Abstract

This study aims to examine organizational structure from various perspectives, with a specific focus on Islamic education, through a literature review approach. The definition of organizational structure encompasses the division of work, determination of authority, and relationships among individuals within the organization, as discussed by various experts. Key elements addressed include work specialization, departmentalization, chain of command, span of control, centralization and decentralization, and formalization. The study also identifies differences in organizational structures, particularly between mechanistic models, which are formal and bureaucratic, and organic models, which are more flexible and participative. Types of organizational structures reviewed include line, line and staff, functional, line and functional, matrix, and committee organizations. Additionally, this research highlights the importance of developing organizational structures in response to changes in business strategies, company growth, and external regulations. The findings indicate that adapting organizational structures to environmental changes and operational needs is crucial for enhancing organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Using the literature review method, this study concludes that an adaptive and integrative approach to managing organizational structures, especially in the context of Islamic education, can positively contribute to achieving organizational goals and improving management quality.

Abstract

The purpose of this writing is to discuss Nidhal Guessoum's study of his thoughts, namely the correlation between Islam and modern science. The explanation is about cosmology, from classical (medieval) Islamic philosophy, scientific interpretation, traditionalism, and modern science from various points of view of Muslim thinkers. This article, which uses a literature study using a qualitative approach, discusses Nidhal Guessoum's thoughts on Islam and modern science. The idea of Islamic/theistic cosmology put forward by Nidhal is the result of his opinion. Cosmology is used as a circle in the frame of monotheism. His opinion on scientific issues such as cosmology cannot be answered by science, but requires a Muslim with his identity to study science while still believing in the existence of God. According to Nidhal, the emphasis of Islamic cosmology should not only be in the form of scientific interpretation or scientific interpretation as has been embodied by some munfasir. Nidhal's alternative as an offer to ideas that apparently contain weaknesses and cannot be developed is the quantum approach. The quantum approach is based on three principles to be an integration of religion with modern science
