Abstract

Penelitian iini bertujuann untuk meningkatkann kemampuannkoneksi dan pemahaman matematis siswaapada materii bilangan bulat dengann menggunakann pendekatan RME dan kontekstual. Metode penelitiann yang digunakann dalaam penelitiian adalah penelitian eksperimen pretes-postes. Populasii pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar se-Kecamatan Arjawinangun, kelas eksperimen RME yaitu siswa kelaas IV SDN 3 Arjawinangun sebagai kelas eksperimen kontekstual yaitu kelass IV SDN 1 Arjawinangun. Instrumen yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah instrumen soal pretes-postes, angket respon siswa, lembar observasi kinerja guru, dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis nilai pretes-postes sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuannyangg berbeda pada kelas eksperimen RME maupun kelas eksperimen kontekstual menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan koneksi dan pemahaman matematis siswaapada materii bilangan bulat. Pembelajaran kontekstual lebih baik secara signifikan daripada pembelajarannRME, sedangkan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis pendekatannkontekstual tidak lebih baik daripada pendekatan RME.

Abstract

The background of this research is conducted because there are similarities between Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMR) and Problem-Based Learning approach (PBM) which are a learning approach that leads students to constructivist learning and low mathematical problem solving ability of elementary school students of math class. The aim of this research is to discover the greater influence among PMR, PBM, or conventional approach in improving students' mathematical problem solving ability. The research method used is quasi-experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The populations are all fourth graders in Arjawinangun subdistrict which are in the superior group of academic year 2016/2017. The sampling technique used cluster sampling with three classes required as samples. The result of this study indicates that PBM approach gives greater influence than PMR and conventional approach in improving students' mathematical problem solving ability.

Abstract

Lack of students abilities in reading Al-Quran hampers the learning process of Islamic Religious Education (PAI Pendidikan Agama Islam) in universities. Ironically, this fundamentalism has not been able to be resolved at the previous level of education. Various methods of reading Al-Quran have been compiled, but in fact, there are still many students who have not been able to read Al-Quran. Hence, this research aims at analyzing the implementation of the TAHQIQ learning model in order to improve Al-Quran reading skills. This research employed the action research method. The research subjects were 360 prospective primary school teachers in one of the universities in Sumedang Regency, consisting of 130 male and 240 female prospective teachers. This research revealed that the TAHQIQ learning model was able to improve the students abilities in reading Al-Quran to reach the level of Jayyid in 12 meetings. Therefore, it can be concluded that the TAHQIQ learning model was able to eradicate students who were Al-Quran illiterate.
