Abstract

The purpose: This study aims to examine the effect of burnout and physical work environment on employee performance-mediated work engagement. Methodology: This study uses a quantitative design with a Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. Data were collected through questionnaires from 66 respondents who work at the DIY Education and Training Agency. Results & Conclutions: The results of the analysis show that Burnout on Employee Performance has a significant and positive effect, Burnout does not have a positive effect on Work Engagement. Physical Work Environment on Employee Performance has a significant and positive effect. Physical Work Environment has a significant and positive effect on Work Engagement. Work Engagement on Employee Performance has a significant and positive influence on Work Engagement. burnout does not have a significant influence through work engagement on employee performance. In contrast, physical work environment was shown to significantly and positively influence employee performance through work engagement. This finding suggests that a quality physical work environment can improve work engagement and performance. Implications: This study provides important implications for management who need to focus on improving the physical work environment to encourage employee engagement and improve performance. On the other hand, the results of research on burnout suggest that factors other than work engagement should be taken into account in reducing the negative impact of burnout on employees. This research shows the importance of more comprehensive interventions in addressing burnout in the workplace

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the physical work environment, personality and fairness on employee performance at PT Sinar Jaya. This study uses statistical data with quantitative research, the study population is 130 employees, using probability sampling method with saturated sampling technique. The test analysis uses path analysis with the help of the PLS SEM program. The results of this study state that the physical work environment has no effect and is not significant on employee performance at PT Sinar Jaya, personality has an effect and is significant on employee performance at PT Sinar Jaya and fairness has an effect and significant on employee performance at PT Sinar Jaya. Due to unproven findings in one of the variables, PT Sinar Jaya needs to reorganize by placing employees according to their abilities and always providing ideas to think ahead. For further research, it is necessary to be more specific regarding the indicators used in the physical work environment. It also needs to be re-examined at different agencies by combining other variables that can support the achievement of performance such as non-physical work environment and organizational justice.

Abstract

Keberhasilan organisasi maupun institusi tergantung pada kinerja karyawan sebagai sumber daya manusia yang juga merupakan elemen penting bagi mewujudkan visi, misi, dan tujuan sebuah instansi suwasta maupun negeri. Kinerja karyawan dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, antara lain disiplin kerja, motivasi kerja dan lingkungan kerja fisik maupun Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) merupakan perilaku karyawan di luar tugas yang tercantum pada deskripsi pekerjaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara parsial maupun simultan pada penelitian dengan judul Pengaruh Disiplin Kerja dan Motivasi Serta Lingkungan Kerja Fisik Terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Subyek dan obyek dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh pegawai Pegawai di Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Daerah Istiemwa Yogyakarta yaitu sebanyak 104 orang responden. Jenis penelitian menggunakan teknik kuantitatif dan teknik pengolahan data dalam penelitian menggunakan SmartPLS 3.3.3. Disiplin Kerja tidak mempunyai pengaruh dan signifikan terhadap Organization Citizenship Behavior (OCB) dengan nilai P-Values 0,241>0.05. Motivasi tidak mempunyai pengaruh dan signifikan terhadap Organization Citizenship Behavior (OCB dengan nilai P-Values 0,652>0.05. Lingkungan Kerja Fisik mempunyai pengaruh dan signifikan terhadap Organization Citizenship Behavior (OCB) dengan nilai p – value sebesar 0,000< 0.05.

Abstract

Many Academic Information Systems (SIAKAD), including at Universitas Cahaya Bangsa, prioritize technical function over User Experience (UX), leading to significant pain points and low User Satisfaction. Key issues include the inefficient Course Registration System (KRS) flow (lack of automatic package enrollment) and minimal system feedback. This research aims to analyze and design a SIAKAD UX prototype to reduce daily administrative pain points and improve User Satisfaction using a Mixed Methods approach framed by User-Centered Design (UCD). The qualitative phase utilized in-depth interviews with five active users and subsequent user persona analysis to identify system pain points. The solution was implemented in a high-fidelity prototype (Figma), featuring the Automatic KRS Package Enrollment and a Real-time Notification Page. Quantitative evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) involving 10 student respondents yielded a score of 88.0, categorized as Excellent. This strongly validates that the design, which focuses on flow efficiency and transparent feedback, successfully addresses the initial pain points. The study concludes that UCD is an effective strategic framework for boosting administrative efficiency and User Satisfaction within educational information systems
