Abstract

The pregnancy period is part of the Window of Opportunity period. Throughout the pregnancy stage, pregnant women need to consume more food than before, the right food pattern, as well as a balanced intake of macronutrients. The nutritional status of pregnant women is determined by the consumption patterns of pregnant women before and during pregnancy. The percentage of energy and nutrient consumption of pregnant women in Indonesia in 2018 based on Nutrition (PSG), namely, energy consumption was only 73.6%, protein was 86.4%, carbohydrates were 76.8% and fat was 70%. Based on provinces in Indonesia, energy consumption among pregnant women is lowest, namely in the provinces of Maluku (48.5%), Lampung (58.6%), Papua (61%) and Aceh (64.1%). Consumption patterns can be influenced by several factors, including knowledge, attitudes and behavior of pregnant women. One effort to increase knowledge of pregnant women is education using poster media which can increase a person's knowledge. The aim of this research is to measure the effect of counseling about consumption patterns using poster media on the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of pregnant women in the South Kluet Health Center Work Area. This research is quantitative research with pre-experimental methods. The research design used was one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted in the South Kluet Health Center Working Area in 2024. The population in this study was all pregnant women in the South Kluet Health Center Working Area with a total of 42 people. The sampling technique in this research was Total Sampling, namely 42 people. From the results of the T test statistical research, there is an effect of counseling using poster media on knowledge, attitudes and behavior with p value results, knowledge has a sig-α of 0.000, attitude has a sig-α of 0.000 and attitude has a sig-α of 0.000, which means that there is a difference between knowledge, attitudes and behavior before and after being given counseling using poster media. The suggestion in this research is that it is hoped that it can be used as evaluation material in an effort to increase mothers' knowledge about healthy food consumption patterns and according to the needs of pregnant women so that their babies grow and develop healthily and the mother's nutrition is maintained at the South Kluet Health Center in the future

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is one of the preventive efforts in maintaining individual health, with washing hands with soap (CTPS) as one of its main aspects. Elementary school children are among the groups that are vulnerable to disease due to lack of awareness of cleanliness, so socialization is needed to increase their understanding of the importance of CTPS. This study aims to socialize PHBS and how to do CTPS to students of SD 7 Nisam, North Aceh, through interactive educational methods. The activities were carried out by presenting material using PowerPoint, interactive discussions, direct practice of the six steps of CTPS according to WHO standards, and evaluation through questionnaires before and after the activity. The results of the activity showed that the method applied succeeded in increasing students' understanding of the importance of washing hands with soap. Students were more enthusiastic in participating in activities when given an interesting approach that was appropriate for their age. In addition, the involvement of teachers and schools in providing supporting facilities contributed to the success of this program. With this socialization, it is hoped that students can apply the habit of washing their hands independently and consistently, both at school and at home, so that it can reduce the incidence of infectious diseases related to hand hygiene.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the major public health problems that remains highly prevalent in Indonesia, particularly in Aceh Province. This condition can be prevented early during pregnancy through appropriate education for pregnant women, one of which is by using pocket books as an educational medium. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of using pocket books in improving pregnant women's knowledge regarding stunting prevention in Blang Krueng Village, Baitussalam District. The research question in this study is: How effective is the use of pocket books in increasing pregnant women's knowledge about stunting prevention in Blang Krueng Village. This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The population in this study consisted of all pregnant women in Blang Krueng Village, Baitussalam District, totaling 20 individuals. The sampling technique used was total sampling, where the entire population served as the sample. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire administered before and after the intervention. Data analysis was performed using the paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge after the use of the pocket book, with a mean pretest score of 10.15 and a mean posttest score of 17.70, indicating that all respondents experienced an improvement from moderate and low knowledge categories to good. The conclusion of this study is that pocket books are effective educational media for improving pregnant women's knowledge of stunting prevention. The researcher suggests that pocket books be widely implemented in educational programs at community health centers (posyandu) or other health services as part of preventive interventions against stunting, and should be tailored to local characteristics to enhance understanding.
