Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of the Al-Imrithy practical guidebook among Ihfad Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Blokagung Banyuwangi participants as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in learning qawaid. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Collection techniques by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using data reduction, presentation and conclusion processes. The results of this research are that the learning activities of Ihfad Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Blokagung participants have three types of main material, namely Jurumiyyah, Al-Imrithy and Alfiyyah. This activity is yaumiyyah or carried out every day except Tuesday night and this activity focuses more on basic understanding of nadzam and key words. The supporting factors in learning qawaid nadzam Al-Imrithy for Ihfad participants are high enthusiasm and strong determination, both from administrators, mentors and participants. In addition, the positive impact caused by the mnemonic method is that it makes it easier for participants to understand and process nadzam. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors were the relatively short time, inadequate space, and a busy situation, which made the Ihfad participants feel less than optimal in receiving explanations from the supervisor.

Abstract

Vocabulary learning activities are the main activities in achieving the goals of learning Arabic at school. Many MA Al-Amiriyyah students experience difficulties in understanding the meaning of reading texts and questions due to their lack of mastery of the mufradat vocabulary. So the focus of this research is how to improve students' memorization of mufradat through the application of the creat sentence method. The research method used is a qualitative approach. The results of this research are that the application of the creat sentence method in improving the ability to memorize mufradat in MA al-Amiriyyah students is said to be good, proven by memorizing vocabulary and students who are enthusiastic in participating in the learning process. Improving memorization of mufradat through the application of the creat sentence method has also been good and there are new variations in memorizing mufradat, as well as different ways of memorizing, among others.

Abstract

Developing speaking skills (maharah al-kalam) among Arabic learners remains a persistent challenge, particularly in Islamic secondary schools where communicative competence often lags behind receptive abilities. This study addresses the problem of how to effectively engage students in spoken Arabic by examining the integration of theme-based hadith discussions into classroom practice. The aim is to investigate how teachers at MAN 2 Banyuwangi design, implement, and evaluate such activities, and to assess their impact on students’ participation and fluency. Employing a qualitative approach within an intrinsic case study framework, the research collected data through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, enabling triangulation of findings across multiple sources. The distinctive contribution of this work lies in its focused linkage between the moral and social themes of hadith and targeted speaking skill development, alongside a detailed analysis of teachers’ day-to-day instructional strategies. Results indicate that approaches such as linguistic scaffolding, contextual role-play, and small-group discussions anchored in selected hadith topics elevated student participation to approximately 90% and improved speaking fluency by 67%. Furthermore, the use of the ADDIE instructional design cycle ensured systematic planning, execution, and evaluation, enhancing both student engagement and language outcomes. This study contributes practical, evidence-based strategies for Arabic language instruction in Islamic educational contexts, demonstrating that selecting relevant themes, employing interactive methods, and applying structured pedagogical models can significantly advance speaking proficiency while reinforcing moral education.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the management of the Arabic language learning curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Al Amiriyyah Blokagung Banyuwangi. This type of research uses qualitative research methods. Data collection is through observation, interviews and documentation. With key informants, namely the school principal, Arabic language studies teacher, and curriculum supervisor. And data validity techniques use triangulation. The data analysis used goes through several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of this research begin with planning the management of the Arabic language learning curriculum by making lesson plans, syllabi, making prota (annual programs) and promes (semester programs) and in the planning involving existing stechholders; organizing management of the Arabic language learning curriculum, namely by teachers participating in MGMP (Subject Teachers' Conference) activities; Meanwhile, the implementation of Arabic language learning curriculum management is carried out by all sectors in Madrasah Aliyah Al Amiriyyah Blokagung Bnayuwangi with the aim of implementing Arabic language learning curriculum management to be carried out in accordance with the stated objectives; and evaluation of Arabic language learning curriculum management consists of three types of evaluation, namely in terms of character, spiritual and social. And in carrying out the evaluation, it is measured from the value of the material presented.
