Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of financial technology cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore. This study will explain the impact of the corporation’s implementation as well as opportunities and challenges for both countries in financial technology. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. Data is collected through interviews and literature review. The findings show that the Financial Services Authority, as the regulator of financial technology in Indonesia, has introduced many innovations for the financial technology industry in Indonesia. One of them is the regulatory sandbox, which has been applied to support and develop the financial technology industry in Indonesia. In addition to the sandbox, the exchange of information on market conditions in both countries is also important, especially for expanding into international markets in both countries. Singapore's assistance in introducing financial technology material into the university curriculum is also a realisation of the cooperation. The conclusion of this study is that the cooperation is very helpful for Indonesia, which is a country with a large potential financial technology market, to develop better. Therefore, this financial technology cooperation helps people to have access to financial services. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui realisasi dari kerja sama teknologi finansial antara Indonesia dengan Singapura. Penelitian ini menjelaskan dampak dari implementasi kerja sama serta peluang dan tantangan bagi kedua negara dalam bidang FinTech. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Otoritas Jasa Keuangan sebagai regulator FinTech di Indonesia telah banyak sekali mengadopsi beberapa inovasi bagi industri FinTech, salah satunya adalah regulatory sandbox yang sudah diaplikasikan untuk membantu dan mengembangkan industri FinTech. Selain sandbox, pertukaran informasi mengenai kondisi pasar di kedua negara juga merupakan hal yang penting untuk dapat melakukan ekspansi ke pasar internasional, khususnya kedua negara. Bantuan Singapura untuk membantu materi FinTech masuk ke dalam kurikulum perguruan tinggi juga merupakan realisasi dari kerja sama tersebut. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa kerja sama tersebut sangat membantu bagi Indonesia yang merupakan negara dengan potensi pasar FinTech besar untuk dapat berkembang dengan lebih baik lagi. Kerja sama FinTech secara mendasar berdampak dalam membantu masyarakat untuk dapat mengakses layanan jasa keuangan. Abstract

Digital transformation is one of the priority programs during Joko Widodo's administration. Digital transformation brings the government bureaucratic governance system into the e-government era. This digital transformation in the bureaucratic sector makes public services easier and is a means of data transparency. The digitalization of bureaucracy also facilitates government performance in certain fields, especially administration. However, bureaucratic digitalization efforts are faced with challenges in the form of data breach crimes. As a result, there are still doubts in society regarding the bureaucratic digitalization system. Socialization regarding understanding the PDP Law is an effort contributed by educational staff which aims to spread awareness about the law itself and the importance of maintaining the security of personal data. The aim is to increase people's caution in handing over their personal data in the digital realm. This socialization was carried out in Serua Village, Depok City involving members of the Healthy Village Working Group. The results of the outreach activities showed an increase in participants' understanding and awareness of the benefits of the PDP Law and the importance of protecting personal data. After receiving socialization, the participants became knowledgeable about what features are useful for protecting their data on their respective devices. Apart from that, participants also viewed that the PDP Law could protect their personal data because the law reflected law enforcement efforts for people's personal data.Transformasi digital adalah salah satu program prioritas di masa pemerintahan Joko Widodo. Transformasi digital membawa sistem tata kelola birokrasi pemerintahan ke era e-government. Transformasi digital di sektor birokrasi ini mempermudah pelayanan publik serta sebagai sarana transparansi data. Digitalisasi birokrasi juga memudahkan kinerja pemerintah di bidang tertentu, khususnya administrasi. Namun, upaya digitalisasi birokrasi dihadapkan pada tantangan berupa kejahatan pembobolan data. Dampaknya, masih terdapat keraguan dalam masyarakat terhadap sistem digitalisasi  birokrasi. Sosialisasi mengenai pemahaman UU PDP merupakan upaya kontribusi dari tenaga pendidik yang bertujuan untuk menyebarkan kesadaran mengenai undang-undang itu sendiri serta pentingnya menjaga keamanan data pribadi. Tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan kehati-hatian masyarakat dalam menyerahkan data pribadi mereka di ranah digital. Sosialisasi ini dilakukan di Kelurahan Serua, Kota Depok dengan melibatkan anggota Pokja Kelurahan Sehat. Hasil kegiatan sosialisasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan kesadaran peserta terhadap manfaat UU PDP serta pentingnya melindungi data pribadi. Setelah mendapatkan sosialisasi, para peserta menjadi memiliki pengetahuan terkait fitur apa saja yang bermanfaat bagi perlindungan data mereka di gawai masing-masing. Selain itu, peserta juga memandang bahwa UU PDP dapat melindungi data pribadi mereka adalah karena undang-undang tersebut mencerminkan upaya penegakan hukum bagi data pribadi masyarakat.

Abstract

This study will analyze South Korea's gastro-diplomacy efforts to improve national branding in Indonesia from 2015 to 2018 using the Korean Wave. This study also discusses South Korea's initiative to preserve its culture through food, including kimchi. South Korea makes these efforts to attract the global world and strives to continue to build a good image. Seeing that South Korea, with its Drama and K-pop culture, has been glanced at by international countries, South Korea is trying to market its food products. This study aims to analyze the gastro-diplomacy efforts carried out by South Korea to further promote South Korean food culture in Indonesia by using qualitative descriptive methods. Data sources were obtained from book documents, research journals, and credible internet media as supporting primary sources related to South Korean gastro diplomacy. According to the study's final findings, using kimchi gastro diplomacy in Indonesia has increased the number of kimchi lovers, South Korean restaurants in Indonesia, and imports and exports, especially in the food industry. Because the taste of South Korean and Indonesian cuisine is similar, Indonesian people easily like South Korean cuisine. Therefore, gastro diplomacy is used by South Korea to further promote South Korean food culture, especially in the field of cuisine.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the economic diplomacy strategy carried out by Indonesia to export textile products, especially apparel, to Australia through the Indonesia Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (IA-CEPA) for 2020-2023. In this research, the method used is a descriptive method using interviews and literature study. The research results show that although the overall export trend shows positive results, there has been no significant change in exports of Indonesian textile products since IA-CEPA was implemented. This happens because there are still trade challenges both internal and external. The economic diplomacy carried out by the Indonesian Government is not only to overcome these challenges but also to encourage increased exports of Indonesian textile products to Australia. Economic diplomacy is analyzed based on Kishan S. Rana's theory which consists of four stages, namely economic salesmanship, networking, image building, and regulation management. Economic diplomacy is carried out through exhibitions, network expansion, information dissemination, promotions digital, and accelerated implementation of IA-CEPA with a memorandum of understanding and issuing Minister of Trade Regulation No. 36 of 2023 concerning Import Policies and Regulations to protect the domestic textile industry.

Abstract

Transformasi digital adalah salah satu program prioritas di masa pemerintahan Joko Widodo. Transformasi digital membawa sistem tata kelola birokrasi pemerintahan ke era e-government. Transformasi digital di sektor birokrasi ini mempermudah pelayanan publik serta sebagai sarana transparansi data. Digitalisasi birokrasi juga memudahkan kinerja pemerintah di bidang tertentu, khususnya administrasi. Namun, upaya digitalisasi birokrasi dihadapkan pada tantangan berupa kejahatan pembobolan data. Dampaknya, masih terdapat keraguan dalam masyarakat terhadap sistem digitalisasi birokrasi. Sosialisasi mengenai pemahaman UU PDP merupakan upaya kontribusi dari tenaga pendidik yang bertujuan untuk menyebarkan kesadaran mengenai undang-undang itu sendiri serta pentingnya menjaga keamanan data pribadi. Tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan kehati-hatian masyarakat dalam menyerahkan data pribadi mereka di ranah digital. Sosialisasi ini dilakukan di Kelurahan Serua, Kota Depok dengan melibatkan anggota Pokja Kelurahan Sehat. Hasil kegiatan sosialisasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan kesadaran peserta terhadap manfaat UU PDP serta pentingnya melindungi data pribadi. Setelah mendapatkan sosialisasi, para peserta menjadi memiliki pengetahuan terkait fitur apa saja yang bermanfaat bagi perlindungan data mereka di gawai masing-masing. Selain itu, peserta juga memandang bahwa UU PDP dapat melindungi data pribadi mereka adalah karena undang-undang tersebut mencerminkan upaya penegakan hukum bagi data pribadi masyarakat.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that relies on international trade to support its economic growth. Since the 1980s, Indonesia's international trade has undergone significant changes, where previously, its exports heavily depended on oil and gas commodities. However, non-oil and gas commodities, such as cocoa, have now become dominant sectors in Indonesia's export development. Exports play a vital role in a country's economy, as an increase in exports compared to imports benefits the country, while dependence on imports can lead to a trade balance deficit. Malaysia is one of the main destinations for Indonesia's cocoa exports, followed by China, India, the United States, and the Philippines. Total cocoa exports in the last five years have shown fluctuations. Although geographically close, there are significant differences between Indonesian and Malaysian cocoa beans, especially in processing practices, particularly cocoa bean fermentation. Studies have shown that Indonesia's cocoa exports to Malaysia have increased, although from 2017 to 2021, there was a slight decline in the export volume. Indonesia's economic diplomacy, including cocoa product promotion and production quality improvements, has played a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian cocoa in the Malaysian market. Overall, Indonesia's economic diplomacy has significantly contributed to boosting cocoa exports to Malaysia during the 2017–2021 period through various initiatives that strengthen the competitiveness and quality of Indonesian cocoa products in the international market.

Abstract

Prinsip hak privasi terhadap data pribadi menjadi aspek kritis dalam era digital. Interaksi dengan teknologi digital yang intens dilakukan setiap harinya menuntut keamanan yang lebih terjamin bagi aliran data yang ada sebab masyarakat memberikan data pribadi mereka secara daring dalam transaksi tersebut. Untuk menjawab tuntutan ini, pemerintah mengesahkan Undang-Undang Nomor 27 Tahun 2022 tentang Perlindungan Data Pribadi sebagai peraturan terbaru atas perlindungan data pribadi. Sosialisasi ini dilakukan guna menambah wawasan serta kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya keamanan data pribadi seseorang serta sanksi pelanggarannya. Sosialisasi dilakukan menggunakan metode presentasi dengan melibatkan warga Kelurahan Serua, Bojongsari, Depok. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan peserta terkait data pribadi serta UU PDP itu sendiri. Para peserta juga memahami metode-metode yang sebaiknya mereka lakukan pada akun-akun sosial media dan pesan instan mereka untuk meminimalisir penyalahgunaan data pribadi, seperti Two Factor Authentication (2FA), mode “privat”, dan End-to-end encryption.

Abstract

Hubungan dagang Indonesia-Jepang yang telah lama terjalin, khususnya melalui Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJ-EPA), membuka peluang besar bagi peningkatan ekspor komoditas unggulan nasional, salah satunya kopi Arabika. Namun, pasar Jepang dikenal sangat selektif dengan standar kualitas dan keamanan pangan yang ketat, sehingga diperlukan strategi diplomasi ekonomi yang tepat untuk dapat bersaing dan mempertahankan pangsa pasar. Penelitian ini mengkaji peran diplomasi ekonomi Indonesia-Jepang dalam mendorong ekspor kopi Arabika ke Jepang pada periode 2019 hingga 2024. Berdasarkan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi literatur dan analisis data sekunder, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi strategi kerja sama bilateral, seperti pemanfaatan Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJ-EPA), promosi melalui pameran dagang, serta inisiatif riset bersama dan sertifikasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diplomasi ekonomi telah berkontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan ekspor kopi Arabika Indonesia ke Jepang, meskipun menghadapi tantangan seperti persaingan global, standar keamanan pangan Jepang yang ketat, dan gangguan akibat pandemi COVID-19. Studi ini juga menyoroti peran krusial sinergi antara pemerintah, pelaku usaha, dan petani dalam memperkuat posisi Indonesia sebagai pemasok kopi spesialti berkualitas tinggi di pasar Jepang. Rekomendasi kebijakan meliputi penguatan branding, peningkatan kapasitas petani, dan optimalisasi skema perdagangan bilateral guna memastikan keberlanjutan ekspor.

Abstract

Background: Film has been playing more of the role as a symbolic tool for public relations to externalize countries’ soft power and nationalism in such geo-political competition among major countries in world communication. Purpose: This study aims to analyse how these filmic narratives function as public relations texts within the sphere of soft power competition between Hollywood and Chinese cinema through an analysis of both the ideological meaning and cultural significance constructed around these personalities, figures, and ideas on a global scale. Methods: Drawing on the qualitative comparative case study methodology and a media political economy model, this study examines theme narratives of certain Hollywood and Chinese films that depict representations of national identity and geopolitical interests along three dimensions; (a) literary narrative, (b) censorship laws, and (c) capitalist structure of media. Results: I find that Hollywood films promote a narrative of global leadership, technological advancement and liberal values in the context of what I call “entertainment capitalism”, while Chinese movies emphasize nationalism, state ideology and reinterpreting history under conditions of “state capitalism” with severe media regulation. Conclusion: In both cases, film narratives work as symbolic public relations rather than institutional ones that frame these forms of soft-power competition between Hollywood and China Implications: The study emphasizes the value of storytelling in film that changes as the experiential space is utilized for public diplomacy; here, it promises contributions to theorization in film studies, cultural diplomacy and international communication research.
