Abstract

This study aims to understand the function, purpose, and urgency of the importance of management in organizational education. This research uses qualitative research. This research method uses the library research method of collecting data by searching for sources and reconstructing from various sources such as books, journals, and existing research and taking opinions, explanations from previous studies. In achieving goals, an organization needs to have good management. Vice versa, to have the best management, the organization must have people who are skilled, creative, and able to work in teams to realize organizational goals. Therefore, good cooperation between the organization and management is necessary. By utilizing resources and time appropriately according to the established activity process, goals can be achieved more efficiently, effectively, and optimally. If both are carried out in accordance with their duties, the reciprocal relationship will be mutually beneficial for both. The importance of education management today should be a priority to ensure the continuity of education that produces the desired graduates. Currently, many educational institutions do not have effective management in managing their education. The management used is still conventional, so it is not fully able to overcome the challenges of the times and looks behind in terms of modernity. So, in the process of its development, Education Management requires what is called Good Management Practice to manage it.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the population dynamics of rice plant pests through periodic monitoring during 8 weeks of observation. The research was conducted on 5 rice field plots using direct sampling method and yellow trap. The observation data included 23 pest species from various families such as Acrididae, Muscidae, Culicidae, Lycosidae, Pieridae, Chrysomelidae, and others. Observations showed that pest populations fluctuated during the observation period, with some species showing a downward trend such as mosquitoes (Culicidae) from an average of 19.6 individuals/map in the first observation to 14.2 individuals/map in the last observation, while some other pests such as snail carp (Pomacea canaliculata) showed significant variation. Pests that were consistently found in high numbers were mosquitoes, mealybugs (Pieris rapae), and gold snails. This periodic monitoring provides important information for integrated pest control strategies in sustainable rice cultivation.

Abstract

Background (General): Verbal abuse is a form of non-physical violence characterized by harsh, degrading, or mocking words that harm others emotionally, and it frequently occurs within school settings. Background (Specific): Addressing verbal abuse in students is crucial as it disrupts learning environments and affects peer relationships. Knowledge Gap: While Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques have been applied in various behavioral issues, limited empirical evidence exists regarding their application in reducing students’ verbal abuse. Aim: This study investigates the use of individual counseling with the Thought Stopping technique to reduce verbal abuse among students. Results: Employing a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design with purposive sampling, data were collected using a validated Likert-scale verbal aggression questionnaire and analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed ranks test in SPSS. Findings revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p = 0.042, p < 0.05), indicating a measurable reduction in verbal abuse behavior after counseling. Novelty: This study demonstrates the application of a structured CBT-based intervention specifically tailored to address verbal aggression in school settings. Implications: The results highlight the potential of Thought Stopping in individual counseling as a practical strategy for educators and counselors to foster healthier communication patterns among students. Highlights: Individual counseling with Thought Stopping reduced students’ verbal abuse behavior. Wilcoxon test analysis showed a significant pretest–posttest difference (p=0.042). The study provides practical contributions for school counselors in behavior intervention. Keywords: Individual Counseling, Thought Stopping, Verbal Abuse, CBT, Students
