Abstract

Purpose – This study was conducted to address the growing need for a flexible and interactive English language learning platform by leveraging cloud computing technology. Specifically, it aims to develop an Android-based English learning application, Grammarlyze, and examine how Firebase can be effectively utilized to manage and store learning materials in real time, thereby improving accessibility and user experience compared to conventional learning media. Methods – The study employed the Waterfall development method, consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The application was developed using Android Studio with Java, while Firebase Realtime Database and Firebase Storage served as the cloud backend for managing text and video learning materials. System testing was conducted using black-box testing to evaluate feature functionality.Findings – The results show that all core features of the Grammarlyze application functioned as expected. Black-box testing confirmed that 100% of the tested features, including material access, navigation, and data synchronization, were valid. Firebase enabled real-time data management, efficient storage, and seamless retrieval of learning content, contributing to a stable and responsive learning application. Research limitations – This study is limited to basic English learning materials and does not yet include automated evaluation features such as quizzes or adaptive feedback. The findings also limited to functional testing and do not measure learning outcomes quantitatively. Originality – This research provides practical evidence of Firebase implementation as a cloud platform for English learning applications, offering a scalable and efficient model that can extended in future studies to include advanced learning analytics and assessment features.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis model penerimaan teknologi kecerdasan buatan dalam konteks e-commerce oleh mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Makassar. Dengan menggunakan Teknologi Acceptance Model (TAM) sebagai kerangka teoritis, penelitian ini menganalisis model penerimaan teknologi kecerdasan buatan dalam konteks e-commerce oleh mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain longitudinal, data dikumpulkan melalui lembar kuesioner atau angket, sebanyak 63 partisipan sebagai responden. Dalam mengolah data, penelitian ini menerapkan analisis deskriptif, termasuk rata-rata, median, modus, jumlah, nilai maksimum, dan nilai minimum. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi positif terhadap kegunaan kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam e-commerce adalah indikator utama penerimaan teknologi. Temuan ini memberikan landasan untuk pengembangan strategi bisnis yang cerdas dan efisien di era e-commerce yang semakin terhubung, dengan fokus pada meningkatkan persepsi kegunaan dan kemudahan penggunaan AI serta membangun sikap positif terhadap penggunaannya. Ini membantu perusahaan e-commerce memahami dan mengoptimalkan peran positif AI untuk pertumbuhan bisnis yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The development of the Doe'ku application aims to provide an effective digital solution for managing personal finances. The application is designed to improve users' financial literacy through various features, such as transaction records, budget setting, savings plans, and scheduled transactions. This study utilizes the prototype model software development method, which allows for continuous interaction between developers and users during the application creation process. The results show that the Doe'ku application can assist users in effectively monitoring and managing their finances. User evaluations showed that the application provides an optimal user experience with an intuitive and responsive interface. In addition, the application is designed to be accessible and easy to operate, meeting both the functional and nonfunctional needs of users. As such, the Doe'ku application is expected to contribute significantly to improving users' financial literacy and personal financial management capabilities.
