Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the application of Islamic business ethics in e-commerce with a focus on how technology can be integrated with sharia values. Using qualitative research methods with a descriptive-analytical approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with Muslim e-commerce business people, sharia experts, and consumers, as well as direct observation and documentation analysis. The research results show that although there is a fairly good understanding of sharia principles such as honesty, justice and transparency, their implementation in e-commerce still faces various challenges. These challenges include a lack of in-depth understanding among business people, technological obstacles, and low consumer acceptance. However, this research also found that strategies such as education and training, development of sharia-supporting technology, and consumer awareness campaigns can overcome these challenges. Overall, the integration of technology with sharia values in e-commerce not only enables businesses that comply with Islamic principles, but also opens up great opportunities for wider market development and increased consumer confidence. This research provides practical insights for Muslim business people and policy makers in implementing Islamic business ethics in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the theory of demand in Islamic economics by reviewing its principles, concepts, and implementation in modern economic life. The research approach uses a qualitative method with literature analysis covering primary and secondary sources, such as the Qur'an, Hadith, and classical and contemporary Islamic economic literature. The results of the study indicate that the theory of demand in Islamic economics is based on moral and ethical principles that emphasize justice, balance, and public welfare. Consumer demand in Islamic economics is not only influenced by economic factors such as price and income, but also by spiritual values, such as priority needs, prohibition of excessive consumption (israf), and prohibition of haram goods. In addition, the implementation of the theory of demand in Islamic economics can be realized through policies that encourage the production and consumption of halal and tayyib goods, promotion of ethical awareness in consumption, and strengthening zakat and waqf institutions to support economic redistribution. This study recommends strengthening education related to the principles of Islamic consumption to the community and developing a policy framework that supports the implementation of Islamic values in the modern economic system. The implementation of these values is expected to create a balance between the interests of individuals and society, and contribute to the sustainability of the global economy.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the implementation of the wadiah contract in savings products at several Islamic banks in Indonesia and examine its impact on customer loyalty. Wadiah is a safekeeping (deposit) contract without compensation, commonly applied in Islamic banking savings products. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with case studies at three prominent Islamic banks: Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), Bank Muamalat, and Bank Mega Syariah. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with management and customers, as well as product documentation. The results show that the application of the wadiah contract varies in terms of transparency, hibah (bonus) incentives, and treatment of customer funds. These differences significantly affect customers' perceptions of fairness, comfort, and trust, ultimately influencing varying levels of customer loyalty. This study recommends standardizing the implementation of the wadiah contract to avoid sharia ambiguity and maintain public trust in Islamic banks.
