Abstract

Coffee aromatherapy candles are candles that contain fragrant ingredients in the form of coffee which have many benefits and can be used as refreshing, relaxing, curing headaches, eliminating stress and anxiety, improving mood and overcoming insomnia as well as being a solution for the community in efforts to increase the body's immunity. . This article attempts to provide an overview and explanation regarding the work program for making coffee aromatherapy candles, including the process, stages, results and benefits. This article was written using a qualitative approach with a descriptive-explanatory model. As a result, the community receives new understanding and insights regarding the use of agricultural products. This article is limited to the implementation of KKN for the 2023/2024 period

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang kaya akan buah-buahan tropis, salah satunya buah nangka yang banyak ditemukan di berbagai daerah. Selama ini, pemanfaatan buah nangka hanya terbatas pada daging buahnya, sedangkan bijinya belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal dan sering menjadi limbah. Padahal, biji nangka mengandung zat gizi penting seperti protein, karbohidrat, vitamin A, B, C, serta mineral kalsium, fosfor, dan zat besi yang berpotensi mencegah anemia. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, tim Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) mengembangkan inovasi produk berbasis bahan lokal bernama TEBIKA (Teh Celup Biji Nangka), yaitu minuman herbal alami yang diolah dari limbah biji nangka untuk membantu pencegahan anemia pada remaja putri. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri atas tiga aspek utama, yaitu aspek produksi, strategi pemasaran, dan manajemen usaha. Proses produksi meliputi tahapan pencucian, perebusan, pengeringan, penghalusan, dan pengemasan yang dilakukan secara higienis hingga menghasilkan teh celup siap seduh. Strategi pemasaran dilakukan secara offline melalui bazar dan penyebaran brosur, serta online melalui media sosial dan platform e-commerce. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa produk TEBIKA memiliki cita rasa khas, tidak pahit, dapat diseduh tanpa gula, dan dikemas menarik sehingga diminati konsumen. Produksi perdana sebanyak 15 kotak berhasil terjual habis dengan harga Rp15.000/kotak (isi 10 kantong teh), menunjukkan potensi penerimaan pasar yang baik. Inovasi ini tidak hanya memberikan nilai tambah ekonomi, tetapi juga mendukung pengurangan limbah organik dan upaya peningkatan kesehatan remaja putri melalui konsumsi minuman herbal fungsional berbasis bahan lokal.
