Abstract

This article discusses the importance of museum accessibility for people with disabilities, especially in the context of the Asian-African Conference Museum (KAA) in Bandung, Indonesia. This research aims to determine the accessibility of the KAA Museum in its efforts to demonstrate social inclusion, especially for people with disabilities. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the challenges, efforts and impacts of accessibility on museum visitors. The KAA Museum emphasizes its commitment as a "Museum for All" by providing braille books, audio books, wheelchairs and sign language guides. Future challenges such as improving facilities and technology will provide opportunities for the KAA Museum to continue to improve accessibility and be inclusive for all visitors regardless of their background or disability. In addition, the KAA Museum collaborates with various communities to improve access for people with disabilities.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the user interface design of the Al-Bayan Superior Islamic Boarding School (PU) Library website using a heuristic method. This evaluation includes analysis of navigation, visual appearance, accessibility and ease of use. The heuristic method used involves ten design principles proposed by Jacob Nielsen to identify problems in the user interface and provide recommendations for improvement. The research results show that the Al-Bayan library website has several positive aspects such as direct feedback, easy-to-understand language, and an aesthetic minimalist design. Although there are still some things that need improvement such as improving the consistency of visual feedback, form validation to prevent input errors, and improving submenu accessibility. It is hoped that these recommendations will help library managers improve the user experience and better support the student learning process through easier and more efficient access to information. Keyword: heuristic evaluation, user interface design, library website, user experience   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi desain user interface website Perpustakaan SMA Pesantren Unggulan (PU) Al-Bayan menggunakan metode heuristik. Evaluasi ini mencakup analisis terhadap navigasi, tampilan visual, aksesibilitas, serta kemudahan penggunaan. Metode heuristik yang digunakan melibatkan sepuluh prinsip desain yang diusulkan Jacob Nielsen untuk mengidentifikasi masalah dalam user interface dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa website perpustakaan Al-Bayan memiliki beberapa aspek positif seperti umpan balik langsung, bahasa yang mudah dipahami, dan desain minimalis yang estetis. Meskipun masih ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperbaiki seperti meningkatkan konsistensi umpan balik visual, validasi formulir untuk mencegah kesalahan input, dan peningkatan aksesibilitas submenu. Diharapkan rekomendasi ini akan membantu pengelola perpustakaan meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna dan mendukung proses pembelajaran siswa dengan lebih baik melalui akses informasi yang lebih mudah dan efisien.

Abstract

College libraries need to create thematic services to vary the presentation of information to users. This research explores the role of Sunan Kalijaga Corner at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library in preserving Javanese Islamic values. Using a case study-based qualitative approach. Data was collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis uses thematic analysis related to this problem. Test validity with credibility test through extended observation, triangulation, and member check The Corner not only provides rich literature on Javanese Islam, but also becomes a space for education and cultural reflection that encourages religious moderation and an inclusive Islamic identity. The results show that the Corner is able to bridge tradition and modernity through various activities, such as book discussions, workshops, and thematic exhibitions. However, challenges such as limited resources and low interest of the younger generation demand innovative strategies to maintain its relevance and sustainability. This research confirms the importance of Sunan Kalijaga Corner as a model of cultural and religious integration, which strengthens Indonesian Islamic identity amidst the challenges of globalization.
