Abstract

Abstract

Ratings conducted by students are usually used to evaluate the class process.Research shows that ratings are not only based on objective situational characteristics, but also reflect the characteristics of the assessor. This study uses data from1.745 undergraduate students of Prince Diponegoro University Nganjuk for the last 5 years. The study used single trait-multistate model analysis to unravel the variants of instructional quality (student support, cognitive activation). The relationship between motivational beliefs and the component that was also estimated to be consistent across the rankings was the effect of people. The ranking of teaching quality over time is consistent in the same lecture. Consistency is lower when teaching quality ratings are assessed in various lectures. Consistency is higher in lectures that are considered difficult by students than lectures that are considered important. Students who reported higher expectations for success and interest in lectures also rated instructional quality more positively in all teaching situations. The findings of the study show that the ranking of teaching quality is located and shaped by the characteristics of lectures.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism is a major factor in educational success, as teachers serve not only as transmitters of knowledge but also as moral and spiritual role models for students. In the context of Islamic education, teacher professional development must be based on Islamic values that emphasize a balance between intellectual, moral, and spiritual competencies. This study uses a literature study method with a descriptive-analytical approach to analyze the concept and implementation of teacher professional development management from an Islamic perspective as well as Islamic managerial principles relevant to educational institutions. The results of the study indicate that teacher professional development management in Islam includes four main functions: planning (takhṭīṭ), organizing (tanẓīm), directing (tawjīh), and supervising (raqabah), which are oriented towards moral development, competency improvement, and the refinement of intentions and work ethics. Teacher professionalism is not only measured from pedagogical and professional aspects, but also from sincerity, trustworthiness, and noble character in carrying out duties. By implementing Islamic management based on the values of monotheism, continuous development, and a work culture modeled after the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), teachers can develop into competent individuals with noble character, and make their profession a form of devotion and worship to Allah Swt. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for Islamic educational institutions in designing comprehensive, sustainable, and spiritually oriented teacher development strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of self-management in the perspective of Islamic education by reviewing its integration with behavioral psychology theory and modern Sufi values. Through library research, this study explores classical Islamic works and relevant contemporary theories to find common ground between spiritual disciplines and modern psychology. The results of the study show that self-management in Islam is rooted in the values of tazkiyatun nafs, murāqabah, and muhāsabah, which function as internal mechanisms for behavioral control. Meanwhile, behavioral psychology explains self-management as a process of strengthening self-control and forming positive habits through reinforcement. The integration of the two gives rise to the behavioral-spiritual education paradigm, which is an educational model that balances spiritual, emotional, and behavioral awareness. This study contributes to broadening the understanding of Islamic education to be more responsive to modern challenges, especially in character building and mental health of students in the global era.
