Abstract

Dhuha prayer mentoring is an effort to develop the character of students at State Elementary School Kwaron 1, through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. This study aims to explore and understand the impact of Dhuha prayer practices on the development of students’ discipline and religious character, including attitudes of responsibility, and other spiritual values. Students involved in this program showed an increase in discipline, enthusiasm, and responsibility towards worship and schoolwork. In addition, Dhuha prayer activities can also strengthen social bonds between students, creating a more harmonious and conducive learning environment. The results of the study indicate that regular and consistent Dhuha prayer mentoring can increase students’ religious awareness and improve their behavior and morals in academic and social contexts. Students involved in this program showed an increase in discipline and responsibility towards worship and schoolwork, so this can trigger students’ enthusiasm for learning at State Elementary School Kwaron 1.

Abstract

The discourse of childfree, a conscious decision by married couples to remain childless throughout their marriage, has shifted from a mere private choice to a global ideological movement challenging traditional family structures, including within the Muslim family landscape. This study aims to comparatively dissect the dialectic between the concept of childfree in Muslim families through two conflicting paradigms: Maqaṣid al-Syarī’ah (specifically the pillar of ḥifẓ al-nasl ) and the doctrine of Modern Reproductive Rights (bodily autonomy). The research method used is a juridical-normative approach with a comparative approach and a philosophical approach. The results of the study indicate a deep epistemological gap. Modern Reproductive Rights places individuals as the absolute owners of their bodies (anthropocentric), thus giving rise to absolute freedom to refuse procreation. In contrast, Maqaṣid al-Syarī’ah views reproduction within a theocentric framework, where the body and offspring are divine trusts oriented towards the public good (maṣlaḥah ‘ammah) and the preservation of civilization. This study concludes that the concept of voluntary childfree without medical excuse is rejected by the consensus of Maqaṣid al-Syarī’ah because it reduces the main essence of marriage, but in the corridor of positive law, it is in the area of ​​​​the unavailability of formal sanctions (rechtsvacuum), so its enforcement rests on strengthening the legal culture of Muslim society.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan ubudiyah merupakan aspek fundamental dalam kehidupan keagamaan jamaah masjid yang mencerminkan kualitas pemahaman dan pengamalan ajaran Islam. Namun demikian, dalam praktiknya masih ditemukan berbagai permasalahan, seperti ketidaktepatan tata cara ibadah, perbedaan pemahaman fiqh, serta minimnya pendampingan berkelanjutan bagi jamaah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pelaksanaan ubudiyah jamaah melalui kegiatan pendampingan di Masjid KH. M. Yusuf Hasyim Kwaron, Diwek, Jombang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi edukasi keagamaan, praktik langsung ibadah, diskusi interaktif, serta pendampingan intensif berbasis kebutuhan jamaah. Kegiatan pendampingan difokuskan pada penguatan pemahaman fiqh ibadah, peningkatan ketepatan praktik ubudiyah, serta pembiasaan ibadah yang sesuai dengan tuntunan syariat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman jamaah terhadap tata cara ibadah yang benar, meningkatnya kesadaran akan pentingnya pelaksanaan ubudiyah secara tertib dan konsisten, serta terbentuknya sikap keagamaan yang lebih partisipatif dalam kegiatan masjid. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pendampingan ini berkontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelaksanaan ubudiyah jamaah serta memperkuat peran masjid sebagai pusat pembinaan keagamaan masyarakat.
