Abstract

This research aims to explore the concept of intellectual education in the book "Tarbiyatul Aulad" by Abdullah Nashih Ulwan and analyze its relevance to modern education. Abdullah Nashih Ulwan emphasized the importance of intellectual education, which focuses on mastering knowledge and developing critical thinking skills, analytical skills, and the cultivation of ethical and moral values based on Islamic teachings. The educational methods recommended by Ulwan, such as dialogue and discussion, reading habits, active learning, and judicious use of technology, show suitability for modern educational needs that demand a balance between intellectual and moral aspects. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach to identify the principles and methods of intellectual education in the book of Ulwan and compares them with the approach in modern education. Data was obtained through a literature review and analysis of the text of the book "Tarbiyatul Aulad". The results of the study show that the concept of intellectual education proposed by Ulwan can be adapted to the modern education system to create a holistic and balanced education. The implementation of these concepts in modern education can face challenges such as resistance to change and limited resources, but the opportunities to improve the quality of education and character development of children are enormous. In conclusion, the education of reason in the book "Tarbiyatul Aulad" significantly contributes to the development of modern education that is more comprehensive, integrative, and based on Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principle of learning evaluation from the perspective of the tarbawi hadith, focusing on two hadiths narrated by Tirmidhi (Number 278) and Bukhori (Number 401). This study uses a descriptive-analytical qualitative method with a hermeneutic approach to explore the educational values contained in these hadiths. Through in-depth analysis, the study found that the evaluation principles contained in the hadith, such as direct observation, formative feedback, repetition for improvement, and individualized approaches, are highly relevant to contemporary learning practices. The study results show that the tarbawi values contained in these hadiths can be implemented in modern education, especially in building a personalized learning approach based on spiritual, moral, and academic values. This study also concludes that the hadith evaluation principle focuses on cognitive aspects and students' affective and psychomotor aspects, which are relevant for shaping holistic character and competence. Thus, this research is expected to contribute to the development of Islamic education theory and increase the effectiveness of learning evaluation in modern education.

Abstract

As Islam's highest ethical value, Ihsan encompasses both spiritual and moral dimensions, involving perfection of action accompanied by sincere intentions and awareness of Allah's presence. Ihsan reflects values such as sincerity, justice, kindness, perfection, and responsibility, all of which are rooted in the belief that Allah is the supreme overseer of every human deed. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method to explore the concept of ihsan from the axiographic perspective of Islamic philosophy. The analysis was carried out on hadith, classical literature on Islamic ethics, and contemporary works related to axiological philosophy. This research aims to identify moral and spiritual values in the concept of ihsan and its application in the daily life of Muslims. The results show that Ihsan plays an important role in various aspects of life such as business ethics, education, family relationships, and social interaction, and is relevant in modern contexts, especially in the era of globalization and technological development. Ihsan serves as a moral and spiritual foundation that helps Muslims maintain integrity amid social change, guiding them to live a meaningful life according to religious teachings

Abstract

This study discusses the dynamics of the role of career women in an Islamic perspective, specifically how Muslim women balance career demands and religious guidance. In recent decades, the role of women in the workforce has undergone significant changes, with more and more women participating in the public sector. Nonetheless, the challenge of fulfilling domestic responsibilities as wives and mothers by Islamic teachings remains a major concern. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method to analyze religious texts and relevant contemporary literature. The results show that Islam recognizes women's right to work and have a career, but emphasizes the importance of balancing domestic and public roles. Scholars' views on career women vary, from conservative to progressive, but they all agree that women's work should be in line with Sharia principles. Support from the family, especially the husband, is crucial in helping women carry out this dual role. This research provides practical guidance for Muslim women in navigating career challenges in the modern era, as well as contributing to the existing literature by offering a new perspective on how Islam can be a relevant guide in the lives of career women.

Abstract

Pembiasaan sholat dhuha berjamaah sebagai bentuk latihan religius dapat menjadi instrumen yang efektif dalam membentuk kedisiplinan ibadah siswa. Dengan kedisiplinan ibadah yang baik, diharapkan siswa dapat menginternalisasikan nilai – nilai keagamaan dan mempraktekkan ajaran agama Islam dalam kehidupan sehari – hari, baik di sekolah maupun di rumah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembiasaan sholat dhuha terhadap kedisiplinan ibadah siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan instrumen angket atau kuisioner. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling yaitu pengambilan anggota sampel dari populasi yang dilakukan secara acak tanpa memperhatikan strata yang ada dalam populasi dan dianggap homogen. Sampel diambil dari populasi yaitu siswa SMP KP Baros, dan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 31 responden. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan pembiasaan sholat dhuha terhadap kedisiplinan ibadah siswa. Dengan nilai signifikasi 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai R Square sebesar 0,366 yang menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 36,6% kedisiplinan ibadah siswa (Y) dipengaruhi oleh pembiasaan sholat dhuha (X), maka ho ditolak dan ha diterima.

Abstract

Studi ini mengeksplorasi relevansi nilai-nilai akhlak dari kitab Akhlak Lil Banin dalam konteks pendidikan modern melalui pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dan metode kajian pustaka. Kitab ini menawarkan panduan komprehensif mengenai nilai-nilai akhlak, termasuk adab terhadap orang tua, guru, sesama, serta etika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menganalisis relevansi dan penerapan nilai-nilai tersebut dalam kurikulum pendidikan modern, kegiatan sosial, dan penggunaan teknologi pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pengintegrasian nilai-nilai akhlak ini melalui pembelajaran formal, program ekstrakurikuler, serta teknologi edukatif dapat memperkuat karakter siswa dan meningkatkan perilaku etis mereka dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Selain itu, kegiatan keagamaan dan peran guru sebagai teladan penting dalam membentuk lingkungan belajar yang mendukung perkembangan akhlak yang baik. Relevansi nilai-nilai ini dalam pendidikan modern tidak hanya menghasilkan siswa yang cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga berakhlak mulia, siap berkontribusi positif di masyarakat. Studi ini menegaskan pentingnya pengajaran nilai-nilai akhlak dalam membentuk generasi yang bermoral dan bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

This study explores Surah Al-Baqarah verse 186 through the lens of Islamic philosophy, emphasizing its ontological, epistemological, and ethical dimensions. Ontologically, the verse affirms that Allah SWT is Wājib al-Wujūd (Necessary Being), whose presence transcends space and time yet remains spiritually close to humankind. Epistemologically, it outlines that human knowledge of God arises through divine revelation and spiritual experience, especially through sincere supplication. Ethically, the verse implies that divine nearness fosters obedience, moral responsibility, and spiritual consciousness. Using a qualitative method with a thematic-interpretative approach, this paper draws from classical and modern Islamic philosophical thought. The study concludes that divine nearness (qurb Ilāhī) is not merely theological but forms a metaphysical foundation for human morality and consciousness, offering a comprehensive framework for Islamic philosophical discourse.

Abstract

In carrying out their duties as educators in schools, teachers bear a large burden. An experienced teacher is expected to be able to carry out his responsibilities in the learning process with enthusiasm and fun. Reality shows that the learning process in schools is often considered boring and ineffective, so educational goals are not achieved. This research aims to examine the meaning and essence that emerge from the QS. Al-’Ashr verses 1–3 by considering the opinions of commentators regarding the value or education-related content of the QS. Al-’Ashr verses 1-3, regarding the importance of time, faith, good deeds, and behaving in truth and patience in the formation of teacher competence. This research uses a library research style, and Tahlili interpretation is used in this research. The results show that teacher competence from the Surat Al-Ashr perspective involves managing time wisely, understanding students' potential and needs, instilling the value of faith, supporting holistic growth, providing positive advice, and maintaining patience in educating.

Abstract

The book Ta'lim Muta'allim by Imam Az Zarnuji, a respected Islamic scholar, introduces an in-depth view of the relationship between teachers and students and the responsibilities of each party in the educational process. Teachers are people who are responsible for teaching Islamic knowledge and values and they have the right to be respected and appreciated by their students. Students must listen attentively, respect and obey teachers, behave politely inside and outside the study room, and respect their study environment. The literature review method was used to investigate relevant primary sources, including the works of Imam Az Zarnuji and the interpretations of other Islamic scholars. This research explores concepts such as adab (ethics) in learning, students' rights to get a decent education, and teachers' responsibilities in guiding and setting an example. An in-depth analysis of Imam Az Zarnuji's works shows their relevance in the context of modern education. It provides a deeper understanding of the principles of Islamic education that he fought for. This research has the potential to make an important contribution to our understanding of education in the Islamic tradition and its implications in today's context.

Abstract

The quality assurance of early childhood education in Islamic institutions such as Raudhatul Athfal (RA) has received limited empirical attention, particularly regarding the extent to which they fulfill the National Standards for Early Childhood Education. This study seeks to fill this gap by evaluating the learning quality of RA institutions in Baleendah District. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected from 50 RA educators through a validated and reliable Likert-scale questionnaire measuring eight dimensions of the national standards. Descriptive statistical analysis was employed to calculate the percentage of achievement for each dimension. The findings indicate that overall learning quality in RA has met national standards, with notable strengths in exploration-based learning, collaborative pedagogy, and parental involvement. However, challenges remain in cognitive stimulation, the pedagogical competence of educators, and the adequacy of exploratory and extracurricular facilities. Limited funding emerged as a key barrier, constraining infrastructure development and teacher professional growth. Beyond its national relevance, this study contributes to the broader global scholarship on early childhood education by demonstrating how faith-based institutions operationalize educational quality within diverse cultural and moral frameworks. The findings enrich international understanding of how holistic and value-oriented learning can coexist with standardized educational benchmarks. This study introduces a perspective of contextualized quality, emphasizing that true educational excellence is achieved when pedagogical competence, moral education, and local wisdom are integrated into a coherent framework. Practically, it provides policy insights for strengthening teacher capacity, improving learning environments, and promoting collaborative engagement among stakeholders. Future studies are encouraged to adopt mixed-method and comparative approaches to deepen cross-cultural insights into the dynamics of early childhood education quality in Islamic contexts.
