Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the significant effect of Mime game towards vocabulary mastery. This approach was quantitative approach Quasi-experimental approach with the test method in collecting data. The research was carried out in several stages starting from validation including pre-test and post-test after that it would find the results of class VIII students. The results showed that students' interest in learning language in class VIII was in the medium category, the population of this study amounted to 258 students and the sample taken in this research amounted to 66 students consisting of two different classes 33 experimental class students and 33 control class students. The experimental class used a Mime game and the control class used a board game. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the average pre-test and post-test of the experimental class and control class were different and for the t-test results a significance value of 0.000 < a = 0.05 was obtained. This results indicate that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. Based on the results of this research, there is a significant effect of Mime game on students vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

The Aims of the research Paper are: To Find out the Types of Figurative Language are used in English Lyric of Song’s, Meaning of this Figurative Language in English Lyric of Song’s and To Find out the Most Dominant Figurative Language in English Lyric of Song’s. in this Research, the researcher used the Qualitative Research since the Data are in the Form of Written or Oral Words the Techniques of Collecting Data, the Collected From the Song’s Entitled of  “Easy on Me” By Adele Laurie. and the researcher did 8 Steps to the Techniques of Analysis Data, Follows: Listening the Songs, Reading the Song Lyrics, Underlining the Word Which Related in Figurative Language, Identifying, Classifies Certain Lyrics, Reanalyzed the Song Lyrics, Coding, and the Last the researcher make a Table and a Pie Chart. The Finding of the Research, The researcher Found Seventeen the Figurative Language in English Lyrics of Song’s are: Alliteration, Hyperbola, Idiom, Irony Litotes, Metaphor, Metonimia, Onomatopoeia, Oxymoron, Personification, Repetition and Simile . The Most Dominant Figurative Language which are used in the Song Lyrics is Repetition Found Three Song Lyric.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the significant Effect of Anagram Game Towards Students Vocabulary Mastery at the Eighth Grade of SMPN 6 Malingping Lebak-Banten in the Academic Year 2023/2024. The researcher paper used quantitative approach and quasi-experimental design. This research was conducted six meetings and the researcher has chosen two classes are a experimental class and control class. The technique in choosing the sample is purposive sampling, the researcher used VIII-A (30 students) as experimental class and VIII-B (32 students) as control class. The experimental class was taught used Anagram Game, while the control class was taught used Pictionary Game. In the collecting the data technique, the researcher gives pre-test and post-test. The score pre-test of experimental class are 1965, the score pre-test of control class are 1730. Then, the score post-test of experimental class are 2340, the score post-test of control class are 2335. In analyzing the data, the researcher used SPSS 29 statistical computation and used the result of the post-test both class experimental and control to analyze the hypothesis test. The researcher has found the result of Significant two-tailed = <0.001. Therefore, the researcher concluded that the usage of Anagram Game has a significant effect towards students’ vocabulary mastery in SMPN 6 Malingping.
