Abstract

The existence of culture and history in museums as a place to store collections of historical objects often gives the impression that the museum is an ancient building, dark and unkempt. Meanwhile, the new paradigm in museum management is that museums are no longer just places to store historical objects, but need to present collections in attractive packaging so that visitors are interested in coming back to the museum.  The aim of this research is to strengthen the use of the Ulen Sentalu Museum as a social studies learning resource, because the overall concept of the Ulen Sentalu Museum is more modern compared to other museums in Indonesia. This research method is a qualitative method using interview, observation and documentation study data collection techniques. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data presentation, data reduction and data verification.  The results of this research are (1) the cultural and historical values ​​of the Ulen Sentalu Museum in embedding existing philosophical values, (2) the cultural and historical values ​​related to the rules and regulations in the Ulen Sentalu Museum are used as a source of social studies learning. In this way, it can be used as part of the culture and history contained in the Ulen Sentalu Museum and used as a source of social studies learning as part of educational literacy.

Abstract

Education as something that is familiar in people's lives, especially in the current situation, the education system in Indonesia has experienced development, moreover because of the relatively rapid movement in the field of education. The teaching and learning process is basically carried out manually, that is, face-to-face meetings between educators and students are carried out at schools, using the Teacher Centered Learning (TCL) approach. The research method used is quantitative method with this type of research is Quasi Experimental Design (quasi-experimental). Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques used the normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis testing and normalized gain test to identify improvements in the results of the research conducted. The results of data analysis and statistical calculations using a Likert scale show that the attitude of students towards learning media based on E-Learning in general shows a very good attitude and the attitude of students towards learning media based on E-Learning for each individual shows a very good attitude, so it can be concluded that the interpretation of the scale of attitudes of students towards learning media based on E-Learning is in the very good category.

Abstract

Management of teaching and learning activities is an effort made by the teacher so that the learning process can run well and smoothly. The success of the teacher in carrying out teaching and learning activities is inseparable from how the teacher manages the learning carried out so that students can achieve optimal levels of ability in accordance with the expected goals. Management of teaching and learning is an important element of teacher competence and must be implemented. Because the management of teaching and learning is needed in learning activities. The purpose of this study is to identify that in carrying out innovative learning in order to ensure how learning activities continue, even though students are at home. The research method used qualitative method with qualitative descriptive type, data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the way to overcome the obstacles experienced during the process of implementing distance learning at Setia Bhakti Cilawu Middle School is that the teacher independently records learning videos about material that is difficult to understand, parents re-study the material so that they can help students in learning, the teacher gives project assignments so students can be creative in making media, and establish good communication between parents and teacher.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning motivation of these students which can hinder the development of learning and is a threat to the progress of learning so that it must be handled appropriately. Parents and teachers are required to be able to overcome this. The research objective is to identify the efforts that can be made to realize national education goals through educational institutions known as schools. One of the subjects developed in schools is Social Sciences education. The research method used qualitative method with qualitative descriptive type, data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of the research show that the low learning motivation of students in the pandemic era made teachers determined to maximize their role as teachers in order to help students increase their learning motivation. This is not spared from the various ways that teachers use so that students' learning motivation can increase including, namely, making students active in learning activities carried out online or online, diluting the class atmosphere, making learning methods that are good and not boring, especially in learning in the new normal era as it is today.
