Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of the Indonesian language in shaping digital character in the Society 5.0 era. Through a qualitative approach, this study analyzes various approaches in scientific research related to digital character governance. The results show that character education in the digital era faces challenges and opportunities. Digital literacy, technology-based learning, and social media usage have significant impacts on shaping students' characters. The Indonesian language curriculum needs to be updated to include aspects of digital literacy and the ethics of technology usage. Strengthening collaboration between schools, families, and communities is also necessary to build positive digital characters. Recommendations for the development of digital character through the Indonesian language include enhancing the digital literacy of teachers and students, curriculum adjustments, promoting positive social media usage, and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders. Further research can explore innovative teaching methods in technology-based Indonesian language learning and the long-term impacts of digital literacy integration in Indonesian language education on student character development.Keywords: Digital Character, Governance, Indonesian Language, Society 5.0

Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has significantly transformed the education sector, particularly in enhancing the quality of learning at the senior high school level. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of AI-based learning media in improving students' conceptual understanding, learning motivation, and classroom engagement. A quantitative research approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed, dividing students into an experimental group using AI-based media and a control group employing conventional learning methods. Data were collected through concept comprehension tests, learning motivation questionnaires, and classroom engagement observations. The findings indicate that students utilizing AI-based learning media exhibited a significant improvement in conceptual understanding compared to the control group. Additionally, AI enhanced learning motivation by offering a more interactive and personalized learning experience. In terms of engagement, students in the experimental group participated more actively and explored learning materials more deeply than those using traditional methods. However, the implementation of AI technology in education still faces several challenges, such as school infrastructure readiness, teachers' digital literacy, and accessibility limitations in certain regions. This study recommends the development of educational policies that support the gradual integration of AI into the school curriculum, accompanied by teacher training programs and infrastructure improvements. Abstrak Kemajuan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di tingkat sekolah menengah atas (SMA) dan sederajat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas media pembelajaran berbasis AI dalam meningkatkan pemahaman materi, motivasi belajar, serta keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment), di mana siswa dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan media berbasis AI dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pemahaman materi, kuesioner motivasi belajar, serta observasi keterlibatan siswa di kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang belajar menggunakan media berbasis AI mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman konsep dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Selain itu, AI mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar dengan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif dan personal. Dari segi keterlibatan, siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen lebih aktif dalam berpartisipasi dan mengeksplorasi materi dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Meskipun demikian, implementasi teknologi AI dalam pembelajaran masih menghadapi tantangan, seperti kesiapan infrastruktur sekolah, literasi digital guru, serta keterbatasan akses di daerah tertentu. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan adanya kebijakan pendidikan yang mendukung integrasi AI dalam kurikulum sekolah secara bertahap, disertai dengan pelatihan bagi tenaga pengajar dan peningkatan fasilitas infrastruktur pendidikan. Abstract

This research aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness of two prominent educational taxonomies Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy and Simpson/Harrow’s Taxonomy—in fostering higher-order thinking skills and employability competencies among secondary school students, particularly at the high school (SMA) and vocational school (SMK) levels. In response to the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the evolving labor market, which increasingly values adaptable, creative, and skillful individuals, this study addresses the urgent need for pedagogical frameworks that simultaneously promote complex cognitive processes and practical psychomotor abilities. Using a descriptive-qualitative methodology with a comparative analytical approach, the study draws upon primary and secondary literature encompassing theoretical and empirical studies of both taxonomies. Findings indicate that the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy emphasizes cognitive dimensions, including remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating. Conversely, Simpson/Harrow’s Taxonomy centers on psychomotor development ranging from perception and readiness to guided response, mechanism, complex overt response, adaptation, and origination. These complementary emphases provide a compelling rationale for integrating the two frameworks into a unified pedagogical model. The integration of these taxonomies offers a robust structural foundation for instructional planning, teaching strategy implementation, and comprehensive learning assessment. Practically, this integrated approach fosters a learning experience that not only cultivates critical and creative thinking but also equips students with hands-on skills essential in real-world job contexts. This study recommends the formulation of curriculum policies that incorporate both cognitive and psychomotor dimensions across all educational levels. Furthermore, it encourages the development of interactive learning modules based on an Integrated Taxonomy approach as a pathway for future research and instructional innovation. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam efektivitas dua taksonomi pendidikan Taksonomi Bloom Revisi dan Taksonomi Simpson/Harrow—dalam membangun kompetensi berpikir tingkat tinggi dan keterampilan kerja peserta didik pada jenjang pendidikan menengah, khususnya di SMA dan SMK. Didorong oleh tuntutan Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan kebutuhan dunia kerja akan tenaga kerja yang adaptif, kreatif, dan terampil, riset ini merespons urgensi desain pembelajaran yang mampu mengembangkan kecakapan berpikir kompleks sekaligus keterampilan motorik halus dan kasar secara simultan. Metodologi penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis komparatif. Data diperoleh melalui studi pustaka terhadap literatur utama dan sekunder yang memuat kajian teoritik dan empiris tentang dua taksonomi tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Taksonomi Bloom Revisi menitikberatkan pada dimensi kognitif yang meliputi kemampuan mengingat, memahami, menerapkan, menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta. Sementara itu, Taksonomi Simpson/Harrow berfokus pada perkembangan keterampilan psikomotorik mulai dari persepsi, kesiapan, respon terbimbing, mekanisme, respons kompleks, adaptasi, hingga orisinalitas. Perbedaan pendekatan ini membuka peluang untuk integrasi pedagogis yang lebih luas dalam rangka menciptakan model pembelajaran yang holistik dan kontekstual. Integrasi kedua taksonomi menawarkan kerangka kerja yang solid dalam perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan strategi pengajaran, serta evaluasi capaian belajar yang lebih utuh. Implikasi praktis dari integrasi ini adalah terbentuknya pengalaman belajar yang tidak hanya mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif, tetapi juga membekali peserta didik dengan keterampilan kerja nyata yang dibutuhkan di lapangan. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini mencakup pentingnya pengembangan kebijakan kurikulum yang menggabungkan dimensi kognitif dan psikomotorik dalam setiap jenjang pendidikan, serta pengembangan modul pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Taksonomi Terintegrasi sebagai langkah lanjutan riset.
