Abstract

In recent years, an increase in the number of factories and industries has led to an increase in the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere. One of the areas affected by air pollution is Wonorejo, Selomerto sub-district, Wonosobo district, where factories have become the main source of air pollution. This study aims to determine the impact of industrial factory smoke PT. Multi Energi Biomass, a company located in Wonorejo village, Selomerto sub-district, Wonosobo district regarding the condition of the surrounding community. The research method used is a descriptive approach by collecting data through literature studies and interviews with local communities. Data were obtained through structured interviews using a question guide covering perceptions, impacts, countermeasures, and problems encountered. In addition, field observations were made to directly observe factory activities, smoke emissions, and interactions with the surrounding environment. The results of the study revealed that the smoke from PT. Biomass Multi Energy, which is located in Wonorejo village, Selomerto sub-district, Wonosobo district, can have a negative impact on the health and quality of life of the surrounding community. Because smoke emissions are issued in the chimney at the factory continuously. Communities around the industrial factory of PT. Multi Energi Biomass, has made a number of efforts in overcoming air pollution due to the smoke from the industrial factory of PT. Biomass Multi Energy.

Abstract

Salah satu tujuan utama pendidikan yaitu mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, karena keterampilan ini menjadi landasan untuk menghadapi tantangan kompleks dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan karir di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) mengetahui implementasi model pembelajaran POE dengan metode demonstrasi 2) mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran POE melalui metode demonstrasi 3) mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran POE melalui demonstrasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa soal pretest dan posttest, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) implementasi model pembelajaran POE dengan metode demonstrasi mampu memberikan kemudahan bagi siswa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. 2) adanya perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang dibuktikan dengan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yang ditunjukan dengan perolehan thitung = 3,257 dan ttabel = 2,085, thitung > ttabel dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. 3) hasil uji gain terbukti bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis yaitu dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 56,57 pada kategori sedang dan tafsiran efektivitas sebesar 56,57% pada kriteria cukup efektif.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the improvement in physics learning outcomes in the kinematics of rectilinear motion material and student responses to the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in the learning process. This research is included in the type of Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects in this research were students of class XI Science 4 MA Negeri 1 Wonosobo for the 2023/2024 academic year with a total of 36 students. This research resulted that the overall percentage of individual completeness increased from cycle 1 to cycle II, namely from 55.6% to 78% and the overall percentage of classical completeness also increased, namely from 60% to 80%. Student responses tend to be positive where students state they are happy with the learning process using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This research can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve the physics learning outcomes of class XI IPA 4 MA Negeri 1 Wonosobo students on the Kinematics of rectilinear motion material
