Abstract

Rice plants with the Latin name Oryza Sativa are food plants that are widely used as the main food crop in various countries, one of which is Indonesia. Indonesia is ranked 4th as the largest rice consuming country in the world. This requires the availability of rice to be maintained. Unstable rice production can be a problem. One of the districts that has experienced a decline in rice production in recent years is the district of Lima puluh kota located in West Sumatra province. This requires prediction of rice production so that it can be used as a benchmark for the future. This study uses data on rice production in fifty cities from 2013 to 2023. The method used to predict is k-nearest neighbor regression (KNN Regression). The data division uses rasio 90 : 10. In testing the data used is divided into 2, namely normal data and data that has been normalized. The test results produce the smallest mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) value of 6.98% on normal data, the value of k is 6 with data division using k-fold 5. Based on the resulting MAPE value, it can be said that KNN Regression can predict rice production results very accurately.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the instrument validity of product quality and price on purchasing decisions for bottled drinking water (AMDK) brand Aqua. The price and quality of Aqua drinking water have a close relationship. Consumers need to consider various factors, such as water quality, packaging, service, personal needs, and available promos, before buying Aqua. So this makes researchers interested in doing this research. The method in this study uses quantitative scientific methods by applying ex post facto, which has independent variables (variables that influence) and dependent variables (variables that are influenced), with the population in this study being 74 students in Surabaya. Data collection in the study used a questionnaire which was then tested for validity using SPSS. The results in this study use a validity test at a significant level of 5%, resulting in 9 valid statement items and 1 statement said to be invalid for the product quality variable (X1) and price (X2) because r-count> must be greater than < r-table and there are 4 valid statement items and 1 invalid statement item for the Aqua bottled water purchase decision variable (Y) because r-count> must be greater than < r-table.

Abstract

Orthodontic treatment is one type of treatment performed in the field of dentistry aimed at regulating the arrangement of the teeth. Relapse is the movement of teeth back to their original position after orthodontic treatment. Relapse in orthodontic treatment is a complex problem with many factors potentially affecting the treatment outcome. The detailed causes of relapse are not yet known, but there are several factors that can affect the periodontal ligament, alveolar bone, facial structure growth, soft tissue pressure and interdigitates. In addition to previously mentioned factors, tongue thrust, mouth breathing, nail biting, and bad lip habits could lead to relapse of orthodontics treatment. However, relapse can be prevented by good retention of the teeth to stabilize the correction. Objective: To explain the causes of relapse in orthodontic treatment. Methods: Databases, such as PubMed and Google Scholar, were used as primary source of information. Included literatures were ranged from 2012 to 2024, written in English or Bahasa, and has publicly available full article version. Results: A total of 22 references were found and relevant to the topic of causes of relapse in orthodontic treatment. Conclusion: In conclusion, relapse of orthodontic treatment was caused by various factors including periodontal ligament, alveolar bone, facial structure growth, soft tissue pressure and interdigitation. In addition, tongue thrust, mouth breathing, nail biting and lip habits were also considered as compounding factors of orthodontic treatment relapse.
