque. The research method used is a quantitative approach involving 20 athletes, 10 men and 10 women as samples. Data were collected through the measurement of arm muscle strength using a push-up test, arm muscle power through throwing a medicine ball, balance with the BESS method, and the accuracy of squat pointing. Data analysis was carried out by normality prerequisite test, as well as hypothesis test using Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between arm muscle strength (r = -0.643, p < 0.01), arm muscle power (r = -0.732, p < 0.01), and balance (r = -0.590, p < 0.01) on the accuracy of squat pointing results. Conclusion The results of this study show that arm muscle strength, arm muscle power, and balance have a significant relationship with squat pointing accuracy in petanque athletes. Arm muscle power is the dominant factor that affects the accuracy of the throw. These findings show the importance of developing strength, power, and balance in the training program of petanque athletes to improve performance. Abstract

Kabaddi is a traditional outdoor game played with slight variations across India. Prevention of hamstring injuries in kabaddi athletes requires a multifaceted approach, including a balanced muscle strengthening program, regular flexibility training, thorough warm-up before the match, and adequate recovery after intense activity. This study aims to analyze the effect of sports massage on muscle flexibility and pain threshold in the hamstring muscles of Surabaya Kabaddi athletes. The research method used was quantitative with a pretest-posttest design in two groups, namely the experimental group given sports massage intervention and the control group. The sample in this study was 12 Surabaya Kabaddi athletes who were divided into 2 groups, namely the treatment group and the control group using the Total Sampling technique. The results of the Paired t-test showed that there was a significant effect on the hamstring muscles after being given sports massage and a decrease in the pain threshold in the experimental group compared to the control group, as evidenced by the results of the t-test which showed a significant value <0.05. It can be concluded that sports massage can have an effect on hamstring muscle flexibility and pain threshold.
