The aim to be reached in conducting this study is to develop suitable English materials for the students of the Information System Department at Technology and Information Faculty of Mathlaul Anwar University so that they can study what they need to learn. The development will produce an English textbook (module) that is relevant to the objective of curriculum and the needs of the students. It is expected that lecturers and the students can take advantage of the product of the development. The design of this study is categorized under Research and Development (R&D) with analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the module is developed which is more valid, practical and effective. The analysis of the validity of the module can be seen from the aspect of content and presentation. The future suggestion for other researchers is to develop an English language module specifically for education. Students need a special book that is more relevant to be a reference for using English in the context of teaching. Because English is an international language, English course in the Information System Department is expected to contribute to all aspects of life, especially when the students graduate from university

The objective of the research was to analyze the first language acquisition on a three years child based on phonological, morphological, and semantic aspects. This research was conducted with descriptive qualitative research where the subject and object were taken from the child at age 3 years old. The researchers took their daughter named Truly Dilara Tenderly Wellaz as the subject and got the data by observation and video recording. Based on the analysis, the researchers concluded that Dilara was able to communicate appropriately. Finally, the parents’ role is important to develop the child language. The parents should build interaction with their children to know their child’s language development. Besides that, the researchers suggest the parents say the right pronunciation to their children

The objective of this study was to obtain the empirical evidence about the effect of using short story toward students’ achievement in vocabulary mastery at the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Labuan. The sample of this study was 70 students taken from the eighth grade of SMPN 1 Labuan. 35 students were from the experimental class and 35 students were from controlled class. The method used in this study was a quantitative method that designed the experimental. In collecting the data, the researcher conducted test twice to both the class in which one was as pre-test and another was post-test. And in analyzing the data, the researcher used t-test formula to find out whether there was a significant difference between two variables in this study. The result of statistic calculation obtained that the value of t-observation (to) was 22.191 and the degree of freedom (df) was 68. In the table of the significance 5%, the value of (df) = 68 was 1.667. By comparing the value of to (22.191) with the value of tt (1.667), it could be seen that the value of to was higher than the value of tt. Then, the alternative hypotheses (Ha) was accepted and the null hypotheses (Ho) was rejected. Based on the result, it could be concluded that the use of short story was more effective in teaching and learning reading comprehension toward students’ achievement in vocabulary mastery than without using short story

The objective of this research was to investigate whether there was a significant effect of two stay two stray technique toward students’ reading mastery on narrative text at the tenth grade of SMK Mathla’un Nawakartika. The sample of this research was 48 students taken from the tenth grade of SMK Mathla’un Nawakartika. 25 students were from X OTKP as the experimental class and 23 students were from X TKJ as the controlled class.The method used in this study was a quantitative method that designed the experimental.In collecting the data, the researcher conducted test twice to both the classes in which one was as pre-test and another was post-test.And in analyzing the data, the researcher used t-test formula to find out whether there was a significant difference between two variables in this research.The result of statistic calculation obtained that the value of t-observation (to) was 5,60and the degree of freedom (df) was 48. Based on the result, it could be concluded that there is significant effect of Two Stay Two Stray technique toward students’ reading mastery onnarrative text.

The objective of the research is to obtain information about the implementation of communicative approach in English textbook. The research methodology in this research is content analysis and the main instruments are text analysis, observation, interview and documentation. Based on the result of the research, it is concluded that communicative approach has been implemented in the design and organization of English textbook. Communicative syllabus has been used as a guideline in creating the organization of the book and each unit. Language content and language style are appropriate with student’s need. The goal of classroom activities focuses on communicative competence. Topic has been selected carefully to ensure that they match the student’s need and interest. The methodology in teaching grammar inductively is also the implementation of communicative approach. The conclusion of this research can be said that English textbook uses communicative approach based on design and organization, language content, topic, skill, and methodology, whereas the suggestions of this research are English textbook should be appropriate with student’s need, give grammar rules clearly, have accessories package completely, topic should be variety and provide more activities or skills that appropriate with the demand of curriculum.

THE IMPROVING OF ENGLISH COMPETENCE FOR LECTURERS OF FACULTY OF TEACHER TRAINING AND EDUCATION OF UNIVERSITY OF MATHLA’UL ANWAR BANTEN. This community service activity is motivated by the thought that the need for lecturers to have good competence in using English in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. With the hope that through its application, students become more enthusiastic in learning. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide scientific assistance to the lecturers of FKIP Unma Banten in using English in the teaching and learning process. While the benefits of this activity are to have a positive effect on the lecturers of FKIP Unma Banten in communicating using English in class and the increasing enthusiasm and achievement of FKIP Unma Banten students in learning. This service activity was carried out in the form of short training for two meetings with members of 10 lecturers held in the hall of FKIP Unma Banten. The first meeting discussed the importance of English, introducing word, clause, and sentences, mastering tenses by using smart fingers technique. The second meeting was a deepening of the material followed by the practice of TOEFL questions and the practice of speaking English in everyday life with simple sentences by participants of FKIP Unma Banten lecturers. The method used in this community service activity is the lecture method, question and answer, discussion and demonstration methods. Based on observations during this community service activity, several positive results were obtained. The results of this community service are the increased insight of FKIP Unma Banten lecturers on English language material and its application in the teaching and learning process in the classroom.

IMPROVEMENT OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETENCE OF SMAN 11 PANDEGLANG STUDENTS THROUGH “HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH CONFIDENTLY” ENGLISH TRAINING. Confidence is the key of success in education. Armed with confidence, every student could certainly develop into a human with a good character. Student who are confident will be able to accept himself, ready to accept the challenge in the sense of want to try something new even though aware that the possibility of one must have and tend to be more succesful in doing what he want. The objective of this community service activity is to provide scientific assistance to the students of SMAN 11 Pandeglang Banten in learning English,especially how to speak English confidently. The community service activity was carried out in the form of short training with members of 40 students held in the hall of SMAN 11 Pandeglang Banten. The method used in this community service activity is lecturing, drilling, questioning and practicing. Based on observation during this community service activity, several results were obtained. The result of this community service activity are increased insight of students of SMAN 11 Pandeglang Banten on speaking english confidently. The students in SMAN 11 Pandeglang Banten can speak fluently, dare to ask and declare in front of the class.

DIGITAL LEARNING AS A MEDIA OF LITERACY IN THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION ERA 4.0. The presence of social media is a communication tool that is able to penetrate space and time. The convenience offered makes social media one of the people's references to access information or news quickly. And sometimes the information obtained is positive and contains the fact, but the information obtained can be hoax. Social media literacy is needed so that its use does not lead to negative things, but rather becomes positive and can build community welfare. This community service activity (PKM) aims to provide learning to students of SMPN 3 Panimbang how to use social media wisely. This activity was conducted in Panimbang , excatly in Gombong Vilage, Panimbang Pandeglang Banten. The method used in this activity was lecturing.

OPTIMIZING READING INTEREST IN CHILDREN OF MEDALSARI VILLAGE DURING THE PANDEMIC THROUGH STORYTELLING. This study aims to (1) Attach the implementation reading method to storytelling students’ interesting in reading at Desa Medalsari when pandemic era, (2) attach to happiness, joy and comfort in fostering reader and listener when reading the book and storytelling. The type of research used is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive research design. This research uses interview, observation and documentation. The object of research is elementary students to leaving at Desa Medalsari. The research showed that students is very interesting and admit that grow up storytelling to help reading interest. The results showed that: (1) the goal of storytelling to make easier the students got the information from the speaker how to read a book from storytelling well. (2) Factors supporting the implementation of reading angles include: the role of the parents who do not provide reading habit, students are not fluent in reading, damaged book. (3) The advantages are the children get the experience of the interesting story. (4) The children will know books and start loving to read books.

STRENGTHENING THE EXAMPLE OF R.A. KARTINI TOWARDS STUDENTS BASED ON THE RESULTS OF THE DISSEMINATION OF GREAT WOMEN INSPIRATIONAL TALKS MATHLA'UL ANWAR. This community service activity aims to provide empowerment to Mathla'ul Anwar University students based on the results of the dissemination of the Mathla'ul Anwar Inspirational Talk activity for Great Women. This activity was held to coincide on April 21, 2021 with the target of students residing in the Mathla'ul Anwar University environment from various majors or study programs. The holding of the Mathla'ul Anwar Inspirational Talk event was a form of appreciation for the role and struggle of Raden Ajeng Kartini in advancing the nation, especially for women whose roles were still limited at that time. By raising the theme of strengthening R.A Kartini's exemplary attitude, it is hoped that R.A Kartini's exemplary attitudes and traits can be transmitted to Indonesian women, especially women in Mathla'ul Anwar University. Through his fighting spirit and attitude, the figure of R.A Kartini can be an inspiration and able to awaken the younger generation to join the spirit and become a creative person.
