Abstract

The era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has significantly impacted various aspects of life, including adolescent behavior patterns and social interactions. The widespread access to the internet has facilitated numerous areas such as education, economy, and communication. However, technological advancements also pose risks, one of which is the increasing prevalence of online gambling among teenagers. This study aims to explore online gambling addiction in student A (16 years old) at SMA N 1 Siempat Nempu Hilir and the factors influencing it. The methodology employed is a single case study using a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approach integrated with biblical principles. Research instruments include pre- and post-intervention questionnaires on gambling behavior, psychological well-being, and parental supervision, as well as interviews with student A's close friends. The findings indicate that a lack of parental supervision is a primary factor contributing to online gambling addiction in student A. Through biblically-based CBT interventions, there was a significant reduction in the frequency and intensity of online gambling activities, an improvement in psychological well-being, and increased parental involvement in monitoring the child's activities. This study highlights the importance of a holistic approach that integrates psychological and spiritual aspects in addressing online gambling addiction among teenagers. To address and prevent the spread of online gambling addiction, cooperation between the community, government, and stakeholders is essential. Effective prevention efforts should include education on the risks and negative impacts of online gambling, enhanced parental supervision, and the provision of psychological and spiritual support for teenagers. By doing so, we can protect young people from the dangers of online gambling addiction and build a better future.

Abstract

Road signs are visual or verbal information that provides road users with instructions or directions to help them reach their destination safely and efficiently. Traffic signs can be traffic signs, directional signs, road markings, or verbal instructions given by GPS navigation or road guidance. The purpose of directions is to provide clear information regarding direction, distance and travel route to the desired destination. The aim of this research is to develop effective guidelines for the Juma Gaja, Sikunihan 1, Sikunihan 2 and Siboras areas. By analyzing user needs and integrating GPS technology, we have designed a navigation system that can provide accurate and efficient directions. Field test methodology is used to ensure system effectiveness. The results show that the system implemented has succeeded in providing guidance that is timely and easy to use. The practical implication of this research is increasing mobility and transportation affordability in the study area..

Abstract

The enemy of progress is comfort. Some people might say, don't we need to feel comfortable in this life? This opinion is not completely wrong, but if we only pursue comfort, then we can get trapped in the comfort zone that we created ourselves. The comfort zone will make a person no longer productive and responsive to change. If someone is trapped in a comfort zone, then their life will quickly decline by it self. This research is motivated by ideal conditions and reality conditions regarding comfort zones and faith zones. The ideal condition is that young Christians must experience a breakthrough in their faith and work for God in accordance with the Bible and the reality is that many young Christians are still tied to their comfort zone. The aim to be achieved in this research is to release Christian youth out of their comfort zone into the faith zone. The research was conducted at the Indonesian Protestant Christian Church with church youth, using qualitative research. Based on research results, many young Christians are still comfortable in their comfort zone. Thus, we raised the title "Get out of the comfort zone into the faith zone". Therefore, it is recommended that every young Christian must first instill good Christian character and values according to the contents of the Bible.
