Abstract

The Lancet Breastfeeding Series (2018) says directly that breast milk can prevent IMR because the effect of contamination is around 88%. the variable that drives the increase in the amount of breast milk is the influence of the mother and baby, in the influence of the mother, the thing that is very encouraging is the factor of the mother's vitalization and psychological well-being. The use of effects that do not use drugs to increase breast milk volume is the endorphin massage technique. Endorphins make the body feel fit and relaxed so as to minimize the stress felt on the mother. Stimulation of the back of the body by massaging is given to automatically bring up the effects of oxytocin. Endorphin massage has an important role in evidence in increasing the amount of breast milk in postpartum mothers. This study aims to see if there is an effect of endorphin massage on the increase in breast milk volume. The method used is a qualitative approach (library research) with a literature study research procedure or literature and quantitative with a simple quick survey method which is carried out in a random manner. The results showed that breast milk production carried out by endorphin massage had a more significant effect than no massage, so it can be determined that there is control of endorphin massage on the increase in the amount of breast milk in postpartum mothers. a convenient and efficient non-pharmacological option in dealing with breast milk production in postpartum mothers

Abstract

Midwifery care is a complete series of care by midwives covering the entire maternity period, from antenatal to intranatal to neonatal and postnatal including family planning contraceptive counseling. The administration of lactagogue, a substance known to help increase breast milk secretion and production, which is naturally found in papaya, is a widely adopted strategy to overcome the problem of low, or even worse, lack of breast milk production (BMP) in breastfeeding mothers. This study aims to provide comprehensive information on, from antenatal to intranatal to neonatal and postnatal by including family planning. The methods used are interviews, observations and implementation. The subject was Mrs. S who was given boiled young papaya to increase BMP during postpartum care at Hj. Hospital. Bunda Halimah Batam in 2024. The results of the examination given to Mrs. S did not show any significant problems during the antenatal and intranatal periods (which were spontaneous vaginal delivery (SVD)), the weight of the newborn was within the normal range, postpartum care to increase BMP was also reported to be no problem, and the subject decided to become a contraceptive acceptor. In conclusion, which can be done independently, during antenatal, intranatal, neonatal, postnatal, and family planning counseling, no significant problems were found. As a suggestion, midwives are encouraged to implement standardized ones starting from antenatal care to contraceptive follow-up that can help monitor and anticipate possible problems or complications early on

Abstract

Problems such as not producing breast milk smoothly, especially for mothers who have given birth for the first time, are very normal, and often they do not carry out IMD (Early Initiation of Breastfeeding) shortly after birth because awareness has not yet recovered, so it can be a factor in hampering the release of breast milk. To overcome this problem, you can consume papaya leaves which contain the enzymes papain and potassium, which are useful for breaking down the protein you eat, while potassium is useful for meeting potassium needs during breastfeeding. The aim is to determine the educational effect of giving stir-fried papaya leaves on postpartum mothers' knowledge about smooth breast milk production. Quantitative research method, posttest only control group design approach, January-August 2024. Place in Tanjung Balai Karimun. The study population was all postpartum mothers who were breastfeeding. The sampling technique in this research was Accidental Sampling with a total of 34 respondents. Analysis used the T Test. The average knowledge of post-partum mothers about giving stir-fried papaya leaves to facilitate breast milk production in the pretest was 14.26, posttest was 17.50, the statistical test obtained a p value = 0.001 (α < 0.05). Conclusion: There is an educational effect of giving stir-fried papaya leaves on the knowledge of postpartum mothers regarding the smooth production of breast milk Keywords : Education, Aloe Vera Compress, Postpartum, Breast Milk Dam

It is known that the Sig. (2-tailed) between Knowledge (X) and JKN Ownership (Y) is 0.098>0.05. The conclusion is that there is no significant correlation between the knowledge variable and the JKN ownership variable.

Abstract

Abstract

Carrying out umbilical cord care is very important to prevent infection. The aim of umbilical cord care is to prevent tetanus in newborn babies, so that the umbilical cord remains clean, germs do not enter so that infection does not occur in the baby's umbilical cord. Tetanus is caused by clostridium tetani, which is a germ that releases toxins (poison), which enters through the umbilical cord wound, due to unclean care or procedures. Providing midwifery care in the form of education to mothers about how to properly care for the umbilical cord to prevent infection in newborns in accordance with service standards for independent practicing midwives. The method used in this research method was written based on a case study report of midwifery care for newborns using a descriptive observational method with a midwifery care approach. Umbilical cord wound care is intended as an act of caring for and cleaning the umbilical cord, as well as to prevent infection in the baby's umbilical cord and speed up healing of wounds left by cutting the umbilical cord. Improper care for umbilical cord wounds in babies will result in infections that can result in death. This disease is caused by the entry of tetanus germ spores into the body through the umbilical cord, either from unsterile instruments, use of drugs, powders or leaves sprinkled on the umbilical cord which can cause infection.
