Abstract

Indonesia memiliki beragam suku, ras, dan budaya yang memiliki keunikan sendiri pada kearifan lokal-nya. Salah satu kearifan lokal pada Kecamatan Windusari Kabupaten Magelang yaitu Merti Dusun dengan fungsi utama melestarikan sumber mata air yang dapat dijadikan sebagai mitigasi bencana pada wilayah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengemukakan kearifan lokal yang ada pada wilayah tersebut sebagai upaya pengelolaan sumber daya alam yang ada. Metode kajian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur, data primer hasil wawancara dan observasi serta menganalisisnya untuk mendapatkan strategi pengelolaan sumber daya alam berbasis kearifan lokal. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan pengelolaan sumber daya alam di Kecamatan Windusari menggunakan kearifan lokal Merti Dusun dengan beberapa susunan seperti membersihkan sendang, slametan, pertunjukan kesenian, dan yang menjadikan ciri khas adalah adanya pernikahan tembakau sebagai bentuk rasa syukur hasil pertanian yang melimpah meskipun di bulan kemarau. Dengan mengembangkan acara Merti Dusun diharapkan menjadi salah satu wisata karena keberagaman budayanya dan dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat.

Abstract

The food industry has various potential risks that can affect workplace safety, production smoothness, and product quality. Loso Tofu Factory in Semarang City is a medium-scale industry facing such risks. This study aims to analyze risks in the tofu production process using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method and Risk Priority Number (RPN). Among 13 identified risks, five main risks were prioritized for mitigation: slippery production area (R10), soybean spillage due to employee slips caused by slippery areas (R9), tofu crumbling during cutting (R11), mixing of waste with soybeans (R2), and incorrect tofu cutting (R12). Mitigation measures include improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), conducting work training, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintaining production equipment. The results demonstrate that implementing mitigation strategies can enhance workplace safety, production efficiency, product quality, and ensure industrial sustainability. This research underscores the importance of proactive risk management in maintaining operational continuity and product standards in the food industry. By addressing these prioritized risks, Loso Tofu Factory can minimize disruptions, reduce hazards, and strengthen its position as a sustainable medium-scale enterprise. The integration of FMEA and RPN provides a systematic approach to identifying and managing critical risks, offering a model for similar industries to improve safety and production outcomes.

Abstract

Waste management remains a major issue in Indonesia, particularly in rural areas, where open burning is common. This practice contributes to environmental pollution and increases the risk of community health problems. The UNNES GIAT 12 program implemented rocket stove technology in Mergowati Village, Kedu Subdistrict, Temanggung Regency, as an environmentally friendly and sustainable approach to organic waste management. This research-based community service initiative evaluated the effectiveness of rocket stoves in reducing organic waste volume, lowering potential environmental and health impacts, and promoting their use as a community-based alternative energy source. The program applied a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving residents and village officials in needs identification, stove construction, operational training, and evaluation. Results showed that the rocket stove reached an average temperature of 615°C within 13 minutes, reduced waste volume by up to 90%, and significantly decreased smoke emissions compared to open burning. The remaining ash can be reused as organic fertilizer, adding value to local agriculture. Most residents perceived the technology as easy to operate, safer, and feasible for sustained use.
