Abstract

Background: Red ginger contains flavonoids, which can cause vasodilation and decreased cardiac output and pressure. Previous research on red ginger on blood pressure has been carried out and showed significant results. However, it has yet to be studied in nanoparticle extracts, where nanoparticles are the best drug carrier system, so it is necessary to research.Purpose: Making and testing red ginger nanoparticle administration (Zingiber officinale var. rubrum) to reduce blood pressure in hypertensive postpartum mothers. Methods: This is an experimental study with a pre-post control group design. The sample consisted of 40 postpartum hypertensive mothers divided into two groups, namely 20 interventions and 20 controls. The intervention group was given red ginger nanoparticles made using the bottom-up method with a dose of 300 mg and the antihypertensive drug nifedipine, while the control group was given the antihypertensive drug nifedipine alone; both were given for two weeks. Data analysis used the Independent t-test and reapeted ANOVA tests. Results: The systolic blood pressure in the intervention group decreased by 12.95 mmHg on the 7th and 28.4 mmHg on the 14th day (p<0.001) while the control group was 7.05 mmHg on the 7th day and 14.8 mmHg on the 14th day (p<0.001). Diastolic blood pressure in the intervention group decreased by 3.55 mmHg on the 7th day and 11.90 mmHg on the 14th day (p<0.001), while the control group was 2.88 mmHg on the seventh day (p<0.007) and fifth day 35 mmHg on day 14 (p<0.002).Conclusion: Giving red ginger nanoparticles can reduce blood pressure in postpartum hypertension

Abstract

Abstract: Wasting is a condition in which young children lose very little weight, or are below the normal range caused by insufficient nutritional needs of young people. Wasting can also be caused by knowledge in not giving exclusive milk to the young, and incorrect feeding. The purpose of this research is to find out the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and mother's knowledge of the event Wasting on the news in the area of work puskesmas nursing sidomulyo. The study was conducted from May to June 2024 with a type of analytical study with a cross sectional survey design, total samples of 44 respondents. Analysis of exclusive breast milk using Chi[1]square test results P value 0,000 (p<0,05) means there is a significant relationship between exclusive milk and Wasting event. Based on the analysis of mother's knowledge of Wasting events using the chi-scuare test obtained a P value result of 0.023 (p <0.05) meaning there is significant relationship of mother knowledge with Wasting Event. The researchers' advice is for families and the community to understand and pay attention to the symptoms associated with wasting on news. Keywords: Wasting Events, ASI Exclusive, Knowledge

Abstract

Abstract: The family planning (KB) program aims to regulate the birth of children, the distance between births, and the ideal age for giving birth through promotion, protection, and assistance according to reproductive rights to create quality families (BKKBN, 2015). One of the birth control methods is the 3-month injectable contraceptive, which is effective and long-acting (Affandi, 2013). This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of using injectable contraception for 3 months and the increase in weight of acceptors at the Independent Practice of Midwife Arta Pekanbaru. The method used is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach to explore this phenomenon. The research population was all 3-month injection acceptors at that place, namely 115 people, with a sample of 89 respondents taken by accidental sampling. Data was collected using a checklist sheet from the respondent's family planning card and analyzed by distribution using the chi-square test and obtained a p-value = 0.003. The results of the chi-square test showed a significant value (p-value = 0.003<0.05), indicating a relationship between the duration of using injectable contraception for 3 months and an increase in the acceptor's weight. Therefore, it is recommended that midwives provide education regarding the side effects of 3-month contraceptive injections, especially an increase in body weighKeywords: Injectable Contraception, Use of Injectable Birth Control, Weight GainĀ
