Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of sociology learning with an online system in class XIIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Bonti students The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative form. The source of data in this study are teachers of sociology subjects and students of class X IIS1 SMAN 1 Bonti and the data are the results of observations, interviews, and documentation related to sociology learning class X IIS 1 with an online system, the results of this study are known that during learning with an online system in sociology subjects, it was carried out using learning media in the form of WhatsApp and Facebook messenger applications. Where the teacher provides learning materials and learning assignments (homework) through the WhatsApp group and the assignments that have been obtained are then collected through Facebook messenger to the teacher. During the sociology learning process using online media was ineffective because class X IIS 1 students at SMA Negeri 1 Bonti still had difficulty connecting with adequate internet signals.

Abstract

This Study aims to determine the changes in values and meanings that exist in the Sekemi’an tradition for the madurese ethnic community, Dusun Parit Bugis Hulu, Kapur Village, Kubu Raya Regency. Theresearch approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with adescriptive approach method. Data collection techniques used areobservation, interviews, and documentation. Data collection tools areobservation guildelines, interview guildes, documentation tools. Theanalysis in this study is presented in a qualitative and descriptivemanner using 6 informants, all of whom consist of the ethnic maduresecommunity. The results of this study analyze in detail changes invalues and meanings that exist in the Sekemi’an tradition Dusun ParitBugis Hulu, Kapur Village, Kubu Raya Regency, namely: First, thevalue of being willing to sacrifice for the common good, religiousvalues and the value of togetherness which has undergone changes interms of increasing the values that exist in the Sekemi’an tradition isbased on the enthusiasm, loyalty and accountability of the communityin an effort to preserve the traditions handed down by the madureseethnic ancestors. Second, meanings are preserving ancestral adviceand the meaning of belief in ancestors who have undergone changesin terms of knowledge and belief of the madurese ethnic communityin knowing what is allowed and what is not allowed in the Sekemi’antradition and believes in everything that is inherited by the ancestorsabout what to do and what not to do in the Sekemi’an tradition.)

Abstract

This study describes the factors that cause children to drop out of school and the efforts of parents to overcome school dropouts in Bukit Segoler Village, Tebas District. This type of research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data sources for this study were children who had dropped out of junior high school and parents of children who had dropped out. The results of this study are environmental factors, the environment greatly affects children in social life, also plays a role in influencing children's thinking, and the accessibility of the distance from home to school also affects children. The proximity of children to school is related to the provision of facilities from their parents, children's interest in attending school, arising from themselves and from the environment. Parents also try hard to guide motivate, organize their children, so that children still have a strong desire to stop and not go to school anymore.
