Abstract

This research aims to examine the transformation of da'wah methods in the digital era, especially through the use of social media as a da'wah platform. The development of information technology has changed the way of delivering da'wah from traditional methods, such as lectures in mosques and taklim councils, to more modern through digital platforms, such as Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. Through a literature approach, this study identifies significant changes in the way dai convey religious messages, as well as the challenges faced in the context of social media. The results of the study show that digital da'wah allows dai to reach a wider and diverse audience, especially the younger generation who are active on social media. More interactive da'wah models, such as the use of short videos, infographics, and live discussions through the comment or live streaming feature, are considered effective in attracting the attention of the audience. However, da'wah in the digital era also faces major challenges, such as the spread of information that is difficult to control, hoaxes, and the lack of technical competence of some dai in utilizing digital platforms optimally. This research also formulates effective da'wah strategies on social media, which include increasing digital literacy, collaborating with influencers, and managing interesting content while maintaining the essence of religious teachings. With a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities of digital da'wah, dai are expected to be able to adapt their da'wah methods to be more relevant and effective in the digital era.

Abstract

Hypocrisy is a trait that is very hated in Islam and is a disgraceful trait for its adherents. Hypocrisy is a trait possessed by the enemies of Islam who want to destroy the glory of Islam from within, even trying to destroy Islamic countries, especially those in the Middle East, where Islam first appeared and spread widely among Arabs. This paper aims to find out the practice of hypocritical behavior that occurs at the country level by using a qualitative method that focuses on a literature approach, That is by collecting data obtained from various references in the form of articles, journals, books and research related to material objects and formal objects which are then analyzed using the conspiracy theory of Robert O Zelency (1987). The result of this research is the double standard political success played by the United States who wants to control the oil fields in Egypt and Syria under the guise of calling for democratization in the government system. America acts as a friend to Egypt in the process of transitioning from authoritarian power to democracy and has been very active in guarding the decline of Hosni Mubarak from his leadership, while in Syria, America has supported opposition groups to overthrow a legitimate government that is considered to be running the government in a dictatorial way. America also provided assistance to opposition groups in the form of weapons to expedite the process of overthrowing Bashar Al-Assad from power. America's double-standard politics towards Egypt and Syria is a project undertaken to realize a larger agenda in the geopolitical national political arena.

Abstract

This research aims to compare the metaphysical views of two great Islamic figures, Al-Ghazali and Ibn Sina, with a focus on the concepts of reality, entities, and the essence of existence. The method used is a literature study by collecting data from classic texts written by both figures. The data is analyzed by comparing the differences and similarities of their views on the metaphysical concepts under study. The results of the research indicate that Al-Ghazali and Ibn Sina have some significant differences regarding reality, entities, and the essence of existence, namely (1) Al-Ghazali claims that reality can only be understood through direct experience, while Ibn Sina believes that reality can be achieved through both experience and rational thinking. (2) Al-Ghazali believes that the essence of existence is eternal, while Ibn Sina considers it dynamic and changeable. (3) Al-Ghazali regards individual entities as something real, whereas Ibn Sina states that individual entities are only a part of a larger reality. (4) Al-Ghazali believes that reason must be adjusted to spiritual experience, while Ibn Sina considers them mutually supportive. (5) Al-Ghazali emphasizes faith and spiritual experience, while Ibn Sina regards religion as a tool to strengthen human intelligence in seeking the truth. Nevertheless, the research also found similarities between them regarding reality, entities, and the essence of existence, namely (1) Both agree that reality, entities, and the essence of existence are interrelated and cannot be understood separately. (2) The existence and essence of an entity depend on the properties inherent in the entity itself. (3) There is a close relationship between reality, entities, and the essence of existence with religion and spirituality. (4) Allah is the source of the existence and essence of all entities in reality.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of the dakwah methods of bilhaal (role modeling) and billisaan (verbal communication) in the digital era from the perspective of Islamic communication. The study employs a qualitative approach based on literature review, analyzing the role of digital media in supporting dakwah in accordance with the principles of Islamic communication. The findings of this research include the fact that bilhaal, which emphasizes real-life behavior, has now shifted to social media, presenting challenges to authenticity in the digital world. Meanwhile, billisaan utilizes various digital platforms such as YouTube, podcasts, and Instagram Live, providing opportunities to reach a global audience interactively. Digital media expands the reach of dakwah, enhances interactivity, and offers flexible formats. However, challenges such as the risk of excessive image-building, information distractions, and superficial understanding also arise. This study also finds that relevant, inspiring, and contextual digital dakwah can meet the spiritual needs of an increasingly complex society, especially the younger generation. With an approach that integrates both traditional and digital methods, dakwah can become an effective instrument for social and spiritual transformation.

Abstract

This study discusses the concept of Hulul in the thought of Abu Mansur al-Hallaj, a controversial 9th-century Sufi who introduced the idea of spiritual union between God and man. Hulul refers to the belief that in mystical experience, a Sufi can attain a spiritual union with God, as reflected in al-Hallaj's famous statement, Ana al-Haqq (I am the Truth). This research uses a qualitative approach with literature review, as well as historical, philosophical, and theological methodologies to examine the doctrine of Hulul and its impact on the Sufi tradition. The analysis also addresses the relevance of al-Hallaj's thought to later Sufis, such as Jalaluddin Rumi and Ibn Arabi, who in various ways developed the idea of the union between man and God. The findings indicate that, despite Hulul facing significant criticism from orthodox scholars for being seen as contradictory to tauhid (the concept of God's oneness), this teaching still had a substantial influence on the development of Islamic mysticism and Sufism. The concept of Hulul remains one of the primary symbols of profound mystical experiences within the Sufi tradition.
