Abstract

Community service activities aim to provide understanding to the community related to social capital strategies in the institutional development of Bumdes as resilience to local economic development in order to build solid networks and cooperation among village community members. The implementation of community service activities uses the lecture and discussion method which is carried out in 2 stages, namely the stages of service planning activities, and the stages of implementation activities. The strategy of strengthening local economic development through social capital and Village-Owned Enterprises ( BUMDes) is implemented through community empowerment, participatory approach, social capital development, local business development, use of technology and innovation, promotion of local products, and monitoring and evaluation, which means that social capital strategies can play a role in developing BUMDes institutions. In addition, the implementation of this activity has run smoothly and community members have welcomed this activity.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of digital competency, employee engagement, and leadership style on employee performance in Indonesian SMEs, framed within the Society 5.0 era. The study uniquely incorporates innovation capability as a mediator and organizational culture as a moderator, exploring how these factors enhance performance and innovation in a digitally advancing society. Using a quantitative approach and data from 350 SME employees, the findings demonstrate that digital competency, engagement, and leadership style significantly influence performance. Moreover, innovation capability mediates these relationships, while a supportive organizational culture strengthens the link between these factors and innovation. This study’s novel approach provides valuable insights into HRM strategies, emphasizing the need for ongoing digital skill development, engaged leadership, and adaptive cultural practices to drive resilience and innovation in SMEs. These findings contribute to the broader understanding of effective performance enhancement practices in the Society 5.0 context, providing actionable recommendations for SME managers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and examine the effect of competency and                               career development on employee engagement and employee performance. Analyzing the effect of employee engagement on performance, as well as analyzing the effect of employee engagement in mediating the effect of competency and career development on employee performance at PT. Hadji Kalla, Urip Sumohardjo Makassar Branch. This research uses a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires, with data analysis techniques using path analysis. The results of the study found that competency and career development have a direct effect on employee engagement and employee performance. Then employee engagement has a direct effect on employee performance. From the results of the sobel test, it can be concluded that employee engagement can mediate the influence of competency and career development on employee performance at PT. Hadji Kalla Urip Sumoharjo Branch.
