This research analyzes the elements of personality in the main character of Sweeney Todd: The Demon of Barber of Fleet Street by Tim Burton. The researcher uses descriptive qualitative methods because the results of this research are words which are then described. In this research, the reseacher found the elements of personality in the main character of Sweeney Todd: The Demon of Barber of Fleet Street by Tim Burton such as Todd id as the desire wants to revenge Turpin and Beadle because of what they did to Todd’s family, the desire wants to kill Pirelli because he knew his the real identity, and the desire wants to kill Mrs. Lovett because she lied him. The desires as Todd’s id realized and supported by the ego. The way how ego realized all of id in Sweeney Todd, the ego does his role with an action. Thus the superego does not appear much as the id. His role only related with a good value such as when Todd wants to reveal the fake barber about his crime.Keywords: Sweeney Todd, id, ego, superego.

This research analyzes women‘s issues in The Da Vinci Code novel by Dan Brown. In the novel there is a female character named Sophie Neveu . Sophie's role as a woman who can be relied upon in various situations makes her considered as woman who carries the spirit of feminism. The researchers decided to examine the role of Sophie Neveu as reflection of women's equality in The Da Vinci Code novel. The main theory used is Liberal Feminism by Betty Friedan. The form used in this research is qualitative and descriptive method in process of data analysis. The results of the discussion of this research are 1). Sophie Neveu play eleven roles of masculine qualities i.e. strong woman, competitive, courageous, unyielding, confident, independent, adventurous, aggressive, assertive, intelligent and generally acting as leaders, and; 2). The factors that make Sophie Neveu able to play this role is the background of her education. The conclusions of this research are masculine characteristics that can be owned by women and men, to become advanced individuals, women as part of the community must have equal opportunities as men in getting equal education, and the last that education is very important.Keywords: Characterization, Women‘s issues, Women equality, Liberal feminism, Masculine qualities

Attitude have to do with evaluating things, people’s characters, and their feelings. Attitude can be identified not only from the dialogues used by people in their daily life interaction, but also from the characters’ dialogues in a movie. This research takes attitude and its language functions in Aladdin as the main character in Aladdin 2019 movie. This research focuses on; 1) What attitudes are revealed from Aladdin, the main character in Aladdin 2019 movie? 2) What language functions of Aladdin’s attitude in Aladdin 2019 movie? This research use qualitative method. There are two types of data, they are audio visual and document; Aladdin 2019 movie and its movie script. Technique of collecting data in this research use the audio visual documentation study technique and the researcher conducted mixed stages from some of the theories of analyzing data. To analyze data, researcher uses Appraisal System theory by J.R Martin, David Rose, and P.R.R White. The result of this research shows; 1) Aladdin as the main character in Aladdin 2019 movie revealed three types of attitudes; affect, judgment, and appreciation with 2) Aladdin’s attitude revealed five language functions from seven language functions by M.A.K Halliday; representational function, interactional function, personal function, heuristic function and regulatory function. Though, all types of attitude revealed in the movie, yet the most salient attitude Aladdin shown is positive appreciation, and the language used in his expressions has representational function.Keywords: Appraisal System, Attitude, Affect, Judgment, Appreciation, Aladdin.

Islam dan Sunda adalah suatu kasus hubungan ambivalen antara agama dan budaya sebagai dua entitas yang berbeda, tetapi tidak dapat dipisahkan. Agama sebagai nilai ideal membutuhkan budaya dalam mengaktualisasikannya, dan budaya membutuhkan panduan yang berasal dari agama untuk mengantarkan manusia ke tujuan penciptaannya. Kedekatan Islam dan Sunda tidak terlepas dari proses yang terjadi pada pertemuan kedua entitas, juga simpul-simpul yang menyatukan satu sama lain. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memahami kembali proses Islamisasi masyarakat Sunda dan simpul-simpul yang menyatukan keduanya. Proses islamisasi di tatar Sunda yang demikian lancar karena didukung oleh berbagai faktor, yaitu wawasan luas yang dimiliki oleh para leluhur di Sunda dan ajaran islam yang berterima dengan masyarakat Sunda pada saat itu.Kata Kunci: Islam Sunda, budaya Sunda, karakter Sunda, Islam moderat

The environmental crisis created by human activity in the modern era has threatened the existence of planet earth and the lives of various creatures in it. These problems are not adequately addressed by scientific technology and methods alone, but a strategy that can fundamentally and radically change the way people view and behave towards their environment. This study examines the principles of Islamic teachings and their implementation in local wisdom practices of the Sundanese people, as one of the strategies for the development of morals and the way of view of human beings towards nature and the environment.

It is not enough to rely only on science and technology to solve the environmental crisis that is hitting the world globally today. It needs a strength in the form of moral and cultural values that the community believed so they can grow their awareness of the environment. This is the same as the Sundanese people in West Java with the crisis of Citarum river as one of the rivers that has important and strategic roles in Indonesia. The complexity of the problems that have damaged the Citarum ecosystem cannot be solved only by relying on a variety of regulations issued by the government without the community intervention. The excavation and utilization of kabuyutan and tritangtu philosophy as the Sundanese heritage of logical, ethical, and aesthetic values are expected to be one of the supports for the re-growth of public concern for the environment. Therefore, they are expected to participate in the preservation of Citarum, so that the strategic function of this river can be maintained in a sustainable manner.

The improvement of Islamic educational quality in the contemporary era demands madrasah leadership practices that are not only adaptive and strategic but also highly collaborative in facing competitive dynamics and global institutional pressures. This study aims to analyze in depth the strategic leadership practices of madrasah principals in enhancing the quality of Islamic education by strengthening stakeholder collaboration at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Bandung. Employing a qualitative case study design, this research explores leadership phenomena within a unique sociocultural madrasah context. Data were collected through comprehensive in-depth interviews as the primary instrument, supplemented by direct field observations and systematic documentation studies to ensure validity through data triangulation. Research participants were selected purposively, including the principal, the development team, teachers, the school committee, and parent representatives to provide a holistic perspective. The findings reveal that strategic leadership in this madrasah is developed through structured collaborative mechanisms, ranging from participatory vision and mission formulation to inclusive distribution of leadership authority and active stakeholder involvement in educational program implementation. These collaborative leadership practices have proven to significantly strengthen a participatory organizational culture, substantially increase public trust, and maintain sustainable educational quality and stability. This study underscores that collaboration-based strategic leadership is a highly effective approach to transforming the quality of Islamic education. Theoretically, this research enriches the literature on Islamic educational management, particularly regarding the application of distributed leadership practices and value-based governance in Indonesian madrasahs

This study examines the representation of patriarchy and women’s resistance in the film Little Women (2019) directed by Greta Gerwig. The research aims to analyze how patriarchal norms are portrayed in the film and how the female characters respond to these constraints. The study is grounded in feminist theory, particularly Simone de Beauvoir’s existential feminism, which emphasizes women’s agency in defining their own identities and freedom. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, using the film as the primary data source. Data were collected through purposive sampling of selected scenes that depict gender relations, dialogue, narrative actions, and visual elements associated with patriarchal structures and acts of resistance. The analysis focuses on cinematic aspects such as dialogue, characterization, spatial arrangement, costume, and symbolic imagery. The findings show that patriarchy in the film is represented through social expectations that prioritize marriage as women’s ultimate goal, limit women’s professional independence, and reinforce traditional domestic roles. Nevertheless, the March sisters challenge these restrictions through different forms of resistance. Verbal resistance appears through dialogue that rejects patriarchal norms, symbolic resistance emerges through creative and intellectual pursuits, and relational resistance is reflected in the solidarity and mutual support among the sisters. The study concludes that the film portrays women as active agents who negotiate autonomy and redefine their identities within patriarchal constraints.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis desain struktur organisasi madrasah berbasis manajemen pendidikan Islam dengan studi kasus di MAN 1 Bandung. Fokus kajian meliputi: bentuk dan fungsi struktur organisasi, pembagian tugas dan tanggung jawab, serta pencerminan prinsip syura, amanah, ‘adl, dan tawazun. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap kepala madrasah, wakil kepala, guru, dan kepala tata usaha, serta dokumen resmi madrasah. Analisis data memakai model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña dengan reduksi, penyajian, penarikan kesimpulan, dan verifikasi, disertai triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan struktur organisasi MAN 1 Bandung tersusun formal, sistematis, dan fungsional, dengan pembagian tugas yang cukup jelas dan proporsional, didukung koordinasi, komunikasi, dan sistem pelaporan yang efektif serta perangkat administrasi yang memadai. Nilai-nilai manajemen pendidikan Islam terintegrasi melalui mekanisme musyawarah, pelaksanaan amanah dan keadilan, budaya kerja islami, serta penerapan reward and punishment yang terukur, sehingga struktur organisasi dinilai mendukung pencapaian visi–misi madrasah sekitar 90%. Meski demikian, masih diperlukan perbaikan pada transparansi visual bagan organisasi, penguatan mindset, sosialisasi tupoksi, dan kolaborasi lintas bidang.
