Abstract

In the digital era, the ability to understand and analyze data is very important for students. Statistics, a part of mathematics, is widely used in various fields, but its learning in schools is still often only theoretical and manual. SPSS is a data analysis software that can help students learn statistics in a more practical and interactive way. With SPSS, students can more easily understand concepts, hone analytical skills, and be ready to face the data-driven world of work. However, there are still many students who are not familiar with using SPSS due to lack of access and training. Therefore, this service aims to introduce and train students to use SPSS so that they are better prepared in the digital era. The method of this service activity is training by means of lectures to explain the basic concepts and introduction of SPSS, demonstrations to show how to use SPSS features and exercises so that participants can directly practice data processing with SPSS. SPSS is a software used to easily process and analyze statistical data. Data can be entered directly or copied from Excel into SPSS. Analysis is done through the menus, and results can be copied to Word, Excel, or PowerPoint for reports or presentations. One of the features of SPSS is Descriptive Statistics, which shows the minimum, maximum, mean and standard deviation of data. With SPSS, students can directly process and analyze data, making it easier to understand and present data correctly. Their analytical skills also improve, especially in using basic statistics to solve real problems. Learning with SPSS helps students better understand statistics and be ready to face the digital world that requires data analysis skills.

Abstract

Financial fraud remains a critical challenge for banking systems and digital payment platforms worldwide. With the rapid growth of electronic transactions, effective fraud detection mechanisms are essential to ensure security and user trust. This study explores the application of an unsupervised deep learning model—Autoencoder—for anomaly-based financial fraud detection. Utilizing the publicly available Kaggle Credit Card Fraud Detection dataset, which comprises 284,807 transactions including 492 fraudulent cases, the model is trained exclusively on legitimate transactions to learn typical behavioral patterns. Prior to training, the dataset underwent feature anonymization using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and numerical columns such as "Amount" and "Time" were normalized using Min-Max Scaling. The Autoencoder architecture includes three encoder and decoder layers with ReLU activations, and is optimized using the Adam optimizer with Mean Squared Error (MSE) as the loss function. Experimental results show that the model achieves a classification accuracy of 94% and an AUC score of 0.931, indicating strong potential for detecting anomalies. However, the precision for identifying fraudulent transactions remains relatively low (5%), reflecting the challenges posed by imbalanced datasets. Despite this, the study demonstrates that Autoencoder offers a promising foundation for fraud detection systems, with further improvements possible through model integration and hybrid ensemble techniques

Abstract

Amid the onslaught of technology and social media, vocational school students' interest in reading in Indonesia is still like a fading fire. Lack of access to books, minimal interest in reading, and an undeveloped literacy culture in the school environment are the dominant factors. This condition hampers the learning achievement and critical thinking abilities of vocational school students. The first step is to delve into the reading habits of vocational school students and the factors that influence them. The time has come for the promotion of literacy culture to be launched. Various interesting and interactive activities are packaged to attract the interest of vocational school students. Starting from counseling about the importance of reading, introduction to various types of books, to discussions and reading competitions. This is clear evidence that the socialization of literacy culture is able to revive interest in reading among vocational school students. This research concludes that literacy culture socialization is an effective way to increase vocational school students' interest in reading. Sustainable efforts are needed to instill a culture of literacy in the school environment, involving collaboration between schools, parents and the community.

Abstract

SMP YP HKBP 1 Pematangsiantar School is currently conducting face-to-face learning in class. The learning process is carried out by the teacher explaining in front of the class and writing the material given on the board and then the students note it down in a notebook to read again at home. However, not all students want to re-read the notes they have taken at home, but the grades given by the teacher to the students are less than satisfactory. Children now have gone through a health emergency and still like to read using digital information technology. The development of information technology means that information can be conveyed very quickly in all fields, including education. During a global disaster emergency several years ago, information technology was really needed to get the latest information. In the field of education, distance information technology is used to support learning. Education practitioners in Indonesia must learn again to use information technology in applications that are very developed and require the name of the internet. The internet makes it easier for people to get information quickly and affordably. In the field of education, the internet provides global access to information. There are various educational applications in the learning process, one of which is Padlet. The padlet application can be used by SMP YP HKBP 1 Pematangsiantar School to improve the abilities of SMP YP HKBP 1 Pematangsiantar School students in the learning process which interacts between teachers and students over long or near distances.  Therefore, this service is carried out to improve the abilities of SMP YP HKBP 1 Pematangsiantar School students by using the Padlet application.
