Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months without being given other foods except vitamins, minerals and drugs in the form of ORS, drops and syrup. One of the factors causing breastfeeding mothers not to breastfeed exclusively for 6 months is the lack of knowledge and attitude of mothers towards exclusive breastfeeding. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) breastfeeding until the age of 6 months in the world is still very low at 41%, while the target to be achieved in 2030 is 70%. The purpose of this study was to find out whether there is an influence between knowledge and maternal attitudes towards exclusive breastfeeding. This research will be conducted in July-August 2023. This study used analytical research methods with a correlational type with a Cross Sectional design with a sample of 57 respondents. The results of the study obtained a p-value of 0.026 which is lower than 0.05, meaning that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers and exclusive breastfeeding. While the results of the significance test based on maternal attitudes obtained a p-value result of 0.012 which is lower than the significance standard of 0.05, meaning that there is a relationship between maternal attitudes and exclusive breastfeeding. The researcher's suggestion is expected to be used as learning material for respondents to increase the knowledge and attitude of breastfeeding mothers towards exclusive breastfeeding.

Iron supplementation or administration of Fe tablets is an important effort in preventing and treating anemia, especially iron deficiency anemia. Compliance in consuming iron tablets is the obedience of pregnant women in carrying out the recommendations of health workers to consume iron tablets. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of pregnant women and adherence to consumption of iron (Fe) tablets at the Sidomulyo Inpatient Health Center. This type of research, using cross sectional method. The place for taking cases at the Sidomulyo Inpatient Health Center starts from August 2 to. The sampling technique used by accidental sampling method is part of the population, namely 43 pregnant women. Processing and analysis of data using chi square. The results of this study indicate: there is a relationship between maternal adherence in consuming fe tablets and adherence to consumption of iron (fe) tablets at the Sidomulyo inpatient health center. The chi-square statistical test shows that the knowledge variable can be seen with a P value of 0.000 (P <0.05. It is suggested to provide and improve information about the benefits of Fe tablets so that people are motivated to obey iron tablets. Keywords: Knowledge, Compliance, and Fe Tablets.

Abstract

Abstract: The trend pattern of contraceptive use in Indonesia shows that injectable contraceptive methods have been very popular in recent times, the reason is because injectable contraception is more practical and simple (Qomariah & Sartika, 2019). However, the most frequent problem in using injectable contraceptives is that birth control acceptors are late in getting the injection. Based on the results of the preliminary survey, the reason for the delay in the return visit was because the mother said she lacked knowledge and did not get her husband's support, this affected compliance. This study aims to determine the relationship between husband's knowledge and support on contraceptive compliance with repeated injections in the Independent Practice of Midwives Asnamisdarwita, Pekanbaru City. This research uses an analytical survey method with a cross-sectional approach, the data collection method is carried out by distributing questionnaires. The results of the research show that there is a significant value of knowledge regarding compliance with contraceptive re-injections in the Independent Practice of Midwives Asnamisdarwita, Pekanbaru City, obtained a value (p-value = 0.012) and husband's support for compliance with contraceptive re-injections in the Independent Practice of Midwives Asnamisdarwita, Pekanbaru City, obtained a value (p -value = 0.047)<0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge and husband's support for compliance with re-injection contraception in the Independent Practice of Midwives Asnamisdarwita in Pekanbaru City. With this, it is hoped that midwives can provide counseling to new and repeat family planning acceptors about the importance of re-injecting according to schedule so that injectable family planning is effective. Keywords: Knowledge, Husband's Support, Compliance with Repeat Injectable Family Planning

Abstract

Abstract: The family planning (KB) program aims to regulate the birth of children, the distance between births, and the ideal age for giving birth through promotion, protection, and assistance according to reproductive rights to create quality families (BKKBN, 2015). One of the birth control methods is the 3-month injectable contraceptive, which is effective and long-acting (Affandi, 2013). This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of using injectable contraception for 3 months and the increase in weight of acceptors at the Independent Practice of Midwife Arta Pekanbaru. The method used is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach to explore this phenomenon. The research population was all 3-month injection acceptors at that place, namely 115 people, with a sample of 89 respondents taken by accidental sampling. Data was collected using a checklist sheet from the respondent's family planning card and analyzed by distribution using the chi-square test and obtained a p-value = 0.003. The results of the chi-square test showed a significant value (p-value = 0.003<0.05), indicating a relationship between the duration of using injectable contraception for 3 months and an increase in the acceptor's weight. Therefore, it is recommended that midwives provide education regarding the side effects of 3-month contraceptive injections, especially an increase in body weighKeywords: Injectable Contraception, Use of Injectable Birth Control, Weight Gain

Abstract

Injectable contraception, especially 3-month injectable birth control, is very popular, but often causes side effects. Common side effects of DMPA injection contraceptives include menstrual disorders such as irregular bleeding or amenorrhea (no menstruation). In addition, users can experience headaches, give symptoms of depression in patients with a history of mood disorders, severe premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and a decrease in estradiol which can cause vaginal dryness, although this is rare (Qomariah & Sartika, 2019). This research aims to determine the relationship between the use of 3-month injectable contraceptives and menstrual disorders in the Independent Practice of Midwife Yasmita Nora in 2023. This research uses an analytical survey method with a cross-sectional approach to understand this phenomenon. The study population consisted of 106 family planning acceptors who injected 3 months into the practice. Sampling used Total Sampling, resulting in 106 respondents according to the inclusion criteria. The independent variable is the use of 3-month injection contraceptives, while the dependent variable is menstrual disorders. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using univariate analysis and chi-square test (α<0.05). The results of the chi-square test show that there is a relationship between the use of 3-month contraceptive injections and menstrual disorders (0.009). It is expected for midwives to provide knowledge and counseling to prospective acceptors or new acceptors regarding side effects and risks that can occur after prolonged use. Keywords: Injectable contraception, use of injectable birth control, menstrual pattern disorders
