Abstract

This study delves into the theme of feminism in the novel Rara Mendut by Y.B. Mangunwijaya. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this research explores the struggles and liberation of women revealed in the narrative of the novel. By using the novel's text as the primary source of data, this study conducts in-depth analysis of the main female characters and situations that depict the dynamics of feminism within the Indonesian cultural context. The findings of this research can provide deeper insights into how feminism is represented and advocated for in Indonesian literary works. Keywords: Feminism, Rara Mendut, Women’s Struggle

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah cara guru dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran, salah satunya melalui TikTok sebagai media microlearning. Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas TikTok dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan peserta didik pada berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menganalisis berbagai penelitian terkait pemanfaatan TikTok dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TikTok dapat menjadi alat bantu pembelajaran yang efektif karena menyajikan materi secara singkat, menarik, dan mudah diakses. Selain itu, TikTok memungkinkan guru menyampaikan materi dalam format yang sesuai dengan gaya belajar generasi digital. Meskipun demikian, terdapat tantangan dalam penerapannya, seperti validitas informasi dan distraksi dari konten non-edukatif. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran memerlukan perancangan konten yang terstruktur dan sesuai dengan kurikulum agar tetap relevan dengan tujuan pendidikan.

Abstract

One important aspect that is the focus of education today is strengthening learners’ literacy. This research aims to contribute to the development of effective literacy learning strategies in the Madrasah Tsanawiyah environment. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The participants consisted of the deputy head of student affairs, an Indonesian language tutor, and grade VIII students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Zainul Hasan Genggong. Data were analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model. The findings indicate that the TRAP strategy fosters students’ engagement in reading comprehension and summarizing texts in their own words. Its success is influenced by teacher guidance and the availability of suitable reading materials. Challenges identified include limited reading resources and low writing proficiency among some students. Theoretically, this study reinforces the role of interactive strategies in literacy development, while practically, the TRAP strategy can be adapted in secondary school literacy policies to enhance students’ reading and writing skills.
