Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to identify and develop a comic-based learning media to improve student achievement about vibration subject. The method of this study was Research and Development (R&D) with the model of ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The analysis stage was interviews with the teacher and class VIII J students of MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak, followed by the planning phase that comprised the process of designing the product. During the development phase, the media validation was tested before being implemented in class VIII J of MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak to determine the learning outcomes in the post-implementation phase. The product was then evaluated based on the eligibility data. Based on data analysis, the product is eligible to use based on the criteria: higher validity number; reliability of 0.770; the average score of pre-test > post-test by 41.11 > 77.78 with the difference value of 2.8; the responses on the product by 3.26 with the very good category; and, the effectiveness of product feasibility by 2.92 with a high classification. Therefore, the developed learning media is feasible and effective for improving the students’ achivemnt about vibration in class VIII J of MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak. Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to determine the implementation of Multiple Intelligence-based GASING learning to improve student learning outcomes and interest in straight motion material in Junior High School 1 Sungai Ambawang. This research used experiment method with  pre-experimental design form and one group pretest-posttest model design. The data sources of this research included students of class VIII by analyzed their answers’ form of learning interests and learning outcomes before and after implemented Multiple Intelligence-based GASING learning. The results showed an increase in learning interest of 55.20% with the effectiveness of increased interest gained from the normalised gain value to illustrate how well the influence of the learning implementation is relatively high for. Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test revealed a significant increase in students' learning outcomes showed by (Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05), with the effectiveness of increased learning outcomes based on normalised gain value is pretty moderate  Based on these results, it can be concluded that Multiple Intelligence-based GASING learning effective in improving students ' learning outcomes and interests. The researcher hopes this learning will be used as an alternative teaching physics learning to enhance student learning outcomes and interest. Keywords: GASING, Learning Interest, Learning Outcome, Multiple Intelligence

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to indentify the effectiveness of the implementation of Means End Analysis (MEA) Learning models to improving students problem solving abilities in Elasticity and Hooke Law in SMK-SMTI Pontianak. The research method used was Pre-Experimental Design with the design of One-Group Pretest- Posttes. The samples were students of class X TP 1 with total of 30 students selected using Intact Grup. The student’s solve problems abilities were measured using 5 instrument test essay. Obtained data problem solving abilities of students before given treatment (pretest) with an average percentage of 27,61% categorized as very less and has increased to 82.06% categorized as very good. Wilcoxon statistical test results obtained Asym.sig 2-Tailed of 0,000 (<0.05) which shows that there are significant differences in the students' pretest and posttest results. The effectiveness of the application of the MEA learning model was calculated by using the Cohen effect size formula and the results obtained were 2,34 and classified as high. The implementation of the MEA learning model can be used as an alternative in improving students' ability to solve problems, especially about Elasticity and Hooke Law.Keyword : Ability of solving problem, Elasticity and Hooke Law, MEA
