Abstract

Worms are one of the most common infectious diseases in children. Worm disease is transmitted through food, especially food that has been contaminated with worm eggs. The community service activities are aimed at increasing the knowledge and understanding of school children, as part of an effort to prevent and reduce the prevalence of intestinal worms in children. The service activity begins with distributing pre-test sheets to be filled in by students, this is done to determine the level of students' initial knowledge and understanding of the material to be delivered. Health education efforts are carried out by providing counseling to students regarding clean and healthy lifestyles as well as intestinal worms and prevention efforts. After the counseling was carried out, the team then carried out a post test, to measure students' understanding regarding the material for a clean and healthy lifestyle and intestinal worms. The results of the post test conducted showed an increase in students' knowledge.

Abstract

Community service activities carried out in Teunbaun Village, Kupang Regency, aim to increase the knowledge and understanding of Christ Raja Elementary School students about personal hygiene and skin diseases, especially dermatophytes. Through educational activities held for 30 students in grades 5 and 6, the service team succeeded in increasing students' understanding of risk factors, symptoms and prevention of skin diseases. The results of the education carried out show an increase in students' knowledge and understanding. Personal hygiene practices such as bathing, brushing teeth and washing hands regularly are seen as one of the efforts that can be taken to prevent the spread of germs and increase the risk of skin diseases. Furthermore, educational activities like this need to be carried out on an ongoing basis to increase students' understanding and awareness of the importance of maintaining health.

Abstract

Kader posyandu memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam mencegah dan mengatasi stunting. Pengetahuan tentang MP ASI yang lengkap memberi kemampuan kader dalam melakukan konseling dan penyuluhan gizi kepada ibu Baduta dan Balita. Dibutuhkan upaya  percepatan  penanganan  stunting  salah  satunya  melalui  optimalisai  peran  kader  posyandu. Kader juga dilibatkan dalam memasak menu makanan untuk balita stunting dan ibu hamil. Secara umum kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menguatkan Kader posyandu untuk : berpartisipasi aktif dalam melakukan tindakan preventif terhadap peluang munculnya masalah kekurangan gizi, meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman tentang asupan gizi, menu PMT dan pencegahan stunting, Mendukung program pemerintah daerah dalam menjaga dan meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat. Pelaksanaan pengumpulan data dalam pengabdian ini menggunakan jenis Eksplorasi dengan kombinasi rancangan Observasi dan Cross sectional Study. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 Oktober 2023 dengan lokasi kegiatan Kantor Desa Likwatang, Kecamatan Alor Tengah Utara, Kabupaten Alor. Adapun target pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah Kader Posyandu di desa tersebut sebanyak 15 orang. Kegiatan ini berlangsung lancar dengan dukungan pemerintah Kabupaten melalui puskesmas Mebung dan pemerintah Desa. Terdapat peningkatan pemahaman tentang materi yang tercermin melalui test dan evaluasi partisipasi peserta.
