Abstract

ABSTRAK : Penelitian mengenai proses pengolahan limbah dari pabrik pengolahan ikan menggunakan trickling filter bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sumber mikroorganisme terhadap pembentukan biofilm serta pengaruh biofilm dan variasi sirkulasi terhadap efektivitas penurunan Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Suspended Solid (TSS), minyak dan lemak dari limbah pengolahan ikan. Penelitian ini diawali dengan pembuatan biofilm dari pecahan genting sebagai media menggunakan air limbah pengolahan ikan dan air sungai sebagai sumber mikroorganisme. Setelah biofilm terbentuk, air limbah dipercikkan ke dalam bak yang berisi biofilm tersebut sebanyak 4 kali sirkulasi. BOD, COD, TSS, minyak dan lemak diukur pada masing-masing sirkulasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan ANOVA dua arah untuk mengetahui pengaruh sumber mirkroorganisme dan variasi sirkulasi pada efektivitas sistem dalam menurunkan parameter pencemar. Sumber mikroorganisme dari limbah pengolahan ikan lebih efektif dibandingkan air sungai. Analisis menujukkan bahwa sirkulasi 4 lebih Efektif dalam menurunkan BOD, COD, TSS, minyak dan lemak dengan persentase secara berurutan adalah 87,50%; 59,57%; 91,85%; dan 88,56%.   ABSTRACT : The research on waste treatment process from fish processing plant by using trickling filter aims to determine the  influence of source of microorganisms on biofilm formation, and the effect of biofilm and the number of circulation on the decrease of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Suspended Solid (TSS), oil and grease. This study started with the formation of biofilm on roof tiles as the media, using fish processing waste and river water as the sources of microbes. The liquid waste was then trickled through the biofilm and circulated for four times. Samples were collected at each circulation and were analysed for their BOD, COD, TSS, Oil and fat concentrations. Data were analysed using two way ANOVA to determine the effect of microbe sources and circulation numbers on the effectivity of the system in decreasing the pollutant parameters. It was evident that biofilm formed by the fish processing waste was more effective than that by river water. The analysis also suggested that 4 circulations lower the BOD, COD, TSS, oil and grease most effectively, with the percentages of 87,50%; 59,57%; 91,85%, and 88,56% respectively.

Abstract

This paper discusses the speciation and bioavailability of Cu and Zn in sediments of  Benoa Bay during which the sediments were sieved in wet and dry conditions. The objective of the study was to determine the concentrations of Cu and Zn in various geochemical forms, therefore the bioavalabilities of the metals could be determined. The determination of the total concentrations of Cu and Zn in the sediments were carried out by the application of extraction with the mixture of HCl and HNO3 (3:1). The speciations of the metals were accomplished with the sequential extraction procedure. The metals concentration measurements were  performed by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy technique with the calibration curve method. It was found that the total Cu concentrations in sediment sieved in wet and dry conditions were  178.4144 mg/kg and 179.9797 mg/kg, respectively. The speciation results for Cu in sediment sieved in wet and dry conditions were as follow: freely, leachable and exchangeable (EFLE) fraction 0.79 and 0.49%, Fe / Mn-oxide fraction 67.75% and 58.71%; organic and sulfide fractions 24.34% and 34.71%,  while resistant fraction 2.89% and 2.82%. Therefore, the bioavalable and resistant fractions of Cu in wet sieved sediment were 92,88 % and 2.89%, respectively, while those of dried sieved were 93,92 % and 2,82%, respectively. The total Zn concentrations in sediment sieved in wet and dry conditions were  195.4015  mg/kg and 196.9482 mg/kg, respectively. The speciation results for Zn in sediment sieved in wet and dry conditions were as follow: EFLE fraction 18.83% and 17.40%, Fe / Mn-oxide fraction 35.86 and 37.65%; organic and sulfide fractions 17.16% and 31.09%,  while resistant fraction 5.76% and 4.09%. Therefore, the bioavalable and resistant fractions of Cu in wet sieved sediment were 71.85% and 5.70%, respectively, while those of dried sieved were 86.14% and 4.09%, respectively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of tourism on water pollution in Lake Batur. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The samples taken include 5 points on Lake Batur which represent tourism locations on Lake Batur, namely the pier, restaurants, tourist attractions in Terunyan Village, hot spring attractions and the middle of the lake. Collecting data using observation methods, laboratory test methods and documentation studies. The research begins with direct observation to 3 key informants who can represent the condition of tourism in Lake Batur, namely the surrounding community, business and visitors. Furthermore, water sampling in Lake Batur and continued with laboratory testing for parameters of pH, biological oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), oil and fat. Next is a documentation study on the situation and condition of Lake Batur and the last is collecting secondary data as supporting data. Furthermore, the data were analyzed de qualitatively to determine the impact of tourism potential on the water quality of Lake Batur. Based on the results of laboratory testing, Lake Batur is polluted in the restaurant and pier area. The restaurant area is characterized by high BOD parameters, while the pier area is characterized by high COD parameters. Based on this, it can be seen that tourism has an impact on increasing the value of pollutants in the waters of Lake Batur. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian laboratorium Danau Batur mengalami pencemaran pada daerah restoran dan dermaga. Pada daerah restoran ditandai dengan tingginya parameter BOD sedangkan daerah dermaga ditandai dengan tingginya parameter COD. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa pariwisata memberikan dampak terhadap peningkatan nilai pencemar pada perairan Danau Batur

Abstract

Dalam kaitannya dengan globalisasi, keindahan alam sebagai nilai intrinsic yang merupakan perwujudan estiteka dari wisata spiritual alas metapa sudah mengalami perubahan penempatan fasilitas yang tidak memenuhi konsep tri hita karana. Implikasi dari penempatan fasilitas yang tidak sesuai adalah ketidak konsistenan kualitas fasilitas yang dirasakan oleh wisatawan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengkaji peran estetika postmoderen pada pengembangan potensi wisata alas metapa sebagai daya tarik wisata. Penelitian dilakukan pendekatan observasi; kegiatan yang dilakukan secara langsung, tidak langsung terhadap literatur dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang berkenaan dengan pariwisata terutama tentang desa wisata spiritual. Melalui observasi ditarik kesimpulan mengenai suatu masalah untuk kemudian ditaik kesimpulan. Dengan menggunakan observasi tidak langsung, seorang peneliti memiliki kesempatan untuk lebih dekat dengan bidang penelitian. Ini berarti metode tinjauan pustaka merupkan metode analisis teoritis yang mengkaji dan membahas materi secara teoritis dan deskriptif dan dalam kontek tertentu dapat dilakukan perbandingan dengan sebuah konsep. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya perubahan terhadap nilai-nillai estetika terhadap daya tarik wisata dan tatanan kehidupan masyarakat. Globalisasi mengaalihkan tujuan kehidupan masyarakat yang tidak hanya terpaku pada kulitas atau estetika, namun lebih kepada kuantitas dalam memenuhi kebutuhan wisatawan.

Abstract

Balanced nutritional food is daily food that contains nutrients in the type and amount that suit the body's needs. The aim of this activity is to provide training and understanding regarding making balanced nutritious food for Posyandu and Toddler Family Development/BKB cadres in Sumerta Kaja Village. The methods used in this training are preliminary studies, preparation of training materials, preparation and procurement of financial resources, implementation of training, monitoring and evaluation and dissemination of results. This training involved Posyandu Cadres, Toddler Family Development, and mothers in Sumerta Kaja Village. Through this training, the Posyandu and Toddler Family Development Cadres in Sumerta Kaja Village were very enthusiastic and were able to provide more varied and nutritionally balanced food for the children.

Abstract

Peninjoan Village has rich and unique natural tourism potential but has not been able to attract maximum tourist attention. The urgency of this research is to identify a tourism destination branding strategy design through the development of quality human resources (HR) in Penenjoan Village, Bangli Regency. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation studies and questionnaires. This research focuses on designing a strong and effective tourism destination brand to increase the attractiveness of Peninjoan Village as a tourist destination.

Abstract

In this era of globalization full of competition, Serangan Village needs to continue to innovate and increase its attractiveness to attract more tourists. One promising strategy is to combine language and cuisine, creating a unique and unforgettable culinary tourism experience. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that community participation through language and culinary arts is able to strengthen the tourist attraction for culinary delights in Serangan Village. The right strategy could be to empower POKDARWIS, especially those who can speak English, in collaborative language and culinary activities in Village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of hyperbole in anti-aging cosmetic advertisements from a pragmatic perspective. Hyperbole is a form of linguistic expression frequently used in advertising to attract audience attention and form strong perceptions of a product. The main focus of this study is how hyperbole is used strategically in conveying advertising messages and influencing consumer behavior. The data in this study consist of anti-aging cosmetic advertisement texts collected from various media, including print, television, and digital platforms. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation and observation of advertising content that emphasizes the use of hyperbole. The results of the study indicate that there are four dominant types of hyperbole in anti-aging cosmetic advertisements. First, temporal hyperbole, which emphasizes the speed of results, such as the claim "younger-looking skin in just 3 days." Second, quantitative hyperbole, which uses excessive numbers and percentages, for example "eliminates 99% of wrinkles instantly." Third, qualitative hyperbole, which exaggerates the efficacy or superiority of a product, such as "the secret to unparalleled eternal beauty." Fourth, comparative hyperbole, which compares a product with an unrealistic analogy or metaphor. From a pragmatic perspective, the use of hyperbole has three main functions, namely: (1) a persuasive function, to convince consumers that the product is very effective; (2) an emotive function, to arouse consumers' emotions and desires for an ideal appearance; and (3) a conative function, to encourage real action in the form of purchasing the product. This study confirms that hyperbole is not only a rhetorical device, but also a powerful communicative strategy in shaping consumer perceptions and behavior in the realm of cosmetic advertising.
