<![CDATA[ملخص: تناقس الباحثة "تأثير استخدام نموذج Think Pair Share على مهارة القراءة لدى طلبة الفصل الثامن في المدرسة الثانوية الحكومية 1 بادنج". وأما المشكلة في هذا البحث فهي: 1) كيف قدرة طلبة الفصل الثامن على مهارة القراءة قبل استخدام نموذج Think Pair Share في المدرسة الثانوية الحكومية 1 بادنج ؟. 2) كيف استخدام نموذج Think Pair Share على مهارة القراءة لدى طلبة الفصل الثامن في المدرسة الثانوية الحكومية 1 بادنج ؟. 3) كيف تأثير استخدام نموذج Think Pair Share على مهارة القراءة لدى طلبة الفصل الثامن في المدرسة الثانوية الحكومية 1 بادنج ؟. وأما منهج البحث في هذه الرسالة فهو البحث الكمي الميداني بطريقة التجريي وتصميم التجريبي هو Quasi Experimental بطريقة Nonequivalent Control Group Design. وطريقة جمع البيانات المستخدمة هي الاختبار والوثائق. والعينة بهذا البحث يعني 31 طالبا في الفصل الثامن "4". وأما النتيجة التي حصلت الباحثة من هذا البحث فهي أن قدرة مهارة القراءة لدى طلبة قبل استخدام نموذج Think Pair Share منحفضا، وأكثر الطلبة لم يحصل على قيمة المعيار الحد الأدنى (KKM). واستخدام نموذج Think Pair Share على مهارة القراءة لدى طلبة الفصل الثامن في المدرسة الثانوية الحكومية 1 بادنج فهو يتكون من ثلاث مراحل، المرحلة الأولى الأنشطة التمهيدية، المرحلة الثانية الأنشطة الرئيسية التي تتكون من ثلاث خطوات فهي التفكير (Think)، والمزاوجة (Pair)، والمشاركة (Share)، و المرحلة الثالثة الأنشطة النهائية. وبعد استخدام نموذج Think Pair Share قامت الباحثة الاختبار البعدي في الفصل التجريبي. وأما قيمة المتوسط الاختبار البعدي في الفصل التجريبي يعني 87.29 بالتقدير الجيد. ونتيجة الاختبار الفرضية Paired Sampel Test أن القيمة t 20،518- بقيمة Sig (2-tailed) فهي 0.000 وأدنى من 0.05، يتم Ha مقبولة. ولذلك استنتجت الباحثة توجد تأثير استخدام نموذج Think Pair Share على مهارة القراءة لدى طلبة الفصل الثامن في المدرسة الثانوية الحكومية 1 بادنج. الكلمات المفتاحية: نموذج التعلم، Think Pair Share، مهارة القراءة Abstracts: Researchers discussed "The effect of using the Think Pair Share model on the reading ability of eighth grade students in MTsN 1 Padang". The problems in this study are: 1) How is the reading skill of eighth grade students before using the Think Pair Share model in MTsN 1 Padang?. 2) How to use the Think Pair Share model on the reading skills of eighth graders in MTsN 1 Padang? 3) How does the use of the Think Pair Share model affect the reading ability of eighth grade students in MTsN 1 Padang?. The research method in this thesis is quantitative research with experimental methods and experimental design is Quasi Experimental with nonequivalent Control Group Design methods. The data collection methods used are tests and documentation. The sample in this study was 31 "4" eighth graders. The results obtained by researchers from this study were that the ability of students' reading skills before using the Think Pair Share model was low, and most students scored below KKM. The use of the Think Pair Share model in the reading skills of eighth grade students in MTsN 1 Padang consists of three stages, the first stage is the preliminary activity, the second stage is the core activity consisting of three steps: think, pair, share, and the third stage is the closing activity. After using the Think Pair Share model, researchers conducted a post-test in the experimental class. The average post-test score in the experimental class with an average score of 87.29 with a good predicate. The result of the Paired Sample Test hypothesis that the t value of -20.518 with a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 is lower than 0.05, this indicates that Ha is acceptable. Therefore, researchers concluded that there is an influence of the use of the Think Pair Share model on the reading ability of eighth grade students in MTsN 1 Padang. Keywords: Learning model, Think Pair Share, reading skills Abstrak: Peneliti membahas "Pengaruh penggunaan model Think Pair Share terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa kelas delapan di MTsN 1 Padang". Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana keterampilan membaca siswa kelas delapan sebelum menggunakan model Think Pair Share di MTsN 1 Padang?. 2) Bagaimana menggunakan model Think Pair Share pada keterampilan membaca siswa kelas delapan di MTsN 1 Padang?. 3) Bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan model Think Pair Share terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa kelas delapan di MTsN 1 Padang?. Metode penelitian dalam tesis ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan desain eksperimen adalah Quasi Experimental dengan metode nonequivalent Control Group Design. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan dokumentasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 31 siswa kelas delapan "4". Hasil yang diperoleh peneliti dari penelitian ini adalah kemampuan keterampilan membaca siswa sebelum menggunakan model Think Pair Share rendah, dan sebagian besar siswa mendapatkan nilai dibawah KKM. Penggunaan model Think Pair Share pada keterampilan membaca siswa kelas delapan di MTsN 1 Padang terdiri dari tiga tahap, tahap pertama adalah kegiatan pendahuluan, tahap kedua adalah kegiatan inti yang terdiri dari tiga langkah: berpikir (think), berpasangan (pair), berbagi (Share), dan tahap ketiga adalah kegiatan penutup. Setelah menggunakan model Think Pair Share, peneliti melakukan post-test di kelas eksperimen. Nilai rata-rata post-test pada kelas eksperimen dengan nilai rata-rata 87,29 dengan predikat baik. Hasil hipotesis Paired Sampel Test bahwa nilai t -20,518 dengan nilai Sig (2-tailed) 0,000 lebih rendah dari 0,05, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Ha dapat diterima. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan model Think Pair Share terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa kelas delapan di MTsN 1 Padang.
