Abstract

Smartphones in the digital age are an inseparable object in everyday life. Both parents and children are its users. The use of smartphones if not used wisely will have a negative impact, one of which is addiction. Smartphone addiction is also often found in the school environment, due to the lack of self-control and time management skills so that it disrupts their activities. This results in problems such as withdrawal, decreased direct or face-to-face interaction, decreased grades, lack of focus and making individuals less sensitive to the surrounding environment. The method used in this community service uses qualitative with the type of guidance and counseling action research (PTBK) using differential reinforcement of alternative behavior techniques. The selection of the technique aims to reduce unwanted behavior by replacing other alternative behaviors that are based on the interest of students. Other alternatives that are considered capable of reducing these behaviors such as reading books, paskibraka, hanging out with friends, and also cooking activities. The results of the community service obtained that the differential reinforcement of alternative behavior technique is effectively applied to junior high school children to reduce smartphone addiction with changes according to the desired target.

Abstract

Abstrak Santri ialah orang yang melakukan kewajiban menuntut ilmu dan agama di suatu lembaga pendidikan berbasis keagamaan. Penggunaan nama santri biasa dipakai di pondok pesantren. Di dalam pondok pesantren santri dituntut paham akan agama beriringan dengan akademik. Sehingga kegiatan di pondok pesantren dinilai tertata, padat, dan terjadwal. Dengan begitu, kesejahteraan psikologis santri ialah hal penting untuk mewujudkan keseimbangan hidup santri. Kesejahteraan psikologi merupakan keadaan keseimbangan mental dan fisik seseorang untuk mencapai kebahagiaan dalam kehidupannya. Salah satu fenomena yang ditemui selama di pondok pesantren ialah rendahnya kemandirian belajar santri. Hal ini ditandai dengan santri yang kurang mampu mengutarakan pendapat, cenderung mengikuti jawaban temannya, dan kurang percaya pada kemampuan dirinya sendiri. Pada aspek tersebut, erat hubungannya dengan kesejahteraan psikologi. Dimana apabila seseorang bisa mandiri maka ia akan memperoleh kesejahteraan psikologis yang tinggi pula. Fenomena tersebut ditemui pada salah satu pondok pesantren di Sidoarjo. Menunjukkan bahwa dari 30 responden terdapat 5 diantaranya yang memiliki kemandirian belajar rendah. Merujuk pada 5 sampel sebagai subjek penelitian yang mempunyai kemandirian belajar yang rendah. Adanya permasalahan tersebut peneliti memberikan suatu layanan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar santri. Pada penelitian ini diberikan sebuah treatment yaitu konseling realita yang berfokus pada permasalahan dan tanggung jawab individu. Dengan jenis penelitian Pre-Eksperimental One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design untuk membandingkan hasil nilai tes sebelum dan sesudah diberikan treatment. Analisis pada penelitian ini menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon dan menunjukkan Asymp. Sig (2-Tailed) 0,042 < 0,05 yang dimana konseling realita efektif meningkatkan kemandirian belajar santri. Penelitian ini diharapkan agar individu memiliki tingkat kemandirian belajar yang tinggi.Kata Kunci : Konseling Individu, Realita, Kemandirian Belajar AbstractSantri refers to individuals who are committed to pursuing religious and academic knowledge in religious-based educational institutions, commonly used in pesantren (Islamic boarding schools). In pesantren, students are expected to understand both religious studies and academics, with well-organized and scheduled activities. As such, the psychological well-being of santri is crucial to achieving a balanced life. Psychological well-being is the state of mental and physical balance that leads to happiness in one's life. One phenomenon observed in pesantren is the low learning independence of santri. This is characterized by students being unable to express their opinions, tending to follow their peers' answers, and lacking confidence in their own abilities. This issue is closely related to psychological well-being, as independent individuals tend to have higher psychological well-being. This phenomenon was observed in one of the pesantren in Sidoarjo, where out of 30 respondents, 5 of them showed low learning independence. Referring to these 5 samples as the research subjects, the researcher provided a service to improve their learning independence. In this study, a treatment was given, namely reality counseling, focusing on individual problems and responsibilities. Using a Pre-Experimental One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design, the study aimed to compare test results before and after the treatment. The analysis used the Wilcoxon Test, which showed Asymp. Sig (2-Tailed) 0.042 < 0.05, indicating that reality counseling is effective in improving the learning independence of santri. This research is expected to help individuals achieve a higher level of learning independence.Key Words: Individual Counseling, Reality, Learning Independence

Abstract

Guidance and counseling are aspects that cannot be separated from education. Education is not just a teaching and learning process, but will also influence the problems experienced by students. In its implementation, guidance and counseling teachers are professional figures who will help serve students in achieving development. Students need guidance and counseling because they still lack knowledge regarding themselves and their environment. Guidance and counseling teachers need valid data to describe students' needs. For this reason, it is hoped that the existence of assessments can be a tool in knowing the needs of each student. Where the results of the assessment will help guidance and counseling teachers in implementing guidance and counseling programs. A guidance and counseling program will not run efficiently if its implementation is not systematic and not aligned with a quality management system. In this research, the author used a qualitative method in the nature of a literature study. This method requires books or other literature as the main material. So it is found that assessment has an important role in implementing guidance and counseling programs. The assessment will later be able to help guidance and counseling teachers in making accurate diagnoses, developing effective action plans, increasing students' self-related knowledge, and so on. The stages in preparing a guidance and counseling program so that it runs effectively are as follows: a). preparation stage, which includes assessment b).
