Abstract

(Abstract) This study aims to analyze the response of different doses of NPK compound fertilizer on the growth and oil production of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.). It is necessary to increase the production of sunflower oil by applying the appropriate dose of NPK fertilizer to meet the demands of the oil market. This study used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), with 4 experimental treatments: NPK compound fertilizer doses of 2.5 g/plant, 3.75 g/plant, 5 g/plant and 6.25 g/plant. The results showed significant positive effects of NPK fertilization on vegetative growth parameters, specifically plant height and stem diameter. However, the fertilizer treatments did not show significant impact on sunflower oil production. Based on the observed results, the 3.75 g/plant dose (D2) was the most effective NPK dose for the parameters of leaf number, flower diameter, flower weight, seed wet weight, seed dry weight.

Abstract

The production of kailan can be improved by maintaining soil fertility. This study aims to determine the effect of incubation duration and biofertilizer application, as well as the interaction between incubation duration and biofertilizer application, on the growth and yield of kailan plants. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was incubation duration with four treatment levels: no incubation (I0), 1-week incubation (I1), 2-week incubation (I2), and 3-week incubation (I3). The second factor was the application of biofertilizer at three concentration levels: no biofertilizer (D0), biofertilizer application at 15 ml/L (D1), and biofertilizer application at 30 ml/L (D2). The results showed that the incubation of cattle manure significantly affected the growth and yield of kailan plants. Cattle manure incubation affected plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area, fresh plant weight, fresh shoot weight, dry shoot weight, fresh root weight, and dry root weight, especially during the 3-week incubation (I3). Biofertilizer application affected plant height, stem diameter, and fresh plant weight at concentrations of 15 ml/L (D1) and 30 ml/L (D2).

Abstract

Perakitan varietas tomat khusus wilayah urban perlu dilakukan untuk mempercepat ketersediaan tomat secara mandiri di wilayah perkotaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi potensi hasil, penampilan karakter hortikultura, serta menduga nilai heritabilitas arti luas genotipe tomat generasi F6 di dataran rendah. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret hingga Agustus 2021 di Kebun Percobaan Agroteknologi Universitas Gunadarma wilayah Jakarta Timur, dengan menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) satu faktor, yaitu genotipe tomat yang diulang tiga kali. Taraf perlakuan terdiri atas 4 genotipe tomat generasi F6 dan 2 varietas komersil (Tantyna F1 dan Tora IPB). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan penampilan hortikultura antara genotipe tomat generasi F6 dengan varietas komersial yang diamati. Segregasi masih terjadi pada karakter kualitatif yaitu, pewarnaan antosianin pada hipokotil, warna bahu buah hijau sebelum matang dan bentuk ujung pada genotipe tomat F6. Terdapat genotipe tomat F6 yang memiliki karakter komponen hasil dan karakter hasil yang lebih baik dibanding varietas komersial seperti umur berbunga, umur panen, bobot per buah, panjang buah, kekerasan buah, total padatanterlarut, jumlah buah layak panen, dan bobot buah layak panen. Seluruh karakter kuantitatif memiliki nilai heritabilitas arti luas kriteria tinggi kecuali umur panen dan jumlah rongga buah dengan kriteria rendah. Karakter dengan nilai heritabilitas tinggi dapat dijadikan karakter seleksi generasi berikutnya. Kata kunci: daya hasil, heritabilitas, ragam genetik, Solanum lycopersicum.
