Abstract

This study was motivated by students’ low IPAS learning outcomes due to monotonous, teacher-centered instruction. The study aimed to determine the difference in average pretest-posttest scores after implementing the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model aided by the Monedu (Educational Monopoly) media, as well as to measure improvements in learning outcomes through the N-Gain test. The method used was a quantitative pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 30 fourth-grade students from SDN Langgenharjo 01 who were selected using saturation sampling. Data were collected through tests, observations, and interviews, then analyzed using normality tests, paired t-tests, and the N-Gain test. The results showed an increase in the students’ average scores from 64.43 (pretest) to 85 (posttest), with a paired t-test result of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference. The N-Gain test yielded a score of 0.5783, which falls into the moderate category with an effectiveness rate of 57.8%, indicating that the program is moderately effective. Thus, it can be concluded that the TGT model supported by the Monedu media is effective in improving the IPAS learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Langgenharjo 01.
