Abstract

The amount of interesting information on TikTok that TikTok users see will make users interested and often there is a sudden and unconscious desire to buy a product without any prior planning or it is called impulsive buying. This is because many and often individuals access TikTok for a long time or because they are in a negative mood if they do not access TikTok. This research aims to determine the problematic social media use on impulsive buying among early adult TikTok users in the city of Padang. This research design uses quantitative sampling techniques used namely purposive sampling. The sample in this study was 200 respondents whose characteristics were determined by the researcher to be used as samples. The results of the data were processed and analyzed using simple linaer regression analysis techniques, obtaining values of r = 0,535 and p = 0,000. The final results of the research show that there is a positive influence of the independent variable (problematic social media use) on the dependent variable (impulsive buying). These results show that the higher the problematic social media use in early adults using TikTok the higher impulsive buying.

Abstract

In recent years, people's interest in the Korean wave phenomenon has increased. This can be seen from the large number of people, especially young people, who are fans of this Kpop idol. The majority of Kpop fans are dominated by women. Most of these female Kpop fans are also fujohi. Fujoshi is a term for women who like relationships with men. From this phenomenon, fans claim that viewing fujoshi-related content can increase their sexual desire. Therefore, the aim of this research is to see a picture of the differences in Sexual Desire or sexual desire in female fujoshi kpop fans when viewed in terms of age, namely teenagers and adults. This research is quantitative research with a descriptive method carried out on 92 respondents. Data analysis in this study used the homogeneity test and the Mann Whitney U-test. The results obtained are that the significance value in the homogeneity test shows the number 0.078, which means the data in this study is homogeneous. In the Mann Whitney U-test, the significance value was 0.000 with a mean rank for adolescents of 28.02 and for adults of 64.98. This means that there are differences in the variables in the research data.

Abstract

The development of social frameworks related to romantic love myths raises concerns about the acceptance of violence in relationships. This study aims to examine the influence of romantic love myths on cyber dating violence among early adults in relationships. A quantitative method was employed with a sample of 600 early adult participants, selected through purposive sampling based on the criteria of being 18–25 years old and having been or currently being in a relationship. The study used the Spearman’s rho rank test, which found that romantic love myths affect cyber dating violence in the control/monitoring dimension, with an R Square of 0.065 (6.5%) and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These results quantitatively indicate that romantic love myths can increase cyber dating violence related to control/monitoring behaviors in early adults who are in relationships

Abstract

Gacha is a game system for getting characters or items in video games using virtual currency. However, on average, existing gacha games have a limited gacha schedule, meaning that players have a limited time to get them. This can influence the emergence of fear of missing out and internet gaming disorder in gacha game players. This research aims to see the correlation between fear of missing out and internet gaming disorder in gacha game players. The research sample consisted of 101 individuals selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted using the fear of missing out and internet gaming disorder scales. Data analysis using the Pearson technique shows that there is a significant and positive relationship between fear of missing out and internet gaming disorder with a correlation coefficient of 0.575

Abstract

Dukungan keluarga merujuk pada sikap, tindakan dan penerimaan terhadap anggota keluarga lain berbentuk bantuan, pertolongan dan dukungan ketika diperlukan. Hal ini berhubungan pada tingkat resiliensi seorang mantan pecandu narkoba. Resiliensi yakni suatu kapasitas atau kemampuan seseorang dalam bertahan dan pulih dari situasi sulit atau terpuruk sehingga dapat kembali menjalani kehidupan secara normal. Penelitian kuantitatif korelasional ini ditujukan guna mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan resiliensi pada mantan pecandu narkoba di Kota Padang. Subjek mantan pecandu narkoba yang dimaksudkan ialah individu yang sudah melakukan penyalahgunaan narkoba, mengalami ketergantungan kemudian sudah dinyatakan pulih dan lepas dari ketergantungan atau kecanduan penggunaan narkoba baik dalam hal psikis dan jasmani. Adapun didapatkan 44 responden mantan pecandu narkoba yang menjadi sampel dan diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling non-probability. Data yang didapatkan kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik Pearson’s Correlation Product Moment dan diperoleh signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05 serta rhitung bernilai positif 0.667 > rtabel 0.297, sehingga terdapat korelasi yang kuat serta positif antara support keluarga dengan kemampuan resiliensi yang dimiliki mantan pecandu narkoba di Kota Padang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwasanya makin besar dukungan keluarga yang diberikan, tingkat resiliensi yang dimiliki mantan pecandu tersebut akan semakin tinggi dan positif juga. Begitupun kebalikannya, makin kecil dukungan keluarga, resiliensi mantan pecandu narkoba di Kota Padang semakin rendah juga.

Abstract

Over the last few years, unemployment in Indonesia has been dominated by the educated workforce. Unemployed people with the highest education completed at a university reached 673,485 people (Central Statistics Agency, 2022). College graduates who have job seeker status experience difficulty in obtaining employment. Therefore, college graduates need to be ready to enter the world of work. Perceived future employability refers to the perception of how employable he will be in the future and ready to enter the job market. The perception of self-readiness is preceded by a person's belief in his or her abilities. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and perceived future employability among job seekers who graduate from universities in Padang City. This research uses the theory of perceived future employability and self-efficacy. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling. This research uses product moment correlation test data analysis techniques. It was found that the value of r = 0.631 with a value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05) means that Ha was accepted, so it is known that there is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and perceived future employability in job seekers who graduated from universities in the city of Padang.

Abstract

Today's adolescents often have difficulty managing their sleep schedules, which can have a negative impact on their physical and mental health. One factor contributing to this behavior is social media addiction, which often leads to delayed bedtimes.This study aims to determine the relationship between stress and bedtime procrastination in adolescents addicted to social media. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method, involving 224 adolescents aged 13-18 years identified as having social media addiction through a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments used were the Bergen Social Media Scale (BSMAS)(a=0,94), the bedtime procrastination scale (BPS) (a=0,83), and the perceived stress scale (PSS) (a=0,96). Data analysis was performed using the non-parametric Spearman rank test due to non-normal distribution of the data using IBM SPSS 31, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.126 and a significance level of p = 0.060. The results of this study found no significant relationship between stress and bedtime procrastination.
