Abstract

This research aims: as an initial observation, symptoms and signs of damage due to insect attacks or disease on linggua plants in the nursery. The research was carried out at the People's Nursery (KBR) nursery in Liliboi Village, West Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency, in October 2022. This research included observations of various damages to linggua plants in the nursery at KBR in Liliboi village. Observations were carried out in detail. on leaves, twig shoots and plant stems. Each type of damage is carried out by taking photos and recording the type of damage that occurs. The research results show that the pests and diseases that attack are grasshoppers and leaf spot disease. Grasshoppers can attack young and old plants by damaging the plants' leaves and shoots. Apart from that, grasshoppers have long legs so they can jump very quickly from one plant to another, grasshoppers are poly fat animals. Leaf spot disease has a characteristic, the formation of dead areas on the leaves (necrotic) with varying sizes ranging from small to large, round to angular or irregular which do not die completely unless a number of spots merge together and form large spots, so that the leaf tissue dies.

Dusung Agroforestry Management, Negeri Liang, Central Maluku RegencyDusung Agroforestry Management, Negeri Liang, Central Maluku RegencyThe aim of this research is to determine management patterns and factors that influence the hamlets of Liang Village, Teluk Elpaputih District, Central Maluku Regency. Forests have abundant natural resources that can be utilized, resulting in forest use by communities around the forest area. This use is carried out by the community to meet daily living needs. Community dependence on forests is proven by community activities in managing forests to meet living needs. Agroforestry is expected to optimize the results of sustainable land use which is characterized by no decline in crop production over time. and no environmental pollution. These activities are carried out using management pattern practices in accordance with local economic, social and cultural conditions. The survey method is a research method used to obtain data from certain natural places, but research uses questionnaire tests, structured interviews. The results of the research concluded that the Dusung agroforestry management pattern is a mixed pattern (Random Mixture) with the dominance of long-lived plants, cloves and nutmeg, short-lived plants, namely tubers.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the form of planting patterns in hamlets in Lilibooi Country, especially hamlets belonging to members of rose farmer groups and to determine the level of welfare of rose farmer group members from the production of nutmeg wine. The results of the research show that hamlets belonging to members of rose farmer groups in Lilibooi Country have an average of has a random mixture planting pattern or a random planting pattern and a combination of forestry and agricultural plants in it which is classified as an agrisilvicultural pattern. This allows the hamlet which is managed by group members to provide quite good economic value, the nutmeg yield in the hamlet is also quite good so this also influences the production of nutmeg wine which is currently being developed by the rose farmer group. The results of nutmeg wine production are also quite stable so that the profits obtained by the group are also good so that it can help the economy of the group members to improve their standard of living.

Abstract

The method used is a quantitative descriptive method to find out the types of pests and forms of damage examined in the nursery of the People's Nursery (KBR) using a survey method with primary data (attacking pests) and secondary data (temperature, humidity). Based on the results of observations and identification carried out in the field, it was found that the types of pests and forms of damage attacked Linggua (Petrocarpus Indicus) and Titi (Gme-lina moluccana) plants in the KBR nursery in Liliboi Village in an area of 0.25 hectares. In Linggua, five types of pests were found, namely black ants (Dolichoderus Thoracicus), wood locust (Valanga nigricornis), caterpillar (Hyposidra talaca), brown fire caterpillar (Limantria dispar), and tachinid flies (Tachinidae) with each number of plants observed. 100 puppies. In addition, the forms of damage are rolling leaves, insect bites, and scratched leaves.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential of agroforestry plants in Dusung, Negeri Wakal. The research methods included field observation, vegetation inventory, and interviews with local farmers, analyzed using the Importance Value Index (IVI) and the Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index. The results revealed that high-economic-value plants such as clove (Syzygium aromaticum), nutmeg (Myristica fragrans), durian (Durio zibethinus), and coffee (Coffea arabica) are prioritized by the community due to their significant market value. Vegetation structure analysis identified that clove raja (Syzygium obtusifolium) dominates the sapling and pole stages, while water apple (Syzygium aqueum) and Indonesian bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum) are predominant at the tree level. The biodiversity index is categorized as moderate, reflecting a balance between species diversity and the dominance of economically valuable plants. The distribution of plant species is influenced by ecological adaptation, market demand, and community management practices. In conclusion, agroforestry management in Dusung Wakal effectively prioritizes high-economic-value plants that are well-adapted to the environment. However, efforts to preserve biodiversity remain essential to ensure ecosystem sustainability and long-term benefits.

Abstract

Research on the Distribution of Insects in the Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus alba) Planting Area of the Mount Nona Protected Forest, Urimesing Village, Ambon City aims to find out 1) To inventory the types of insects that live in the Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus alba) planting area of the Gunung Nona Protected Forest, Urimesing Village. 2) To determine the value of abundance, diversity and distribution of insects in the Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus alba) planting area of Mount Nona Protected Forest, Urimesing Village. 3) To identify factors that influence the spread of insects in the Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus alba) planting area of Mount Nona Protected Forest, Urimesing Village. This research was carried out descriptively quantitatively, data collection used the exploratory method. Processing insect data by calculating the insect diversity index value (H`) is 0.902, the abundance value (K) is 0.787, the evenness index value (E) is 0.361, the dominance index value (C) is 0.052, and the moricity index value is 0.703. The five index values indicate that the insect species is classified as low.
