Abstract

The quality of nursing services is main and contributes to health recovery, community welfare, and maintaining hospital stability. Patient satisfaction is a purpose for determining how efficiently healthcare is presented. The aim of this study is to conduct research on the correlation between the quality of nursing services and the satisfaction level of inpatients in Siloam Hospital Manado. The method used was a cross sectional study with a population of 166 patients. The number of samples was 62 respondents after being selected using stratified random sampling techniques. The data analysis was use univariate and bivariate (chi-square using fisher exact test analysis) technique to know related among variables. The result of the study showed the information about nursing service quality is significantly related to the level of satisfaction of inpatient patients. Therefore, the results of this research fully support every hospital in Indonesia to maintain nursing services quality in each institution.

Abstract

Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) merupakan salah satu pilar penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan masyarakat, terutama di lingkungan sekolah. Namun, rendahnya kesadaran siswa sekolah dasar terhadap kebiasaan mencuci tangan dengan benar masih menjadi tantangan besar yang berdampak pada kesehatan anak-anak. Berdasarkan survei awal, ditemukan bahwa siswa belum memahami pentingnya mencuci tangan dan langkah-langkah yang benar. Untuk itu, tim pengabdian dari Program Studi Keperawatan Universitas Pembangunan Indonesia, Manado, melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa penyuluhan dan simulasi langkah-langkah mencuci tangan yang benar di SD Gemim I Desa Kembes II pada 18 November 2024. Kegiatan ini melibatkan siswa sebagai peserta utama dan dilakukan melalui pendekatan interaktif. Penyuluhan diberikan menggunakan alat bantu seperti leaflet dan baliho, yang menjelaskan pentingnya mencuci tangan, waktu yang tepat, serta langkah-langkah mencuci tangan yang benar. Selain itu, simulasi praktik mencuci tangan dilakukan untuk memastikan siswa dapat mempraktikkan apa yang telah dipelajari. Dokumentasi kegiatan berupa foto dan materi penyuluhan digunakan untuk mendukung pelaporan kegiatan.Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa dalam mencuci tangan yang benar. Siswa mampu memahami materi yang disampaikan dan mempraktikkan langkah-langkah mencuci tangan dengan baik. Kegiatan ini juga berhasil menciptakan kesadaran yang lebih besar akan pentingnya kebersihan tangan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif yang relevan dengan tujuan pengabdian masyarakat, yaitu meningkatkan pemahaman dan praktik siswa terhadap Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS). Melalui pendekatan transfer knowledge yang interaktif dan efektif, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung terciptanya lingkungan sekolah yang lebih sehat.

Abstract

Fracture surgery pain makes it difficult for patients to do daily activities. The pain that occurs is caused by bone fractures that injure healthy tissue. Some independent actions that nurses can take to help patients are by using pain management to eliminate or reduce pain. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be given to patients who experience pain is deep breathing relaxation. This therapy is one way for nurses to create a therapeutic environment by using themselves as a tool or medium for counseling in order to help others with health problems. To determine the effectiveness of the implementation of breathing relaxation therapy on post-operative pain of humerus fractures. The method used is a case study. The subjects used were post-operative patients with humerus fractures with pain problems. The results of the study with the application of evidence-based nursing deep breathing relaxation techniques carried out for 2 days, found that the level of pain on the first day was on a pain scale of 6, and on the second day decreased to a scale of 2, from the evaluation results it was found that deep breathing relaxation techniques were effective in reducing pain levels. The results of the case study showed that the level of pain after being given deep breathing relaxation technique intervention there was a decrease in pain in the client. To all health workers to provide non-pharmacological therapy in the form of deep breathing relaxation techniques and provide education so that clients can apply this therapy every time they feel pain.
