Abstract

Abstract – The 21st century is a major challenge for the development of general education in preparing young people in the nation and the wider life without limits. Education became the center of the adjustment of each individual role as the public face of the world today. Global perspective becomes an important education is taught by any educational institution in order to give birth to a generation that is able to compete in the global life without losing its local characteristics. Social character student that grows naturally in the local life will become a symbol of strength and intelligence implementation of local values developed in the global life through education system. Civic and social studies education as subject which cannot be relased to the developing and changes of society. Civic and social studies educatioan has a major role in bridging of social character education for the student to be humanize. Keywords – global perspective education, social character, humanize.

Abstract

Model training keterampilan sosial dapat meningkatkan efikasi diri siswa di SMP Negeri 1, SMP Negeri 2 dan SMP Negeri 3 Ciamis. Model training yang digunakan melalui; (a) sistem modelling, dilakukan dengan cara memperlihatkan contoh tentang ketrampilan berperilaku yang spesifik, (b) bermain peran, dilakukan dengan cara mendengarkan petunjuk yang disajikan model atau melalui video, (c) umpan balik terhadap kinerja yang tepat, yang dilakukan dengan cara memberi pengukuh terhadap peserta yang menunjukkan kinerja yang tepat. Setelah dilakukannya model training ini dapat 1)meningkatnya kecakapan dalam keterampilan sosial; 2) siswa aktif bertanya kepada guru ketika ada mata pelajaran yang tidak dimengerti, memahami dan mengatur emosi diri maupun orang lain (kontrol emosi), 3) siswa merespon orang lain dan mengarahkan tindakan sosial (sikap sosial), 4) interaksi dan berkomunikasi siswa secara verbal maupun non verbal (komunikasi) dengan individu dan kelompok lainnya sehingga membentuk siswa menjadi trampil berinteraksi dengan orang-orang di sekitarnya, baik dalam hubungan formal maupun informal, 5) siswa bertanggung jawab atas tindakan (tanggung jawab) dan, 6) siswa lebih memperhatikan orang lain (peduli).

Abstract

Developing social skills is an important thing for students to have because it can form awareness of behavior for students, both in terms of interacting with other people, how to communicate, building a group that strengthens each other, trusts each other and to the extent that individuals are able to solve problems. The purpose of conducting this research is (1) to determine the understanding of peer acceptance of students at SMPN 1 Pakenjeng. (2) knowing the social skills of students at SMPN 1 Pakenjeng. (3) find out how effective peer acceptance is in strengthening the social skills of students at SMPN 1 Pakenjeng. The background to this research is the low level of peer acceptance, which has an impact on strengthening students' social skills. This research uses a quantitative approach, collecting data through distributing questionnaires and interviews. The population was all class VII students at SMPN 1 Pakenjeng, then through simple random sampling finally obtained 35 students as respondents. Based on the results of the research, it shows that (1) the understanding of peer acceptance among SMPN 1 Pakenjeng students is classified as sufficient/medium (2) the form of social skills in SMPN 1 Pakenjeng students is Self-related Behavior (behavior related to oneself) (3) the existence of acceptance Peers are quite effective in strengthening social skills in students at SMPN 1 Pakenjeng.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are basically influenced by many factors, one of which is the use of learning methods. Teacher creativity in presenting learning material using various methods has implications for the low quality of social studies learning outcomes which has an impact on students' low interest in learning. Through experimental research on social studies learning using the Snowball Throwing Method, researchers examined the results of social studies learning using this method, can the snowball throwing method improve social studies learning outcomes for the better? An experimental study conducted on class VIII students at SMP 1 Samarang showed that student learning outcomes before implementing the snowball throwing learning model in social studies subjects were still low because the teacher prepared an interesting learning model, not knowing what the teacher had to do. when students feel less enthusiastic about learning, especially in social studies subjects, when student learning outcomes after applying the social studies learning model become better or can be said to have improved compared to previous learning outcomes. The snowball throwing learning method can improve social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' perceptions toward PLP (Scool Introduction) students teaching skills in social studies learning. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of 224 respondents from 7 state junior high schools in Garut Regency. The sample that became the object of research was grade 8 students. The samples were drawn using stratified random sampling. The results showed that PLP students in the class, according to students' perceptions: 1) The teaching skills ability in social studies learning was medium category; 2) Attainment The highest indicator of teaching skills was the students ability to open lessons, including: conveying learning objectives, conveying the benefits of the material to be studied as a form of motivation, and conducting apperception, namely associating the material that has been studied with the material that will be studied; 3) The lowest ability was the ability to utilize learning resources and media, including when teaching less use of learning media such as pictures or videos and only using textbooks, not using other learning resources.

Abstract

Social studies learning tends to be a subject that is less attractive to students. This can be caused by the learning model that is not appropriate and the presentation is still monotonous, so that students become bored and lack enthusiasm in learning. It is known that the results of the Social Studies test for class VII, 23 out of 32 students scored <70, which means that student learning outcomes are low. This study aims to determine the implementation of the make a match type of cooperative learning model in improving student learning outcomes in social studies subjects. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method (quasi-experimental). Sources of data were taken from students of class VII MTs. Exactly Tarogong Garut, totaling 42 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using tests and observation sheets. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded: 1) The implementation of the make a match cooperative model in improving student learning outcomes in social studies subjects is included in good criteria. 2) Social studies learning with the make a match cooperative learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes. It can be seen in the N-Gain results that the experimental class got 0.36 results in the "Medium" category while the control class got 0.21 results in the "Low" category.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using Google Classroom in the Malaysian Art History and Fine Arts Appreciation courses by PPISMP students. Students have used Google Classroom as an e-learning teaching and learning platform during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The research design used is quantitative and qualitative using questionnaire and survey methods. The respondents were 29 PPISMP students who were taking Malaysian Art History and Fine Art Appreciation courses. From the research objectives, it is known that the majority of respondents strongly agree that lecturers always provide the latest information in e-learning using the Google Classroom platform. The majority of respondents strongly agree that the use of Google Classroom can improve students' ability to apply the knowledge and understanding gained in the Malaysian Art History and Fine Art Appreciation courses. The research results show that the types of activities that students often carry out are taking notes and delivering lecture material and submitting assignments and assignments to lecturers.

Abstract

The quality of learning is determined by learning activities. This research aims to determine the implementation of distance learning (PJJ) for lower classes at SDN IV Samarang with the aim of maintaining the quality of learning, including: 1. To find out learning planning; 2. To find out the implementation of learning; 3. To find out learning evaluation. The benefit of this research is to increase scientific insight and a clearer theoretical/conceptual framework regarding the implementation of distance learning with the aim of maintaining the quality of learning. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method with document analysis research type. Participants were lower grade teachers, lower grade students, and parents of lower grade students. Data collection was carried out by analyzing documents, observations and interviews. Data analysis/processing is carried out by describing the state of the content/material, and looking for a presentation of the quality of learning through the learning outcomes of lower class students in the form of pie charts in the implementation of distance learning. Based on the results of research carried out by researchers, it can be concluded that: 1. The learning planning that was made before carrying out learning activities in PJJ was very good, this is proven by the learning planning that meets the four elements that must be present in learning planning, namely; (1) there are goals that must be achieved, (2) there are strategies to achieve the goals, (3) resources that can support and, (4) implementation of each decision. 2. Implementation of distance learning, for the successful implementation of learning is good enough based on the learning components that have been implemented and are interrelated, including: (1) teachers, (2) students, (3) learning materials, (4) learning methods, ( 5) learning media, and (6) learning evaluation. 3. Evaluation of distance learning has been sufficiently implemented in involving five evaluation principles and elements including schools, parents, the environment and society at large. As well as learning results which are shown with a score of 0 – 50, the percentage of Thematic, Mathematics and B. Sundanese scores obtained a percentage of 42%.

Abstract

Forming social attitudes is one way to create a nation that has character. Problems that often arise in schools lately include the behavior of students who lack discipline, for example dressing not according to the rules, coming late to school, and being late for class. Then there is another problem of students who lack responsibility in carrying out assignments. This research aims to describe the magnitude of the influence of social studies learning on the social attitudes of students at SMPN 1 Tarogong Kidul. This research uses a quantitative, descriptive type approach in class VIII. The research population was 334 students who were then used as a sample of 34 respondents. The research results show that the relationship between social studies learning and social preparedness is in the sufficient category, namely 0.569, with an effect size of 32.4%. Research shows a positive and significant influence so that social studies learning must be more optimal so that students' social attitudes can be formed.

Abstract

Pembelajaran abad 21 menimbulkan paradigma pendidikan yang di tandai dengan perbedaan orientasi belajar, dimana harus ada suatu interaksi edukatif antara guru dan peserta didik untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Dalam penelitian ini tujuan pokok yang penulis kaji merupakan partisipasi belajar peserta didik dan pembelajaran PPKn berbasis daring serta efektivitas pembelajaran PPKn berbasis daring terhadap partisipasi belajar peserta didik di SMAN 11 Garut. Dengan adanya permasalahan partisipasi belajar peserta didik dalam Pembelajaran PPKn serta proses pembelajaran yang tidak memungkinkan dilaksanakan di sekolah karena adanya pembatasan fisik (physical distancing), maka metode pembelajaran PPKn berbasis daring sesuai batasan dan kemampuan guru dan peserta didik dengan menggunakan media komunikasi yang ada seperti menggunakan WhatsApp, Google Classroom, Zoom Meeting dan sebagainya yang tepat untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif pada kelas X, dan dianalisis berdasarkan statistik. Hasil analisis data uji menggunakan uji t dengan (Ha) penelitian di terima, artinya terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran PPKn berbasis daring terhadap partisipasi belajar peserta didik. Uji koefisien korelasi memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan (r) = 0,639 artinya tingkat hubungan kedua variabel “Kuat”. Koefisien determinasi (d) = 40,8% dapat dikatakan bahwa pembelajaran PPKn berbasis daring ini memiliki pengaruh terhadap partisipasi belajar peserta didik sebesar 40,8% sisanya 59,2% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Hasil penelitian tersebut memberikan kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran PPKn dengan metode pembelajaran berbasis daring efektif terhadap partisipasi belajar peserta didik di SMAN 11 Garut.
