Abstract

Batu Putik Village has carried out potential disaster mapping, and has determined the potential for disaster based on community perception, namely flood disasters that occur during the rainy season with the trigger being incomplete waste processing. There is no certainty about the waste residue that will be sent to the Ijo Balit Final Processing Site (TPA) owned by the East Lombok district government, creating obstacles for planning modes and mobilization. For this reason, it is deemed necessary to have a community assistance activity based on Participatory Action Research (PAR) which is able to design a pattern for transporting waste residues to the landfill with community involvement to maintain the continuity of the program in the future even if assistance is not provided. This activity shows that the residual waste after sorting is 1,030 tons/day so the optimal mode for transporting it is a dump truck with a capacity of 3m3 or a pick-up with a capacity of 2m3. The travel time required is around 1 hour for a travel distance of 42.29 km. It is highly recommended in further research to calculate the operational costs of Integrated Temporary Processing Sites (TPST) in villages, where waste sorting is carried out as a trigger for program sustainability, especially for TPST independence.

Abstract

The development of a region's potential should be guided by mapping the region's potential, so that regional development becomes focused and sustainable. The three components that are considered are environemntal conditions, social conditions of society and economic conditions. Based on this, Tempos village, which is located in West Lombok, has the potential for development towards agrotourism, because the physical condition of the road is formed following the contour of the hilly area, the dominant area functions as agricultural land, the majority of the population is of working age with gender conditions close to equal but the level of education is still low. need training in the future. The community service method used is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, where the community is involved from data collection to the formulation of results so that the continuity of the program without assistance will still run well.

Abstract

The use of plastic bags is a common problem as a form of practical packaging activities, especially during commercial or trading activities. These single-use plastic bags are a waste-forming material that is difficult to decompose and has a significantly increasing volume and is global. Plastic bag waste is not only a problem for land pollution, but also for water bodies, so in addition to setting high prices for plastic bags, the use of cloth tote bags is a suitable alternative. Unfortunately, the use of chemical dyes to enhance the aesthetic value of cloth tote bags has caused problems with water bodies pollution. One solution offered is to use eco-print techniques from natural materials as motifs to beautify the appearance of tote bags. To this end, an activity "Socialization of Eco-Printed Cloth Bags as an Alternative to Plastic Bags" was held at Tempos 3 Public Elementary School, West Lombok. This socialization method was lectures, discussions, and practicals. The results of this activity increased individual knowledge of participants about types of waste, the impact of plastic bags, and the impact of chemical dyes on the environment. Another impact was an increase in students' ability to work in structured groups, as evidenced by the ability of participants to collaboratively produce products. In general, this socialization has achieved the activity's objectives, it is highly recommended to make this activity an extracurricular activity in the future.
