Abstract

This study presents a test of the long short term memory (LSTM) algorithm on traffic prediction with multi edge server and cloud server architectures. IoT sensors located on the roadside such as cameras and location data on each driver are used and stored in the data center. When a driver sends a travel time request to a nearby edge server, traffic predictions will be made on the edge server or cloud server. Server selection is made based on the destination location of the driver's request. If the destination is in the edge server area, traffic predictions are made on the edge server. However, if the destination is in the cloud server area, traffic predictions are made on the cloud server. Then to predict traffic traffic is done with LSTM. following modeling is made with a density of 128 and a density of 256. By learning from previous traffic, LSTM with a greater density gets a proportion of errors, namely RMSE 10.78%, MAE 8.24%, and MAPE 19.87%.

Abstract

The internet network on campus 2 of the Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic (PNUP) often experiences interference with the internet network so that it becomes a complaint from students, lecturers and staff on campus. the network on campus is often down and it is difficult to access internet services to access the internet. So this study aims to measure the parameters of the internet network on campus using the solarwinds application. to analyze the results of monitoring network performance based on the parameters measured. To be able to determine the performance of the campus network 2 PNUP, it is necessary to analyze it by measuring the parameters of network latency, packet loss, throughput and bandwidth usage. Based on the measurement results on holidays in all buildings, the network latency and packet loss results were in very good condition, as well as the throughput and bandwidth were in good condition. By obtaining the overall condition is good. Whereas on the active day of lectures in all buildings, the results showed that network latency was not good and packet loss was in good condition, although there was often an increase in packet loss at certain hours of 100% but it returned to stability, and throughput and bandwidth were in poor condition. By obtaining the overall condition that is not good.

Abstract

The Internal Quality Audit (IQA) process provides information related to performance of Study Program, this performance is represented by twelve criteria based on IQA instrument. The problem is Study Program team describes every condition of the twelve performance achievements in narrative and graphical form using Microsoft Excel and presented to audit team, this’s less effective because Study Program team's explanation cannot be accessed either online or in real time. Alternative solution is the creation of dashboard become right solution to visualize data related to Study Program performance by online so that it is easily accessible to interested parties. The method used is identifying dashboard needs, starting making and presenting dashboard, as well as testing and evaluating. The result is dashboard using Looker Studio which is presented in web view using Google Site to visualize Study Program performance which is illustrated through four criteria, namely lecturers, students, research, and community service whose function is to answer several IQA question instruments related to these criteria. The conclusion is the dashboard successfully answers IQA questions regarding parameters of Study Program performance for 4 criteria, and also presentation of the dashboard on Google Site makes monitoring performance data for each criterion easier to analyze. Abstract

Learning in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era indirectly encourages overall changes in the teaching and learning process. The evolution that has occurred has had a big impact so it is hoped that teaching staff and students will be more skilled in using digital platforms as learning media. This research aims to design and gain benefits from online applications for Website-based Final Semester Examinations. With the issue of using single-use paper in the Final Exam for Students of the D3 Telecommunications Engineering Study Program at State Polytechnic of Ujung Pandang, it can be resolved by using a website-based application in implementing the Final Exam as a solution that can be implemented later. The method used in this research is the development method or Research and Development (R&D), where this method focuses on developing an application, or modifying it, so that the objectives of this research can be achieved. The intended application design aims to make it easier for students to access and carry out various types of activities on a website portal that can be controlled and monitored. In completing this research, Moodle was chosen to resolve an issue that was raised, and it is hoped that it can be the right solution as a concrete step for the contribution of lecturers, especially in resolving issues related to the continued use of single-use paper in the final semester exams for students of the D3 Telecommunications Engineering Study Program. From the issues raised, the use of online applications for website-based student final exams in the D3 Telecommunications Engineering Study Program is a solution that can be implemented as soon as possible.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize the learning of the Digital Connection Engineering course in the Undergraduate Study Program in Applied Telecommunication Network Engineering Technology, Department of Electrical Engineering, Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic by adapting the independent learning curriculum. Using the fishbone diagram method, the problem is described to find the root of the problem and design the required solution. There are three solutions designed, including updating the Semester Learning Plan (RPS), preparing teaching material designs and then using the Learning Management System (LMS) to support online lectures. After the RPS is updated and the teaching material design is prepared, both are then implemented with students and evaluated. The evaluation results show that the percentage of students correct in answering the questions given through the quiz was in the very good category with a percentage range of 81% - 100%. This supports that on average students are able to reach the very good category through the assessment indicators in the RPS as well as teaching materials that have been adapted to the independent learning curriculum.
