Abstract

Epithermal deposit might be a potential economic mining source. One kind of this deposit is the low-sulphidation epithermal with the quartz vein which can be found in the study area. However, the high intensity number of the alteration process will affect the rock mass quality in the area of interest which also will influence the safety of underground mining process, ecspecially while the tunnel reinforcement is being set. Therefore, maximum unsupported span and stand up time value need to be determined.Study area is Nanggung Subdistrict, Bogor District, West Java Province. This study is conducted at some fronts in Ciguha tunnel, using the Q system methode. After the rock mass has been classified, the maximum unsupported span and stand up time value can be calculated. The result shows that maximum unsupported span value has a variety number from 8 hours to 1 year extend. At the other side, stand up time value also has a variety number from 1 to 4 meters span. Both shows a value depends on their own rock mass quality. Keyword: Q- System, Stand up time, Maximum unsupported span

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of using visual media in Social Studies (IPS) learning at the elementary school level. The main issue in IPS learning is the low interest and engagement of students, often due to monotonous teaching methods. Visual media, such as images, videos, and graphics, can offer a solution by presenting IPS material in a more interactive, engaging, and easy-to-understand way. This study employs a qualitative, literature-based method, collecting and reviewing various documents, books, and journal articles to obtain relevant data. The results show that using visual media can increase students' interest in learning, strengthen concept comprehension, and motivate them to participate more actively in class. However, challenges in its application include limited teacher skills and understanding of visual media, as well as resource constraints. To address these obstacles, recommendations include technology training for teachers, availability of supporting facilities, and collaboration with multimedia experts. With the right strategies, visual media has the potential to enhance the quality of IPS learning in elementary schools, making students more active, engaged, and better equipped to understand the material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of parents' socio-economic conditions on the learning process and academic achievement of elementary school students. This research is a descriptive qualitative study using a literature review method, in which the researcher collects and examines various relevant journal sources. The focus of this study is on the socio-economic background of parents, including education level, occupation, and income, in relation to student engagement during the learning process and the outcomes achieved. The results indicate that parents' socio-economic factors have a significant impact on students' learning motivation. Students from families with stable socio-economic conditions tend to have better access to education due to adequate supporting facilities and higher learning motivation. These findings highlight the importance of the family's role in shaping students’ learning enthusiasm in elementary school.
