This study aims to determine the best dose for addition of probiotics to the maintenance media for the growth rate and survival of seabass. This study used completely randomized design (CRD) of one factor consisting of five levels of treatment and three replications. The treatments applied are (P0) control without probiotics (P1) with a dose of 2.5 mL/m3, (P2) with a dose of 5 mL/m3, (P3) with a dose of 10 mL/m3, and (P4) with a dose of 12.5 mL/m3. Research results show that P4 gives the best results of the water quality such as temperature ranges from 27.67-29˚C; water pH ranges from 6.67-7.37; dissolved oxygen (DO) ranges from 4.9-5.53; and ammonia ranges from 0.00138-0.00513. Absolute weight growth of 11.67 g; absolute length growth of 12.33 cm; specific growth rate of 3.78%; survival of 100%; feed efficiency 104.67%; and food conversion ratio (FCR) of 0.95

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different stocking densities on the growth and survival of gouramy (Osphorenemus gouramy) fed a feed containing booster aquaenzymes and to determine the best stocking density to increase growth and survival of gouramy. This research was conducted in November-January 2022 at the Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Riau. The container used was an aquarium with a size of 30x50x50 cm. This study used a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with four treatments and three replications. The treatment levels applied in this study were P1 = stocking density of 10 gourami fish/30 L, P2 = 12 fish/30 L, P3 = 14 fish/30 L and P4 = 16 fish/30 L. The results showed that there was an effect of different stocking densities on the growth and survival of gouramy. The stocking density of 10 fish/30 L gave the best growth and survival performance, namely absolute weight growth of 4.06 grams, absolute length growth of 3.25 cm, specific growth rate of 1.93%, feed efficiency 42.69% and survival rate is 96.67%. The range of water quality during maintenance is in the tolerable range for the growth of gouramy fry, namely temperatures ranging from 26.7-28.4oC, pH 6.9-7.5, DO 5.2-5.9 mg/L, and ammonia 0.00047-0.00059 mg/L

Abstract

Barramundi ( lates calcarifer ) is a fish that has important economic value as a consumption fish. The amount of feed spent in the cultivation of Barramundi is high enough. Addition of probiotics to feed is one of efforts made to be able to streamline the amount of feed in the maintenance of Barramundi. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of probiotic addition on the growth of Barramundi use system recirculation as well as got dose the best probiotics. This research implemented on 24 July 2021 – 01 September 2021 for 40 days at the Gogok Marine Aquaculture Center (BPBL), Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau Province. Method used in this study Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatment levels and 3 replications. Treatment in study this is giving Probiotic probio-7 with different dosage namely P0 ( Control ), P1 (10 mL/kg feed ), P2 (20 mL/kg feed ), P3 (30 mL/kg feed ), and P4 (40 mL/kg feed ). Results research that has been done could known that addition probiotics on feed take effect to growth Barramundi (L. calcarifer). Treatment best obtained on treatment dose probiotics 20 ml/kg feed with weight absolute 13.84 grams, length absolute 2.16 cm, speed growth 3.50% specific , efficiency feed 61.43%, and conversion feed 1.62%.

Abstract

The recirculation system, in principle, is the reuse of water that has been removed from cultivation activities. Cachama (Colossoma macropomum) is a relatively high economic value fishery commodity. This study aimed to obtain the best filter dose for water quality on the survival of cachama. The experimental method used a completely randomized design with six permitted treatments and three replications. The treatment used was P0 (without filter) with P1 (100% charcoal filter), P2 (100% zeolite filter), P3 (50% charcoal and 50% zeolite filter), P4 (25% charcoal and 75% zeolite filter), and P5 (75% charcoal and 25% zeolite filter) the fish kept for 50 days. The results of this study showed that the best treatment was P4 (25% charcoal and 75% zeolite filter), which resulted in a recent weight growth of 6.12 g, static length growth of 4.86 cm, growth rate specific growth of 2.08%, survival of 100%, and food conversion ratio of 1.95. Providing 25% charcoal and 75% zeolite filters affects water quality, growth, and survival rate.
