Abstract

AbstractThe general problem in this research is What Are The Efforts Of Parents in Overcoming Drop out Teenagers in the Hamlet Tumpuan Heart of Bentunai Villages at Selakau Subdistrict. The research method used is descriptive method with qualitative research form. Techniques data collection using direct observation techniques, direct communication, and documentary study with tools of data collection such as observation guides, interviews, and documentation. From the results of the research can be concluded that the efforts of parents in overcoming teenagers drop out of school is still less than optimal. This resulted from the parents efforts to motivate children and the control of children is very less because the parents of busy work, even though parents force children to school and the result of children still choose not to continue school. Parents have provided suggestion and advice to be able supervise and control the child’s when at home, has been trying to foster and remind the child’s even though not maximized. Not supporting the role of parents is also accompanied the attitude of children also less excited or less enthusiastic to school or study home, so happened the problem drop out of the school.                                                                                       Keywords: Efforts of parents, Teenagers, Drop Out of School

Abstract

AbstractThis recent study was aimed at determining, democratic, and permissive parenting aplied by the broken home families in the Teluk Durian village, Teluk Keramat District Sambas regency. This study was conducted using a qualitative method in the form of descriptive analysis. The data were collected using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The finding showed that the parenting applied bay the broken families was divided into three pieces of evidence. In authotarian parenting, Mrs. MR applied the parenting method by restricting her children from making friends by setting rules for their children to interact with other. In democratic parenting, Mrs. WD applied the parenting method by involving them in decision making, giving them the freedom to choose and take action, and approating them with affection. In permissive parenting, Mrs. EY applied the parenting methoad by not caring about children’s friendship, and mot playing enought attention to facilitating children’s needs.Keywords: Broken Home Family, Democratic, Parenting, Permissive

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine (1) Efforts to understand each other husband and wife whodo not have children in maintaining a marriage. (2) Efforts to respect each other'shusband and wife who do not have children in maintaining the marriage. (3) Efforts tounderstand each other's husband and wife who do not have children in maintaining theirmarriage by being honest with each other, respecting differences and giving a gift tocouples in the absence of children in the family so that their family is maintained. Themethod used in this study is in the form of a narrative in the data collection process. Thesources of data in this study are married couples who do not have children in maintainingtheir marriage. The data in this study are the results of interviews with married coupleswho do not have children in maintaining their marriage. For the process of collectingdata, namely the observation and interview techniques in this study. Data collection toolsused observation guides, interview guides and notebooks and archives. The results of thestudy show that married couples who do not have children in maintaining their marriageevery marriage must experience problems in the household, one of which is the absenceof a child in their marriage, surely the couple feels anxiety in the household, thingshusband and wife strive for so that their relationship remains harmonious with mutualhonest efforts, respecting differences and efforts to please each other, for example,honestly, a husband compliments his wife's cooking, respects each other's differences byfollowing the partner's will to be unselfish and prioritizes mutual interests and efforts tomake couples feel happy, namely giving gifts to their partners.Keywords: Husband, maintain marriage, wife

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine parenting styles in mixed marriages between Dayak and Malay ethnicities in the Office Village, Delta Pawan District, Ketapang Regency. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative research form. The data source of this research is a married couple of mixed marriages between Dayak and Malay ethnicities in the Office Village, Delta Pawan District, Ketapang Regency. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation, while data collection tools use observation and interview guidelines, observation and documentation. The research analysis was presented in a descriptive qualitative manner using six informants, consisting of two married couples and one child from each husband and wife. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in the category of parenting towards 1) permissiveness; 2) authoritarian and 3) democratic as seen from the cultural elements of the livelihood system, religious system and social system from each parent to their child. Where there is a process of cultural domination and cultural assimilation with a complete two-way process of parenting towards a permissive, authoritarian and democratic approach to mixed marriages between Dayak and Malay ethnicities in the Office of Delta Pawan District, Ketapang Regency.Keywords: Parenting Styles, Mixed Marriages, Dayak Ethnicity, Ethnic Malay
